Chapter 18 - Chapter 18

I was stunned and angry at the same time as I watched Peter treating Amanda like an animal.

It was hard to watch the person I love treated like a piece of trash.

"What the fuck did you do to her?!" I hissed at Peter who was petting Amanda's messy hair.

"Ah... she's now my submissive! She does everything I tell her to do---- everything, Brad...EVERYTHING!" Peter said with pride.

"Seems like you don't believe me..." he said as I looked at him in discontentment.

He then narrowed his eyes and gave me a devious smile as he pulled her hair to stand.

"Bitch! Slit your wrist and drink your blood!" he commanded.

I was horrified when Amanda took the knife and cut her own wrist. She clenched her fist and blood soon dripped from her wound. She licked the knife before sucking her own blood like a hungry vampire!

My stomach churned. I felt so sick that I covered my mouth trying so hard not to throw up.

"That's enough... leave us!" Peter ordered satisfied by my reaction.

"Yes master!" she replied before leaving the room like an obedient puppy.

Peter laughed and jumped as he clapped his hands joyfully.

"Isn't that entertaining?! Tell me! Tell me!" he said as he laughed.

"You're sick! How could you?!" I yelled.

"That bitch played with my heart! She toyed with my emotion!"

I looked at him with confusion.

"When I confessed to her in high school, she promised to love me back! But.... then YOU came... and chose you over me!"

"I moved on with my life after that painful heartbreak! However, our path crossed in an unexpected event."

He changed his tone to a very, very sad one.

"We were both survivors of a car accident which made her an orphan 2 years ago. Whilst in the hospital, I recognized her, so I went on to talk to her. Alas! She couldn't remember me nor---- herself."

"I was sad at first. Then, I thought that the odds were on my favor," he said triumphantly.

"You piece of shit!" I huffed.

"I manipulated her. With drugs on your side, it's no sweat!" he said casually ignoring what I said.

I slammed him on the wall and choked him with my hands.

"No. No. Don't do something stupid or else you will never see both Amanda and Sheryl alive!" he said while shaking his head.

I harshly removed my hands off him as I cursed in desperation.

He enjoyed looking at me like a cornered prey.

"Why?!" I asked.

"Does it even matter?!" he said changing his happy tone to a cold voice.

"Yes! Coz' I don't have the slightest idea why! Is it because of Sheryl?"

He looked surprised.

"I know that she's your younger sister! But I still don't understand why you have to harm her to get even with me!" I shouted.

He became agitated. He pulled his hair and banged his head on the wall. He screamed like a mad dog.

"You have NO idea! You don't know anything! Because you are always favored... ALWAYS the golden boy!"

He stormed out of the room and locked it.

I screamed and cursed as I punched the wall to release my fury and frustration.

At the hospital...

"What do you mean you don't know?" Helena scolded my friends inside her car at the hospital's parking lot.

"He just told us to go for a walk, so we thought maybe he needed some space to think," Luke explained.

"But... we heard him mentioning Peter's name over the phone earlier," Diana uttered.

"Oh my god! Do you think---" Cassandra said while covering her mouth.

"We are not certain about this, so please stay here and keep your eyes wide open. I will go back to the guesthouse to look for clues. Attorney, keep me updated," Helena instructed.

Helena went back to the house looking for clues. She searched every room leaving nothing unturned. My room was the same as we left it a while ago. She went to my table and began searching the drawers and books piled.

She didn't know why but her intuition told her to get the framed photo of Amanda on top of my CPU.

Then, her phone rang.

"Wolfe... come here quick!" Keira's voice was shaking.

So, she drove back to the hospital with the photo in her hand.

"Helena... this is detective Romanov. He's the Chief of the island's police department," Owen introduced.

"Nice meeting you sir," Helena said as she shook his hand.

"There is something that I wanted to show you!" Det. Romanov said in his deep authoritative voice as the two officers arrived in the IdFPD office.

"I dug into Peter's past and I stumbled upon this..." he said as he clicked the mouse and a criminal record appeared.

But it wasn't just a simple record. It was a very disturbing one!

"Holy shit!" Helena exclaimed as she examined the file.
