"What are you doing here?" Mo Hua was in utter shock.
Yan Xuan who was almost ready to kiss her, was taken aback by her words. He turned towards the direction Mo Hua was looking at.
"Who is …." He was surprised to see the most unexpected person standing there at the entrance of the girls' dorm.
Mo Hua straighten up and brushed the hair strand which was tickling her pink cheeks. She felt shy and lowered her eyes embarrassingly.
Yan Xuan saw the subtle change in her behavior and felt anxious as well as jealous.
He gently surrounded his arm around her waist possessively and asked her with a bit distressed voice, "SWEETIE, who is this man?"
Mo Hua was stunned when he stressed more on the words Sweetie. It was a term of endearment but she felt a glint of anger inn his tone.
"MoMo! What's going on? Who is this man? Is he bullying you? Come here." with that the person standing in front of them leaped forward trying to pull Mo Hua away from Yan Xuan's arm.
"Don't even think to touch her…" Yan Xuan warned him.
Mo Hua who was still trying to figure out what was going on came out of her thoughts when she heard Yan Xuan's cold voice.
She understood that the cold was already started between the two closest people in her life. She nodded her head helpless as she knew both of them are possessive.
"Xuan, this is my best friend, Chen Liam." Mo Hua said as if trying to pacify a kid.
"And Liam, this is Yan Xuan." Mo Hua paused for a while which made Yan Xuan feel more disappointed at his incomplete introduction.
Before he can say something, Mo Hua mockingly answered to Liam, "And no he is not bullying me."
"So why was he trying to force himself on you?" Chen Liam asked suspiciously.
Mop Hua chuckled lightly, "Hehe, he is my boyfriend Liam. He was not forcing himself on me. We were just. You know. Uhm." She smiled shyly.
Chen Liam was left dumbfounded this time.
'What!'
'Boyfriend!!'
"MoMo when did you get a boyfriend for yourself?", Chen Liam exclaimed in shock.
"Liam!! What sort of question is this?", Mo Hua sounded irritated this time due to his childish question.
"MoMo! Didn't you say that you don't have a boyfriend when we met earlier today?", Chen Liam still found it hard to believe that Mo Hua, his best friend is not single anymore.
"Yes. But she has now. We are coming back from our first date and you are disturbing us right now." A cold voice echoed in the air which was coming from Yan Xuan.
He was already angry and jealous due to disturbance caused in their lovey-dovey moments but now he was angrier when Chen Liam mentioned about their meeting earlier today.
All the images from afternoon flashed in front of him and he got angrier. He wanted to vent out his anger but restrained himself as he knew Chen Liam was important for his girl. He had seen how she admired her best friend.
He was not the one to break the two friends apart for no reason and he was not sure about Chen Liam's intentions as of now. So, he decided to first understand the person in front of him first before making any conclusions.
Mo Hua who was also surprised by Yan Xuan's unexpected words, she laughed and tried to ease the situation, but the heat was rising with the amount of time they stood there together.
"Hehe, Liam, wait for me there." Mo Hua pointed towards the exit door of the dorm on the opposite side, and continued, "Let me send Yan Xuan back. Then I will come find you."
With much hesitation, Chen Liam nodded in agreement," Okay come soon. I will be right there waiting for you.", then he stared at Yan Xuan and said," And you. I am watching you like hawk. Don't forget."
Yan Xuan smiled evilly and without responding he pulled Mo Hua in his arms again and started looking at her shy face.
"So, you want me to leave?" he asked in stressful voice.
"Don't worry Xuan, he is my childhood friend. Just like my elder brother. He is protective towards me and so he is behaving rudely with you. Give him sometime and he will come around."
Yan Xuan was still reluctant and sensing this, Mo Hua tiptoed and left a peck on his lips. She smiled sweetly and hugged him.
Yan Xuan was surprised when he saw her taking initiative and liked it. He hugged her back and rubbed her hair with his one hand while holding her waist with other one.
"Xuan, don't worry okay. Go back and give me a call. We can talk for a while if you want before sleeping. Okay?"
Yan Xuan let go of her and kissed her forehead while nodding in agreement. He placed a kiss on her lips and then cheeks and said, "Okay. I will go back first then. Take care."
Yan Xuan got in the car with a sad face and left the place swiftly.
Mo Hua sighed n relief and then remembered the evil friend waiting for her at exit door. She saw headache coming as she knew he must be full with questions and also angry at her.
Chen Liam was protective of her because of certain incident in past. Mo Hua was bullied by her ex-boyfriend in school which left her in depression for many months.
Chen Liam stood by her side for all the time and helped her come out of that trauma.
That day Mo Hua promised him that she will never fall in such traps again until she completes her college and starts working. So, when he saw her with a guy, he was worriedly sick for her.
He was scared that history would repeat itself if this guy is also like her ex-boyfriend. He wanted to protect her at any cost.
Mo Hua knew his protectiveness so didn't get angry.
She walked towards the spot where Chen Liam was waiting for her. She didn't how she can convince him that Yan Xuan was not an evil person. She can't disclose to him that she got to know him only for a day before she agreed for relationship.
"Liam. Let's talk."
