Chapter 38 - Entering the gathering

I felt like I had been run over by a herd of prey animals and dropped into running water over a sheer drop among ragged rocks.

Dramatic in description of my body, but it hurt all over, and at the moment my brain was still being lazy in assessing the situation.

My heart hurt not as much before I passed out, but the ache it felt like it had been squeezed, so tightly it was on the verge of bursting.

I struggled with myself, feeling extremely weak, I could not understand this feeling.

What is this feeling like I had lost something important?

As if the thing that belonged to me was destroyed?

I could not understand, and thinking hurt too much to even try thinking any harder.

A sweet scent invaded my nose, I knew it very well over the many suns.

It was a scent that felt calming as I struggled within myself.

How can this be?

She did not have such a scent before; it is almost as if she had changed somehow.
