Chapter 12: Welcome to Arc Empire

When everyone entered the portal they were amazed by the beauty of their new home.
"Everyone please gather!"
Soldiers arranged them on their cart and moved.
Along the way, the man in nobility speaks.
"Everyone from different races and bloodlines I welcome you to our abode, ARC EMPIRE!"
And he continued…
"As for why, please ask." He let them guess.
"Why are we here?"
"Do we have to live here?"
"Are you going to kill us?"
*chatter
Many people asked out.
"Enough!"
Then everyone went silent!
"Today you'll go to live here temporarily until the end of the awakening." He said
"Awakening?" Someone voice out.
"That's right those who will be awakened their powers after the ceremony of awakening will be accepted in our Arc Academy and you will have the chance to live as Noble!"
"Noble!" Someone exclaimed.
Among the residents of Arc Empire joined the chat.
"Being a noble is the greatest position in Arc Empire! And I dreamed to become one!"
"They're so majestic and in just one word they can have what they want!"
"Humph… Riches and powers are everything in ARC EMPIRE! All you have to do is to have your child to be awakened!" The man in nobility speaks.
Then someone interrupted.
"How about us with no child?"
"Yeah! How about us!"
The man in nobility looked at that person.
"Okay, okay. For those who are here with or without a child, you will be accepted as an Outer Family of Arc and you don't have to worry about anything as long as you serve our empire you will have those things you been dreaming of." He smiled.
And then he walked away.
"Mama, what is awakening?" The cute girl said.
"Awakening happened at the age of 7. They will have to wake their affinity."
Her mother looked at her with concern.
"Mama, don't worry. I won't let you down."She said.
'Mama I will prove to Papa that I can be strong like him!' She said.
That girl was of course Mirae. She doesn't look that aggressive but with pure motivation.
Those children under 8 years old held their ego in high spirit and most of them were from inner and core family.
In the balcony of the palace which seems to be a beauty held her daughter with a hair of green pigment.
"My child, you don't have to worry. Even if you don't have the power you are still my child."
She said with care.
"Mama…" and this daughter hugged the beauty.
One mile seems too far but isn't that far. Don't they have affinities? A mile isn't that great.
After 3 hours until they arrived at their destination point.
One can see a gigantic wall all over the borders of the palace. It is like an Empire which describes by the nobles.
"So BIG… and majestic."
Everyone can feel the glory of Arc Empire.
"Noble Mare please follow me." A lady who seems to be attendant speaks.
"Thank you, please lead the way." She replied with a gentle voice.
When everyone heard about it they felt envy!
A Noble!
They're travelling with a noble!
Among them came from noble families!
More and more person walked at the entrance and some lead by attendants and some were not.
Of course, many of them were envious but this is the reality. Given those who came from the pure bloodline, the family are to be respected.
Nonetheless, they can't be matched up with anyone from outer or inner Families!
When they arrived at the centre of the Hall, inside the palace one could see a man in his 70's or so.
"My daughters you have arrived… cough…cough…"
"Yes, father." Both of them replied.
"Mare, where is your child?" The old man said.
Then Mare looked beside her and hold her child from his wrist gently.
"Little Ner, that is my father, Von Harold Arc III, your grandfather. Please introduce yourself." She said.
"Uhmm… I'm Gner Arc." He said then continued.
"Grandfather…."
As he said those word one could feel his eyes were in contempt.
"Ahahaha… good! Good! You have a good son Mare, I can see his father eyes in him. Ahahaha… cough… cough…"
The old man said while coughing.
When little Ner heard this he was eager to know about his father.
"Old man! Do you know about my father!? Can you heal him!?" Gner suddenly shouted without respect.
Then Mare moved.
"Father, I'm sorry my child is….."
"Haha, It's okay Mare." Then he looked at Mare's child, Gner, "Don't worry my child I will help your father." The old man said in assurance.
"Thank you father…but…" Mare said apologetically.
"Attendant please look after them and give them the best meal!"
"Yes, my king!" The attendant said with respect.
He is the King of Arc Empire!
"Minerva your stay and your daughter." The king said.
"Yes, father."
Little Ner spotted his Auntie Minerva and her daughter, Mirae!
Actually, Mare isn't Minerva sister but sister amongst sisters. Mare is the 12th daughter of the king, the youngest.
Gner passed Mirae with a gaze.
"..."
The two of them crossed their fate again!
'Mirae I'm going to let you remember how you chased me and killed Purple.' He thought.
Unknowingly to Mirae, she doesn't know what he was thinking. Just by looking at him, she could feel his animosity.
'Who is he? ' She thought.
Then that kid went away with his mother….
