Ava was a girl who had everything she could ever want. She lived in a small rural town that had no name. It was so small in-fact that she knew almost everyone who lived In the town. She had a special bond with this town, and all the the people knew it. Everywhere she went she was greeted with smiles and joy. "Hello Ava. How are you today?". Ava turned to greet the kind old lady that ran the local grocery in town. "I'm doing great Mrs. shea! I'll stop by the shop after schooool!". Ava tried to wave as she sped by on her bicycle, going fast down the hill that seperated her neighborhood from the bustling town. It was Monday and the start of a new school year for Ava. She was on her way to school following the same route shes taken since she was young. This was how life was in this small unnamed town. Everything was the same, nothing changed, and the people never seemed have a bad day. Ava kept speeding along, waving to everyone that passed by.
SSSCCRRREECH!!!
BAMM!!
Ava slammed on her breaks and skid to a stop.
This was new, two drivers had crashed their cars. Both drivers got out, almost looking bewildered at how this could've happened. Luckily the two drivers were uninjured and looked as if they were already apologizing.
"Huh.. thats different. Well I guess some people are just really unlucky.....OH NO!! I'm gonna be late!!"
Ava turned the corner and began her bike ride once more, racing along to reach school before the bell.
"If I miss the assembly Filo will kill me!"
As Ava turned the corner she saw the school gates, but they seemed to be closing on her.
" No please dont shut!! I'm right here!! gotta make it, gotta make it!!"
In just that moment as Ava was about pass the gates a large lengthy man appeared, spooking Ava in the process.
"AHHHH!!"
CRASHHHH!!!
Ava made it in the school gate but after being spooked lost control and crashed into the front of the building, luckily there was a bush to slow her crash.
"owe owe owe owwwe... that hurt. Who was that?"
"I am so very sorry miss. May I help you up?"
The tall man had walked over to her to help. He was very tall and lanky, wearing a nice suit and tie. He looked older than her parents.
"OH! It was you principle Irving. What were you doing at the gate?"
He helps her up out of the bush, all while dusting her off.
"Well I was closing the gate. Its only just passed the bell. You were very lucky getting inside before I fully closed it."
Ava looked at her bike, it was now very dirty and one of the spokes had completely bent.
"Well I'll need to get this fixed. Wait whens the assembly start sir?"
The principal looks at his wrist, revealing a very nice watch.
"Hmmm it looks like its starting right now. Better get along to the auditorium young girl"
"OH NO! Thank you sir, I have to get going. I cant miss this otherwise Im dead. Byyyee!!"
Ava yelled as she ran away to the auditorium leaving the principal alone with her disheveled bike.
"I guess I'll find you a home little one"
