Later that night, I woke up to do some research about this place and indeed about the King himself. I left my room, still wearing my school uniform as other clothes were not provided yet. While I was strolling in the lobby, I heard some soldiers coming this way. I quickly concealed my presence and walked past them. Since they were common soldiers who weren't well versed in tricks like this, they couldnt sense me and walked away.
After walking a little further I discovered a room. I went in and found out that it was a library. I went through some books to confirm my suspicions and sure enough this was the world where I had been summoned about 2 years ago, but the time over here went by much faster than on Earth. 2 years on Earth is about 20 years over here. After confirming this, I went out of the library and went to the Kings room, which was about the size of a football field, to do some eavesdropping. The king was talking to his army chief about some incident that had occurred at the border. The chief was a young man about 25 years old, he had dark brown hair and a very well built physique.
I had my presence concealed but the chief noticed me as expected and asked,
" Who's there?"
I had let him sense my presence deliberately. On his asking I did not answer. He asked again, this time he drew out his sword as well. This time I came out and said...
" Its me."
They both were quite shocked on seeing me there. The chief asked me in a very intimidating voice...
" What are you doing here?"
I answered without hesitation....
" I was here to talk to the king."
He asked,..." And what did you need to talk to the king about?"
I answered without fear or hesitation in my voice,..." Its nothing that concerns you."
When he heard this he became infuriating and closed his distance to me and then said,..." What concerns the king, concerns me as well." in a very strong tone and he threw a gaze at me which said," know your place." I looked back at him without any fear in my eyes and then I said, " very well then."
I then turned to the king and said, ...." By any chance is your full name Asmal Lokka von baemasterr?"
When they heard this, a moment of silence fell in the room. Then the King said... "How did you know?"
Then I told him my name, I said...." I am Alex Greyart."
Upon hearing this, the King stood up from his seat in shock. The chief asked me in a very timid tone,...." You mean you're THE Alex Greyart?" I nodded as to affirm his statement.
The chief immediately replied while shouting...."I dont believe you." and came at me with his sword.
I was expecting this kind of reaction from him. He drew closer to me and swung his sword at me whichi easily dodged, then he threw a barrage of sword attacks at me but none of them hit me. He backed away momentarily and came back at me with an attack but this time I hit his sword with my leg. The sword flew away and dropped about 10 metres from where we were standing. He looked at me in disbelief.
On seeing this the king immediately came towards me and hugged me. He had a wide smile on his face. I was quite shocked at his reaction. I didnt expect him to hug me in front of that chief. Then I said to him with a serious look...."Why did you lie?" He tilted his head in confusion. I asked him again, "Why did you lie when you said that you havent summoned anyone before and you dont know a way of sending them back?"
He answered while averting my gaze, ...." Well the method to send back summoned peoe is very dangerous and could prove to be fatal if done wrong, so I kept quiet about the fact that we had summoned you and sent you back as well."
" That is true." I said in response.
Asmal was my closest friend in this world. He fought with me and taught me many things when I came to this world the first time.
" You're the great hero Alex Greyart that came 20 years ago so why are you still in your teens? Do you not age?" The chief asked me.
" Yes, I do not age. Actually I am around 300 years old by now. " I said that with a serious face. The chief looked at me with surprise.
" Dont believe his words so easily. He is a very sly guy." The king sighed while saying that.
"The time in my planet is a lot slower than here. 10 time slower actually, so I didn't age that much." I said that while explaining to the chief.
Then me and Asmal spent the night while talking about what had happened since the last time I was here.
