Yaeger returned to the cabin that same evening. As everyone finished with their meal, the goddess told them that she got tired from doing a week's worth of paperwork.
"That's a figure of speech, right?" Harun asked. This confused the goddess only to be reminded that, she didn't tell these mortals about the time difference within her realm.
"That's right I completely forgot to inform you! One day inside my realm is equivalent to a week in Mythos." Yaeger said as she ate her diner.
This made the whole group panic except for Zeke who calmly chewed down his food.
"Master." Allesiah moved beside Zeke and began speaking.
"Won't that be troublesome?" Allesiah whispered through Zeke's ear.
"No it won't. At your current levels, we can't hope to beat Gallio anyway. That's why we need to train." Zeke answered after swallowing his food.
"But what if something bad happens while we're away?" Sylph asked, thinking of all the household members who ran away.
"That is none of my concern. I can't do anything about situations that I have no control over. What we need to focus is what's right in front of us. Don't go trying to become heroes and save every single soul you can think of." Zeke lectured.
This is a hard pill to swallow for the elves who valued bonds. However, they know that what Zeke said holds true. At their current level, the five of them can't do much help in the battlefield. If all comes to worse, they might just drag Zeke down.
"That's some level headed thinking there human." Yaeger said, gaining some interest in Zeke.
To this, Zeke didn't respond anymore and quickly finished his meal. He then left the items on the table for everyone to pick up.
"The [Stamina Potions] you took should be straining your muscles right now. I suggest you rest and continue the training tomorrow." Zeke said as he opened the door of the cabin.
This is the only downside of the newly added potion type. There is an aftereffect that one will feel once the potion's effects wear off. The built-up strain on the body will come flooding in. This does not inflict pain but, the effect makes it difficult for anyone to move properly.
"Take a good night's rest. Once you recover, take the supplies and continue with your training tomorrow. We'll be going by the same groups again." He said, stepping outside.
Zeke took out his [Teleportation Scroll] which led him back to the spot where he came from. The portal only works on areas which a person has already been to. He then looked at the four components of the task he currently has. Except for the side of the forest being cleared by Zeke, the other groups have barely made it through a hundred kills.
"We've only defeated this many?" Zeke told himself, worrying about the current number of monsters that has been defeated.
The mission indicates the number of monsters slain, and how many more is necessary before the stronger monsters come out. It is only Zeke who can singlehandedly clear an area. Every other group has it harder as they need to take on the monsters by batches of 10 and lower.
These are evolved monsters after all. Like it or not, they are stronger than [A] tier monsters which have not undergone evolution. The only reason the elves even stood a chance is because, one of them has been personally trained by Zeke (Allesiah). While, the other group consists of elves whose skills are on an elite level.
"Poison Cloud." Zeke began, enveloping the area with Death clothed in green.
He then dispatched all the remaining units which, is not much because of the [Conjure Merge] he performed with Cull. In fact, there are no less than 30 weaker units at the moment. Aside from these, all Zeke has are Cull, Gul, Samael, Al, Lupus, and Erio.
He then thickened the mist as he went to a safe distance, killing the monsters off without having to fight them. As he did, he tried conjuring the dead monsters which failed miserably.
"Dammit why are these guys much harder to conjure?" Zeke asked himself, consuming mana as he continued trying until he finally succeeded turning one into his creatures. All other tongues of fire broke and vanished meaning, the success rate is quite low.
Irritating as it may be, the strength of his evolved summons makes up for the lack of units. The three are now a balanced set of Tank, Range, and Melee. As Zeke thought of this, he looked at Samael, Al, and Gull, which have yet to evolve.
"No, it's too risky." Zeke said as he thought of merging the three together.
With his current [Conjure] level, it's not likely that he'd succeed in fusing them together. Thus, he just focused on raising their ranks, hoping that they reach the level where they can evolve.
Adding to the benefit of his depleted number of units is the fact that, there are now less who need to share with the experience gained. This means that the elves will raise their levels faster and so will Zeke.
Aside from the constant fighting, Zeke realized that he should make a long-range weapon for himself. One which is not found in Mythos.
The thought is simple, so much so that it got unnoticed by him. This is mainly due to the fact that he is sent to an old world setting with technology that advances through magic.
He looked at what his inventory currently stores. There are a bunch of claws that are as sharp as steel. Blades that came from fighting the bandits and elves, and some core from the golems that stores and pumps out mana.
"Okay, let's test this out." Zeke said to himself as he used another new function of the [Gamer System's] crafting option.
He disassembled a single blade in order to see what will come out and as he did, various materials appeared in his notification.
[You obtained the item: Rock Steel x16]
[You obtained the item: Cloth Grip x1]
[You obtained the item: Iron Ore x1]
He then proceeded to performing the same process on the other weapons that are currently in his storage. Apart from this, he expanded the slots to his inventory as the number of materials kept multiplying. Just like in some games, the limit to an item being stored is [x99] after this, a new slot is required for the same material.
Money is not an issue for Zeke as he sold a bunch of items and materials already. Thus, he has enough to make enough room in his inventory.
After sorting out the materials, he began mixing them together, creating higher grade materials while also looking at what the materials could make.
"I need two rails, an armature, and a good enough projectile." Zeke told himself, having the concept all in his head.
He didn't need to have the crafting skills of an expert in order to build the weapon that he wishes to create. All he needs is to combine the items that would fit the requirement and let the System do the hard work.
And, what came out of his little experiment are twin pistols. The weapons are of the same color as the weapon of Gallio, an Onyx black which seemed to hold an ominous amount of power.
Adding to this are bars at the side of both pistols. These things change with the color of a neon blue as the weapon charges up. Aside from this, every other feature of the weapon looks like a modified Dessert Eagle.
Soon after came the notification and his [Analysis] which inspected the weapon.
[Notice: A new weapon has been created.]
[Item Name: None]
[Usage Level Requirement: 40]
[Durability: 100]
[Rank: A+]
[Information: The weapon makes use of a magnetic field created by a magnetic current charged from the mana core imbued into the weapon. The weapon can store more than 1,000 volts of electricity before the projectile inside is fired.]
[Information: The weapon requires a charging time of up to 10 seconds at best in order to fire at maximum capacity. 3 seconds are needed for the minimum amount of force.]
[Information: Materials have been added in order to add an aiming function to the weapon. This raises accuracy by 10% and shows the area which will be damaged by the strike.]
Zeke quickly tried out the weapon, seeing a group of earth golems appear on his minimap. He pointed his pistols at the direction of the monsters and began charging it. Lightning surged through the weapon making it dangerous for a normal human to wield. Luckily, Zeke's [Gamer's Body] prevents him from feeling any physical pain.
At the side of the gun, the charges began filling up and, as it reached maximum output, Zeke pulled the trigger. The bullets flew past everything, putting a hole into whatever comes in their way until, they reached their targets.
The golems got destroyed in an instant. The same monsters which have been difficult to deal with. The same monsters which has an insane amount of health. That monster crumbled down as the bullet pierced through it.
Zeke smiled as he saw the fruit of his work, inspecting the guns as he held them in his burnt hands.
"I guess some configurations still need to be made."
