Calm is an understatement. I can't hear any sounds around our entry point. We are very slow to enter and head for the company. All the others are hitting the assigned areas at this very moment. At the company I walk in with my briefcase and ask to see Mr. Ferez in a very serious tone. Meanwhile Kuro is loading a virus into the computer system and Azul is freezing all assets. Clem comes in looking the most beautiful I've ever seen her. She just walks up to the desk and says Valentino called her to come immediately.
To my astonishment it works. She goes right in. I growl with the knowledge that he might touch my mate. The secretary announces for me to go on in. I stand up looking shocked, as I walk in the secretary is shaking her head. My Clem is holding a dagger at his neck, we all know this alone isn't enough to kill him but everyone wants to see what happens next.
As we are dealing with Valentino our troops are dealing with the vampires in all of Spain. Everything happens at once, this makes it better for our troops. The money, the power, the inheritance, and the empire of the vampires. I don't mind they have their kingdom but they should be willing to secure peace, not war.
I just take out this evil part of the vampires. I ask Cerberus to call a meeting of the vampire nations from around the world. I think they should judge him and they should vote in a new king. We will take Valentino to the meeting and let the vamps deal with him.
The fighting is very minimal because all of the vampires just want out from under the vampire King's rule. Everyone just wants to start with a new ruler but not his son. They are all against Valentino Ferez and the Ferez family.
I wouldn't have to worry about the Ferez family again because the vampires and Cerberus were going to take him out. We lead him in chains out of the office as his employees line the halls, clapping and cheering for our success. Clem and I look at each other with a question on our mind..."What have you done to deserve this Valentino?", I ask.
"I have done nothing other than rule as my father taught me.", His only answer. We continue out with guards dropping weapons at our feet and some even guarding our way. His father was evil and this son of his took up his black reign. However he wasn't successful in obtaining the crown.
We meet Cerberus in the biggest human area, Barcelona. This port could bring ships from around the world and no one would question it. If the vampires don't stop to feast, which has been denied by Cerberus. I only hope that these humans can remain calm and safe.
We are still ready to fight, in human, wolf, or hybrid form. Our hybrid form melded with the watchers is something to behold. I am glad to have peace but I'm not afraid to fight. I link my mate, "Clem, after this is over I hope the Moon Goddess grants your heat. I want to be a father so bad. I want to see you as a mom. You will be incredibly good at it."
"I hope we both are good partners, mates, and parents. I know that you have a desire to fight as do I. I think it will be a good bonding for us as a family to fight for our family, pack, country and for all wolves. You will be excellent as a father, please don't worry my love. ", Clem calms me instantly.
As the Vampire Kings start arriving the wolves all stand behind Cerberus. Clem is to my right and Cerberus to my left. The Auditorium is huge holding over 15 thousand. Each country is represented and has a point of few. Cerberus barks, 3 times to gain quiet. He looks to me, then to the vampires.
"Bring in the prisoner.", he announces. Valentino is brought into the arena, in the same magic chains we used to capture him. He doesn't look up, he can feel the power and hate radiating from the crowd. Hanging his head he looks defeated but I can feel his rebellion mounting. He still feels like he can win. He has to be holding a trump card up his sleeve.
I can't imagine what his sick mind could be thinking but I want to cover all the bases. I ask Kuro to investigate for me. I just want to be sure. My father returned the Queen's crown to her followers, so it's not the crown. My mom gave her ring back to her widower. Cerberus has her soul in hell. So what does this idiot think he has?
Cerberus states his crimes. Then he calls for the elders. Dracula steps into the arena with several other well known vampires. His lover Lucy stands by his side, while Van Helsing, Seward, Magnus, LeStat, and Marius take a seat at the table. Dracula speaks first, "Look at me boy!" Valentino looks up with a smirk. "You dare to smirk at me, your elder? You think because you or your father had a deal with the elders that gets you off the hook? Looks like you didn't read the revoke portion of the agreement."
Lucy starts to read, "The aforementioned agreement between the elders and the current vampire King 'Lucifer of the Magnus Clan', with his sole heir Valentino Ferez, son of the Queen Valentina from Japan will be null and void if Lucifer, Valentina or Valentino cause a dispute between species."
"Thus when Valentina declared war against the wolves of Japan this contract was void. She lost her battle fairly against the Royal King Michael of the werewolves. Then when her mate decided against the Moon Goddesses approval to take Anastasia the Royal princess of the werewolves to mate against her will, Lucifer also made the contract void. He too lost his battle fairly against her children and was banished to Mars to die.", Van Helsing declares.
"So, for you to think causing the Giant King, his people, the Trolls and Ogres to battle with the Australian clans and covens as just, you are very mistaken. ", Dracula states. "For your crimes you will be executed at dawn.", Marius says with authority. "Now, the reason you all have been invited to attend is because I, Cerberus, Guardian of the gates of hell have decided to choose a new King of Vampires."
"As the witnesses of elders are here to watch over the proceedings you are only allowed to vote for the Royals who can trace back to the first vampire, Dracula. This rule will remain intact as usual.", Lucy sits at the head of the table as she finishes.
Dracula remains standing as his veins turn red. Then the kings with his bloodline stand and come forward. They too have red veins. "Please state your country as you stand on stage. Only seven of you will qualify. We will vote by location not name. This will seal your fate based on your country's history.", Cerberus adds.
"Romania", a man states. Next, "Iceland", a woman speaks up. Then, "Ghana", "Germany", "Croatia", "Albania", men all come forward. Lastly a very small girl joins, "India". The crowd is very surprised to see 2 females. Cerberus then explains, "The next monarch may be a woman as her blood is the only requirement needed."
"You must look at each country and decide what direction you want to support. These Royals have been extremely active. Both good and evil have been represented here. We will give our vote as elders as well.", Dracula begins. Lucy votes first, "India". Seward is next, "Iceland". LeStat, "Croatia". Magnus, "India". Marius, "India". Dracula, "Croatia". Cerberus, "Croatia"
"Now that the elders have voted you will drop a gold coin in the mug of your vote. If two obtain the same amount of votes we will have a run off after we gain the names and backgrounds of the two we shall vote on. Good luck to you all.", Cerberus bows.
The votes of 15 thousand vampires takes very little time surprisingly. After only a half-hour Cerberus is ready to count while they watch. He empties out the container of Romania first. "1493 votes for Romania.", he moves on to Iceland. "2067 votes for Iceland."
"1513 votes for Ghana.", then, "904 votes for Germany. Albiania has 3210 votes." Moving on to India, "4680 votes for India." lastly "831 votes for Croatia. With the total of 14,698 votes counted. If you did not vote you are now not allowed to vote. The winner is India.", Cerberus announces.
"Please take a seat if you were not voted to the position of Royal Monarch. Your Highness, please tell us your name, age when you became a vampire and a little bit about your rule in India.", Dracula demands. "My name is Durga of the clan Nepal. I have been worshipped as a Goddess for all my life. I was 19 when I was taken by Dracula (She bows her head towards Dracula in respect), I have tried to lead my people with kindness and have only fed when the person was willing. I have never turned anyone unless they requested me to do so. I vow to continue this rule in my new position. I will never allow clans to rule my people with a hard hand. If this is your habit you will face me and the elders. Thank you for believing in me.", the beautiful young woman finishes speaking before Cerberus and Dracula step over to crown her.
After the crown is placed on her head she becomes stronger than 10 vampires and only the elders hold more power. Cerberus grabs Valentino and disappears to hell. "Thank you for having us at your coronation your highness but we must return to Australia.", Russell speaks. "Yes of course, thank you for ending the rule of a tyrant", Durga says to us as we bow and leave.
The elders dismisses the vampires and soon Barcelona is human again. Durga makes several new rules bringing about peace with the werewolves. As we return home exhausted we first shower before climbing into our bed. I hold Clem as we sleep. First thing in the morning I notice Clem shiver. "Are you cold love?", I ask. "No, I just feel we have another mission about to begin and I'm not sure we are ready for it.", she answers truthfully.
Cerberus comes to the balcony of our room and knocks for entry. I walk over to open the door. "Russell, Clementine, I am in need of your help. You did such a good job ending the vicious reign of the vampires that I would like to ask you to bring back a former guest of mine. I know you aren't monster hunters officially or bounty hunters. I just trust you to do the right thing and bring justice for all of us creatures."
"Whom are we bringing to justice?", I ask. Clementine is watching us as we talk. She looks as if she knows the answer to my question. "Hydra", she states. I can't believe what I have just heard. "The Hydra?", I ask him. "I'm afraid so. Typhon is her father and she has been in hell all this time. She slipped out while I was away from my post. You don't have to kill her again. she is dead. I just need her location. As soon as you get a location just let me know and I will pull her back.", Cerberus adds.
"She will be hard to locate, why ask us?", Clem asked. "I know that you have watchers and they can help. If you can bring her to justice before she kills it would be great.", he states. I feel responsible for her escape and don't want any unnecessary death. ", Cerberus looks down. "Let us discuss this.", I request.
