"What do you mean by that, My Lord?" Karveshe asked, "The murder was committed by one of us?"
Zekhyr just nodded, running his fingers through his hair as he was frustrated. He started pacing back and forth, totally agitated at what was happening.
Karveshe, who was in the know of Zekhyr's tendencies, readily nodded his head. He then turned towards the officers prior to explaining the matter.
"Everyone, we'll do as our Master said. I'll be taking charge of the investigation. Are there any objections?"
Of course, no one would contest against Karveshe. If it wasn't about beasts going into heat all of a sudden, he would do a phenomenal job in coming up with a resolution.
Although Zekhyr was present, he wouldn't be proactive in taking part in the investigation. Karveshe was there for a reason. Zekhyr would only be overseeing the process and move if he wished to do so.
