LiangLin shot up from his seat as Feng MuLing stumbled forward, his hair dishevelled, robes covered in droplets of crimson. Curious glances were shot his way from the nearby spectators and Tao hurried to pull the snake god down before he gathered attention from the Council below.
"Boss, please don't cause a scene," Tao mewled, clinging to LiangLin's arm to keep him still. If LiangLin caused a scene now, it would only bring trouble to all of them.
"But it's Feng MuLing," LiangLin hissed, his eyes wide as his attention fell on the already cool corpse of a nameless man. Why was MuLing in shackless? Why-
"So this is why he didn't want you here," Uncle Hua muttered, his fingers slid over his beard, brows knitted thoughtfully. "Indeed, this is not a good impression to make on a newly wedded spouse. My bad for bringing you."
