In a bright and beautiful morning,in a village named Rigurd Village.A place where people live in harmony. At a place where there is a big leafless tree,there is a 14 year old-boy with black hair named Katsuki Nishimura is trying to chop off the big three with a hatchet.
While he is chopping the three,two kids about the same age as Katsuki are waliking in a path to the tree. One of them is a boy with reddish brown hair named Roy and the other one isa dark blue haired girl holding a basket named Alyssa.They are siblings.Both them are friends of Katsuki.
When they arrive at the tree,they see Katsuki hit the tree with absolute force.He pants lightly. Only a little amount of the tree width is cut.
"Katsuki."called Alyssa."Let's have lunch," invited Alyssa.
Katsuki glances at them and says"Sure,why not,"while smiling.
They sit down and eat the sandwiches that they brought. Katsuki eats a sandwich and have a satisfying face due to the deliciousness of the sandwich.
"Fuh.....Your mother's cooking never fail to satisfy me.It's so good."said Katsuki.
"You're full with comments as always,"said Roy while smiling.
"So,Katsuki.Did you get any progress?,"asked Alyssa.
"I don't think so,"replied Katsuki while looking at the tree with depression.
"Well,it is a cursed tree after all.It's been here for hundreds of years,"said Alyssa.
"You really don't need to do this you know." said Roy worriedly.
"I appreciate it but,I feel bad for me, an outsider staying in a village for free.Besides that, this is absorbing the nutrients of the village's land.So,it be hard for them to farm with this around,"said Katsuki.
"You are right about that,but....,"said Roy.
"You should not force yourself,"continued Alyssa.
"Don't worry,I'm fine. Beside, it good for training your strength."said Katsuki."I guess I should start hitting it again,".Katsuki grab the hatchet and start to hit it again.Roy and Alyssa just watch and sigh of the sight of how positive Katsuki is.
When night falls,they return back to Roy and Alyssa's house. Katsuki live with them because he has nowhere to stay.Roy and Alyssa's mother,Natasha is making dinner for tonight.While Katsuki is playing with Roy and Alyssa's little brother Steven.
Suddenly,Natasha says "Oh no,"at the kitchen.The two siblings go to the kitchen to see what's wrong.
"What' wrong,mom?,"asked Alyssa.
"Well,you see.The chicken got rotten again,"replied Natasha. Alyssa and Roy feel dissapointed.
"What's wrong?,"asked Katsuki suddenly from behind with Steven.Both of them got startled.
"Umm...Well,you see...The chicken got rotten again,"said Roy in a disappointed tone.
"Again?"said Katsuki.
"Yeah" said Roy while sighing in disappointment.
"But still,I wish there is a way to make the food last longer.Raw food is expensive,"said Natasha.
"Yeah you're right mom,"said Alyssa. "If there's an 'Art' that can slow down the process of rottening in a food,"
"Or ice," said Roy while looking at Katsuki. Katsuki sigh by their action.
"Let's got to Mt. Frost," suggested Katsuki. Alyssa is surprised by Katsuki suggestion.
"Wait a minute," exclaimed Alyssa."Mt. Frost is close to the Dark Territory and I heard there was sighting about a group monsters at there. There is a chance we will fight the-,"
"That why we're going," exclaimed Katsuki. Alyssa look at him confusedly."You guys still don't have any experience in fighting monsters and traveling. So, this will be a good opportunity to increase your combat capability. Especially, you" while pointing at Alyssa.
"Huh? Me?" exclaimed Alyssa confusedly. Katsuki nodded."You have really les experience in fighting.You have a weak body not to mention you height. Your endurance and strength are extremely low.Your Art power and control is so bad. And your combat capability is worse,"All of Katsuki's word is pierce through her like a knife. Alyssa shot Katsuki with a pathetic look.
"You don't need to be that mean," said while sadly.Katsuki sighs by her reaction.
"Well, at least you have an inhumane eye sight and reflexes ,"said Katsuki. Alyssa eyes instantly glimmer with joy. Katsuki sigh by her action.
"I still feel disappointed on you,"said Katsuki. Alyssa expression instantly change."You unable to see the advantage of the idea. Not only that, it feels like you never think to fight monsters at all. Roy eyes was glimmering with joy when I said we're going to Mt. Frost,"Alyssa shot her sight to Roy.
"You noticed," said Roy while scratching his cheek in embarrassment. Katsuki look at Natasha.
"May I ask you the permission to take your children out," asked Katsuki while bowing. Natasha chuckle.
"You like asking me permission to take them to a date," exclaimed Natasha.
"You can said it like that," replied Katsuki with a smile.Natasha sigh while smiling.
"Just go,I trust you will protect them," replied Natasha.Katsuki smiles by Katsuki reply
"Okay,then tomorrow early in the morning we will go,"said Katsuki."So, sleep early tonight,okay,"while glaring at Alyssa. Alyssa got stiffen by the glare."Okay,"said Alyssa nervously.
KATSUKI NISHIMURA POV:
I open my eyes slowly as I woke up from my sleep. I look at the clock hanging to the wall and it was 5.00 a.m. I was about to go sleep back. Then, I realize today we are going to Mt. Frost. I sigh and lazily get out of my bed and wash myself.
After that, I go wake them up. Roy and Mrs. Natasha were easy to wake up. I just knock their door and they instantly wake up. Then, I go to Alyssa's room. I knock her door but I didn't hear any respond. I knock her door repeatedly but I still didn't hear any respond.
I sigh to think I need to go into her room to wake her once again. I never able to wake her without feeling nervous to enter in her room. It's still a girl's room. I work up my courage and enter her room. Her room has a slight yellow light from her lamp. I thought it was a waste of electricity while shaking my head.
It always been like this when I woke her up. I sigh and see Alyssa sleeping while facing to the right. Her face look flushed. She looks so adorable like a kitten sleeping. She also has a good physique eventhough is unsuitable for battle. I snap out from my nasty thought while slapping my two cheeks with both of my hang.
Then, I try to wake her up by shaking her from the back. I feel embarrassed upon having contact with her exposed body. Especially when she is defenceless. I shake her by she didn't wake up. I shake her with double the force but still no respond. I try to wake her up with the same action several times but she just won't budge. I grew really impatient and completely forgot about what I just thought about her and splash water at her face with a bucket.
She was really surprised. She was about to complained but I hit her head with the bucket and shot her with a eerie glare and a sadistic smile. She got scared and quickly go wash herself. I sigh of her action.
Then, I go prepare some equipments to collect the ice and bring some medical items just in case if something goes wrong.
After a few minutes, we were finally ready to go. Mrs. Natasha follow us until to the path that lead to Mt. Frost.
"Be careful okay,"Mrs. Natasha said worriedly."Don't do anything to reckless,"I shot her with a smile.
"Don't worry Mrs. Natasha. I promised that they will be safe," I ensure her. Mrs. Natasha smile and nodded.
After that, we go to Mt. Frost. It takes 1 hour to arrive there by foot. Then, I give their coats before going to the mountain. We spend some time climb it and find any cave to go in. After a short time of searching, I heard a voice.
"Katsuki," Alyssa groaned while panting. "Can we stop for a sec. I'm tired,"I shot a look of annoyance. Alyssa notice it."Don't make that face," I sigh in frustration.
"Fine, we stop to rest but only for a short time," I said in consideration to the girl. Alyssa glimmer with joy.
"Thank you," she exclaimed happily. We stop and let Alyssa breathe properly.
After a few minutes, we continue our search for the cave. I try sensing any sound of the wind in the mountain to find it. After a few minues of sensing, I finally found the cave. It was cover under the snow so it was hard to find it. We were about to go in but Alyssa stop me by grabbing my coat at the back,shaking. I was surprised by her action.
"What's wrong,Alyssa?" I asked worriedly.
"The cave is too dark. I can't see any light source," said Alyssa while still shaking.
"oh, I forgot. Alyssa scared of the dark," Roy said worriedly. I never knew. I've been with her for such a long but I never realize. No wonder the lamp is on. I was such an idiot. Why didn't I something a obvious as that. Her eyes might even increase the dark even more. I sigh by my lack of understanding them.
ALYSSA POV:
I'm scared. I have been always scare of the dark. Katsuki might look at me as pathetic girl. With the insult he just said last night. And then now. He obviously thinks me as useless girl that do nothing whining.
Suddenly, Katsuki release my hand from his coat and hold it. I was surprised by Katsuki action. Never in my dreams that Katsuki will hold my hand.
"Are you okay with this?" Katsuki asks.
"Huh?" I replied confusedly while feeling embarrass.
"Are you okay going in the cave while holding my hand? I promise you that nothing will happen to you in dark. Okay," Katsuki said with a smile.
"Okay," I replied while still feel embarrassed.
So, we walk in the cave with my hand getting held by Katsuki. His hand was rough and warm. My face feels like burning up eventhough we are at a mountain of snow. I completely forgot my fear of the dark and just thinking how embarrassed it is to be held hands.
Katsuki always been strict. A few months ago, I ask him to train me because I can use Art. A power to manipulate, enhance and amplify any sort of element or anything. I don't want my power to be left in the dust as it was never exist. I want to use it to protect people. In fact, I actually intrested in combat. I might not be talented but I want to be strong so I won't be useless to anybody.After a few minutes, my eyes caught a faint of light source.
"I see light," I said happily and excitedly.
"Where?" Katsuki said in confusion.
My eyes have been always have incredible vision range and eye sight. And that's make my reflexes incredible scary. That's what Katsuki said. Katsuki said that the reason eyes can make us see because of light. The light will go through our eyes and then send impulse to our brain to interpret it. The impulse is the information that have what light it is. Or we can say the image that the light show us. So, when it interpret the info, the brain will make us able to see the image. In conclusion, my eyes is sensitive to light. That's why I can see the light source from far and not them.I sigh and pull Katsuki hand.
"Let me show you,then," I said while pulling Katsuki hand to lead them to the light. The closer we get into the light the more I can see. The light is actually glowing light blue. They also began to see the light.
After that we arrive, to light. I was awed by the view I saw. We arrive at a wide place of glowing ice. There was a big tree of ice in the middle of the place. I also see another path of the cave at the far back of the place.
'It's majestic," Katsuki said in awed by the view. Katsuki expression looks like he enjoyed the view very much. I smile happily by Katsuki happy expression. I release his hand while feeling a little embarrassed and go to the ice to observe it. I want to know why it is glowing. I observe the ice and notice the reason of it. I was surprised by the cause of it.
"Do you know the reason they glow,Alyssa?" My brother asked me. He always know what I'm thinking eventhough I hide my expression sometimes.
"The ice-,"I said. "Have Chakra in it,"
Roy is surprised by this. It is because Chakra is one of the spiritual energy that we have within us. That's how I can use Art. My Chakra is a medium for me to use my Art power. Without it, I can't use my Art at all. But, I don't know about anyone else. There might be someone that can use Art without Chakra. That's what Katsuki said. But, he insist is to not learn that kind of technique just yet.
"I see," Katsuki said while nodding with is his fist at his chin. He didn't look surprised at all. He must had seen this type of phenomena. "This actually good," while smiling.I was confused by Katsuki words. I try thinking and I just realize something.
"Katsuki," I called him. "Does the Chakra in the ice make them can't be melt,"Katsuki smile at me.
"Bingo," He replied. Bingo? Well, whatever. But I was still confused. When you use Elemental type Art, to manipulate, amplify and enhance the element, you must use Chakra as an energy for the Art to manifest. Same with ice. To make it not melt, you must use chakra as fuel to make it last longer. But the chakra in the ice doesn't function like that at all. It feels like the the Chakra's function in the ice is to make it stronger rather than make it not melt. I wonder why.
"I know what are you both thinking," Katsuki exclaimed. I look at my brother and it seems he was thinking the same thing as I was. "This phenomena works as same as using Art without using chakra. I will explain in a later. For now, we collect the ice,"
I nodded in agreement. That's why we here for. Katsuki give us both pickaxes and containers. We start collecting them when suddenly I feel some kind of presence. It feels like something is coming from the other cave path. I look at Katsuki to warn him but he already notice them. He was smirking. I sigh by his reaction. This what Katsuki real objective from the start. Katsuki look at both of us and say
"I let you handle our guests, okay,". Both of us just nodded.
Suddenly, I saw a spear was heading toward us from the other cave with incredible speed. I try to stop it but my mind suddenly become blank. The spear was getting closer. I heard Katsuki sighs and then he catch the spear. I saw that Katsuki push the spear upward at the spear's stick and hold it. He do it with less effort. Then, I heard Katsuki sighs again.
"Your reactions are slow," Katsuki exclaimed. I feel disappointed of myself. I can stop it but my mind and body just suddenly lose their function. So, this is what Katsuki meant of fighting to the death. I never think about death when I train with Katsuki. This is new for me. I see Katsuki give the spear to my brother and whisper something to him. I switch my attention to the attackers.
There was a lot of monsters with swords and spears. Their skin was green coloured and their ears were pointy. I think they are called goblins. One of them is bigger version of them with bulky physique. I think they called hobgoblin. It the evolved version of the goblins. The hobgoblin was doing a stance of throwing a spear. That means he is the one that threw the spear. Then, it suddenly smirk and spoke.
"Impressive,kid. I didn't expect you to catch it," the hobgoblin said. "But luck has their limit you know," It continued. It seems that he thought that Katsuki caught the spear was a fluke. I was annoyed by it's arrogance.
"My name is Gobza. I am the leader of these goblins," it's said as all the goblin roared. "As you can see, it's futile to against us. So, rather than opposed us. How about you lead us to a village. I might spare you guys if you do it. How about it? Do we have an agreemen-," before he was able to finish his words, a spear was thrown back to them with incredible speed. There was a little cut at the hobgoblin left cheek and the goblins behind him got pierced through. The spear was glowing yellow. Roy is the one that throw the spear. The hobgoblin twitched in anger."You," it exclaimed in anger.Katsuki smirks at them.
"What's wrong? We just return what yours. And for your deal," Katsuki said gleeful expression."Why should I strike a deal with someone as hideous as yourself," while giving a sharp look at them."You should be grateful to even hear my voice. This show how much mercy I'm giving you guys. Or not," He continue taunting them."All your heads will be on the ground already," while giving a really sinister and eerie smile.
The hobgoblin at was it's anger point. It unsheathed his giant sword and emit a really amazing pressure. At first it was scary, but then I just realize. The pressure he emit, can't even compare the pressure Katsuki emit when he was training us. A pressure that has no bloodlust to top all that. The gap between them was like the earth with the moon.
ROY POV:
Dammit, I missed Katsuki entrusted me to kill the hobgoblin but I failed. I even used my Ki to increased the power and speed of the throw. Ki is also one of the spiritual energy we have. Unlike Chakra, Ki can't manipulate anything but can continuously enhance your physical and combat prowess the more you train with it. Make your self-growth in training your physical body much more faster. And it can enhance the the power,speed and durability of weapons. Just what I did with the spear. I enhance it power and speed to to destroy his head but I failed.
"I'm sorry Katsuki," I apologised.
"You don't need to say sorry. You never were good with long distance attack. So, I expected this," Katsuki comforted me. I nodded from his comfort.
"My minions, attack!" Gobza cried. All the goblins rush to us with their weapons. I got into my stance to fight.
"I let you both take care of them," Katsuki said to me and my sister. Both of us nodded.
I channel my Ki and strengthen my body. I rush towards them and punch a goblin's face. Then, I sense a goblin about to attack me from behind. I look behind and about to stop it. Suddenly, a spear was thrown towards my head. I barely avoid.
The spear hit the goblin that was about attack me. The goblin that throw the spear is the one I just punch. And then the goblin in front me was about to slash me with it sword. I sidestep to the right to avoid it. And then a spear was about to pierce my head from my left I move my head back and see that the the spear is from goblin that got killed. It was use by another goblin. Then, I feel a blade is heading toward my head. I duck to avoid and see that the goblin I punch is the one swinging the blade.
That's when I realize if I hesitate to kill, I be killed. I can't let my soft side control me in battle. I channel my Ki even more and enhace my fist. And then punch the three goblins that attack me in an instant. The body got destroys to smithereens having contact with my fist. I then continue my assault and annihilate the goblins with one punch. Some other goblins was already dead. Their head were completely destroyed and some of them got pierce by a spike of rock from the ground.
It was Alyssa's Art. He can manipulate earth and water. She still have little control of it but she make up for it with her incredible eyes. She somehow can use range attack with great accuracy despite her lack of control. I wonder what a monster will she be in the future when he gain control of it.
I stop my assault and then I touch the ground. And there's a lot of spike rise from the ground around. It was my ability. I can use Earth Art. Eventhough I am more compatible with Ki, I somehow can manipulate, amplify and enhance earth. I can even generated it without it come out from the ground. Even Katsuki said he don't know why. But he said to also train this power because my control over earth is more incredible that Alyssa.
I generate earth from my hand and form it to a gauntlet. Then, I enhance it with Ki and tried to punch a goblin. It create a powerful shockwave cause it do completely destroy the body completely and along with the other goblins behind it. I smile in satisfaction on my attempt to increase my punching power.
I punch to the ground and creates a massive shockwave to the ground make it destroyed and also make them get killed due to the ground's giant rocks buried and crushed them. I exhale my breathe and make stance to continue my assault.
GOBZA POV:
I was surprised by the raw power of that two kids. The reddish brown hair boy was pummeling my minions to pieces and the dark blue haired girl is killing my minions like an archer kill their prey. But it seems black haired boy that taunted me is a coward since he ask his friend to fight for him. I try to look for him but he was nowhere to be found. I suddenly grew nervous. I try to search for him harder and carefully.
"Are you looking for me," when I heard a familiar voice behind me, monster instinct instantly scream to run away."How disgusting," insult him. "Not only that, you thought I was scared to fight you," I was surprised that he know what was I thinking. Then, I feel that his face is getting closer to my right ear. "You should know the gravity between us. You are only an insect for me,"
I twitched in anger and swing my sword to cut him. But, he disappeared. "Too slow," he said from behind. Suddenly, my right thighs, my left biceps, my right wrist, my left calf, two of my ankle and my jaw was suddenly got cut. I bend down due to my legs gotten weaker from the cut while blood is coming out from my mouth. It seems my tongue was cut too.
"Why are you down there? Did you drop your ring or something," he said while looking down to me with his nasty eyes. Suddenly, he puts his foot on my head. "Hey, do you think an insect like you can just look at me and thinks my eyes are nasty," I was again surprised by how he read my mind. "Why aren't you answering. Oh I forgot," he said while suddenly his expression change. He was smiling with a sinister expression. It was like I'm seeing the devil itself. "Insect doesn't doesn't talk,"
I try to surprise attack him with a slash. But, suddenly my sword and my fingers drop to the ground. My fingers was cut off. I shriek in pain. He stared at me and he was holding a black dagger. He was looking at me with disgust. I was angry and take my sword using my left hand and try to slash him.
Then, I feel my gut got slashed. I cough some blood. And then, he kick at where my gut got slashed. The kick send me flying to the wall. The wall is destroyed. I was coughing more of my blood. He walk towards me slowly while shooting me with a glare. But, instead of pity and disgust. It was sympathy.
I was reaching my angry point. My blood was boiling hot. I feel my body undergoing something that I felt before. My body was glowing and my body was getting stronger. My injuries got healed and my body getting bulkier. I remember this sensation. I was evolving once more. I evolve from hobgoblin to goblin champion. I feel power flowing through my body.
I felt confident. The boy face was surprised by my transformation. Same with the two kids. My minions all cheer me. I grin in confidence. I take my sword and unleash a flurry of downwards slash to him. It create a smokescreen from hitting the ground. When the smokescreen clear, nothing happen to the boy. I was surprised by this. I look closely to him and see that there is some blue lightning particle around him.
"I felt sorry for you," he said while shaking his head in sympathy. "You eyes must be glimmering with joy when you evolve since you make a confident grin. To think I will shattered that hope of yours. What a pity,"
I was angry and use an Art of the sword while shouting 'Merciless'. One downward slash with all you got while emitting a powerful pressure and bloodlust. I feel a sensation that I hit him. It creates a lot of smokescreen. When the smokescreen clears, he stop my sword by holding the the sword with his left hand barehanded. This time I see a slight yellow lightning particle. I felt so nervous at that moment.
"Oh, that sword art is actually good. It seems you are not an insect at all. Maybe I copy it. But I want to change the name," he said without being serious at all.
"Stop toying with me you bastard," I cried while i was about to attack.
But, he punch my gut and sent me flying to the same destroyed wall. The pain at my stomach was so painful it fells like my inside is coming out. I was angry. I was about to continue attack again. But, suddenly my body stop. I look at that boy and he was emitting an aura I never felt before.
He holding his dagger upwards. I never felt something like this. "Nishimura Sword Style," he said. The air around the dagger around the was vibrating like crazy. Then, I realize what is the feeling the aura he emitting is. It was death. "No Mercy," he said while swing his dagger towards me. It creates a shockwave slash towards me. It was at this moment that I knew, I fucked up.
Katsuki Nishimura:
After killing the hobgoblin by cutting it body to half, I felt sorry for him. I kill him with the most pitiful way possible. I sigh in frustration. I'm also thankful to him for giving me a new idea for a new sword technique. I wish I can give him a more honourable death. I look around me and saw the remaining goblin were terrified of me. They try to run away to the path where they come from.
"Roy, block the path," I ordered him. He nodded and immediately block the path with his unique Earth Art ability. The goblins has nowhere to run. I can feel it. Their anxiety. It was a habit I developed. I just can know what people thinking by looking at their expression. I didn't know Alyssa fear of dark because I thought I didn't need to learn about it.
"Roy, trap them," I ordered him again. He obediently follow and trap them in a cocoon of stone. They struggled to come out. They were crying to spare them. I just look at them with disgust. Just thinking how many people beg for their lives but they toyed them as they were nothing. By looking at their physique, they must still be kids. I look at Alyssa and saw her still behing us staring to the goblin corpse.
"Alyssa come here," I said. Alyssa look at me and come here immediately. "What is it?" Alyssa asked me. I point to the trapped goblins and said "Kill them," Her expression instantly change. Alyssa look at the goblins and I can see an expression of sympathy and hesitation. That confirmed my suspicion. Alyssa was still hesitating to kill. I knew it she is not cut it to kill. But she still insist to be stronger. So, no matter what. I will train her to be stronger. "Why are you not killing them?" She look at me. "
Katsuki, they are children," she exclaimed.
"They are still monsters," I replied bluntly.
"Eventhough they are monsters, they are still kids," she argued back.
"Eventhough they are kids, they kill people," I argued back. She stun for a minute. "Now just kill them already,"
She walk torwards them. She stared at them closely. The goblins beg at Alysssa to spared them. Alyssa finally decide what to do and face us. Letting her back exposed and defenceless. At that moment, that's when I saw the goblin's smile.
"That's it Katsuki. I'm not gonna obey all your order just because you train me," she exclaimed. Right at that moment, one of the goblin escape from the cocoon grasp and try to attack Alyssa with their sword. "Alyssa look out," Roy exclaimed worriedly. She looks behind and have a step behind but suddenly she trip over. The goblins jump to her with their sword to attack her. She paralyze and did nothing in that moment. I just sigh.
Then, the goblins was cut to smithereens. Some blood spills to her left cheek. I cut the goblin to smithereens in instant with my dagger. The goblins was terrified from the seen.
"Alyssa," I called her. "No matter who you fight. Even humans. You must not let yourself vulnerable to them. Like your hesitation. You can feel sympathy to them but you cannot hesitate to kill. That will cost your life. And never let your guard down. Eventhough they are trapped, that doesn't mean their are not a threat. Remember that, okay," I advised her.
"Okay," she muttered sadly. I can't blame her. Is normal for people to hesitate at that moment for someone as kind as Alyssa. I actually glad she is like this because some people might torture them before they kill. Eventhough I feel disgusted of monsters but I never accept torture as a way to kill. Same as torture for information. I always hate torture. I sigh.
"It seems you are not ready yet," I said. "Don't worry Alyssa, you don't need to do it if you not read-," before I can finish, Alyssa answered back.
"No," she said. " Let me handle it," I look at her and nodded. She stand up and got toward the goblin. She raise her hand upwards and a lot of ball of water generated around her. The goblin cried harder for her to spare their life. She hand was shaking and the water were out of control. She was still hesitating.
"Alyssa," I called her. "Calm your mind,". She nodded and take some deep breathe while closing her eyes. The goblins took advantage of this. One of them broke free and try to attack her with it's spear. Roy was about to stop the goblin but I stop him. He look at me confusedly. "Trust your sister," I ensured him. The goblin spear about to pierce through but suddenly the spear bounced back. The goblin was surprised and then it's head got decapitated clean from its body.
It was from the water. The water coil around her majestically. The goblin was terrified and cried to spare their life once more. Alyssa ignored them. She opens her eyes and was in a state of calmness. The water around her begin to swirl around her intensely.
Suddenly, they are blue runes appear on her body. It happen again. It happened before in the past. The goblin were scared shitless. Alyssa clutches her rising hand and all the goblin's head got severed cleanly. After that, the water begin to calm down and the runes disappeared.
The runes appeared rarely. Everytime it appeared, the power and control of her art increase massively. I might know why but it's still not confirmed yet. But, right now i'm only glad that Alyssa take the step further. This will be a good experience for her. I hope she can become stronger in the near future.
ALYSSA POV:
I'm finally to able to kill them. I am such an idiot. I should have listen to him. I should not have argue with him. He always know what best for everybody. I should have not doubt Katsuki's judgement. He must hated me for not listening. I'm such an idiot.
"Hey, Roy," Katsuki called. "When trapping someone, don't trap them with their weapon and disable their ability to move while you at it," Katsuki advised my brother. "Alyssa almost got killed. What if that happen to you. Instead of goblin, what happened if it's not a goblin but a really strong monster or human. Not only that, what if the monster evolve. You should consider to think any kind of thing to happen in a battle. You got that," he continued to advised him.
"Okay, geez. You don't need to compained that much," my brother replied while looking upset. I was about to laugh but I don't have any right too. I didn't considered the goblins to only acted as they want to live and turned into a new leaf. We were still inexperienced. We are powerless against people out there. There must been people as strong as Katsuki or stronger than him. Katsuki can't keep protecting us forever. I need to become stronger.
"Okay guys," Katsuki spoke. "Lets continue collecting ice,". I almost forgot that our main objective is to collect ice. But, for Katsuki. Is most likely train us. I nodded to him as an agreement to continue. I hate myself for not listening Katsuki order. I regret it. I was so useless to him but he kind enough to still train me. I hate myself for being like this.I pick the pickaxe and was about to go collect the ice.
"Alyssa," Katsuki called me. I instantly feel nervous and try to calm myself. I face him.
"What is it-" Katsuki interrupted me by putting his hand at my left side of my face with a tissue. I was surprised.
"There's blood at your face. You should wipe it. Or not it will ruin your cute face," he declared. Cute? She thinks me cute. Am I dreaming? Katsuki called me cute. There's no way I'm cute since i'm useless.
"What are you talking about? I'm not cute at all. I'm just a useless girl," I declared. Then, Katsuki look upset by my declaration.
"Alyssa, you are not useless," Katsuki exclaimed. "What you just did is normal. So, don't hate yourself. Never hate yourself for what you are. You must accept your mistakes with pride. There's no such thing as perfection in this world. So, don't be ashamed of yourself. There's people more useless than you out here,". That last sentence pierce my heart emotionally. I look at Katsuki and he was staring at me with a smile while wiping my face. "So, don't insult yourself because for me you are always cute since the day we met,"
Then, he stop wiping my face and continue collecting. I was internally screaming with happiness. I never thought being called cute will make me this happy. I've been called cute many times before. But, I never feel something like this. My heart feel warm and fuzzy for some reason. What is this feeling?
I snapped out of my thought and continued collecting the ice. After all the containers were full, we return back to the village as quickly as possible while bringing Gobza's sword. Katsuki insist of bringing it for some reason.
We arrive home in around 12 o' clock. Then, Katsuki ask us to help him make 'something'. We gather some wood and help him we this 'something' he want to make. First, we make a wooden cuboid as tall as a man average height with space in it and there is a door on it. Then, we put the ice around the vacant space in the wooden cuboid. After some adjustment, we finish the 'something'. Katsuki called it the refrigerator. It's some kind of storage to put food to make it stay longer. Everybody was tired and have a little rest. I was very tired. I instantly fell asleep the moment I close my eyes.

I was sleeping peacefully. Then, I heard a door opening noise. I wake up and see Katsuki was about to go out with the Gobza's sword.
"Katsuki?" I called him. Katsuki look at me with surprised.
"Oh, sorry. Did I wake you up?" he replied while scratching his head.
"Where are you going?" I asked while rubbing my eye.
"I was about to go to the cursed tree," he exclaimed. I was surprised by this. He always keep his routine to chop the tree even a little. I was amazed by his self-discipline. I want to stop him to rest but I know he will still go anyway. I sigh. "Alyssa, do you want to come?"
I was surprised. I didn't expect him to invite me personally. My eyes glimmer with happiness. "Sure," I replied happily and quickly stand up. I ready myself and walk with Katsuki to the cursed tree. I was feeling unusually happy for some reason. I feel like my heart is beating really fast. What is this feeling? Then, we arrived at the cursed tree without me noticing.
I just notice that the sun is about to set. I wonder why Katsuki decide to go now. I distance myself from Katsuki to give him room since he wants to use the giant sword to hit.
Suddenly, I feel a strong pressure from Katsuki. The pressure was really heavy but I can endure it. Katsuki usually train us while emitting this kind of pressure. No. The pressure emitting when Katsuki train us is way heavier than this. That's what I thought.
The pressure gotten stronger. Suddenly, blue and yellow lightning particle were coiling around him. The lightning particle is Katsuki's ability. The blue particle increased Katsuki's speed and the yellow particle increased Katsuki's strength. Katsuki make a stance and the giant sword and become blurry from the pressure.
"Nishimura Sword Style," he muttered slowly. In that instant, the pressure around increase frightening tremendously. It was so heavy. I was having trouble breathing. This pressure surpass Katsuki pressure from our training. But, it still doesn't defeat his true power's pressure.
Then, Katsuki swing his sword. At that moment everything feels like they are moving slowly. The swing slowly make it way to the cursed tree's chopped part. Then, I heard a voice from Katsuki. "Guillotine,"
ROY POV:
I was sleeping peacefully when a strong sensation of pressure woke me up. It took me in surprise. I recognize that pressure. It was Katsuki's. I quickly look around the living room and see that both Katsuki and Alyssa were not here. Then, I heard a commotion outside. So, I went out to see what's wrong. I see a lot of the villagers were outside staring at something in surprise while their mouth open wide. I was confused.
I look at the direction where they looking. My jaw dropped of the sight that I saw. I never thought it will happen. The cursed tree was falling. The invincible tree that do nothing than sucking our village's life force of nature for centuries has finally fallen down. I was so awed. The only person that can do that is only Katsuki. I quickly run to the cursed tree excitedly. I can't wait to see the fallen tree in front of my own eyes and learn how Katsuki able to do that.
ALYSSA POV:
Unbelievable. He chop it off with one slash. The slash not only that it cut through the cursed tree but it also cuts through a grove of forest behind it. The raw power of the slash is incredible. The giant sword was reduce to dust.
But, eventhough the slash was terrifyingly powerful. I still don't sense any kind of spiritual energy. I wonder why. But, I was more curious how Katsuki was able to pull that of now but not before. Then, my brother suddenly arrived here. He was panting heavily. He must been running with full speed since it's rare to see he pant this hard.
"Oh great, you're here. It make things easier," Katsuki exclaimed. "Now, it's time for me to explain how people can use moves without using any spiritual energy,"Both me and brother instantly become serious. Our attention was all focus on Katsuki. Katsuki notice the change of the atmosphere and chuckle. He clear his throat and look at us.
"There's a method called Vow," Katsuki said. Vow? What is that? Before I can ask, Katsuki answer my question. "Vow is a method to make your powers stronger, creates you own power or technique and add any kind effect to your power or moves. In addition, you must make rules to stabilize your power.You must follow your rules at all cost and it's impossible to break it. Even if you tried. It just do nothing.
For example, the chakra ice. This chakra ice's purpose is only to be powerful and durable. I can see the that the person create the power is bulky attacker. He can only generate the ice but He can't manipulate it. There is a lot of disadvantage with this power. He can't control the temperature and the cold wind. This makes him unable to freeze his opponent and it will be good thing to have for a bulky attacker. This power hasincredible low agility. The chakra make the ice rough so it will not make you slide. This makes him an easy target for someone with incredible agility and power. Because he make his power can't manipulate, it's easy for them to avoid. Plus, with the ice glowing. It make it easier to avoid it. His power is mediocre level,"
I feel sorry for someone who use this power because Katsuki bluntly insult it as it were nothing. I hope you don't regret what you did since if he not have this power. We might not have that incredible ice.
"And now for that slash that I did," Katsuki mentioned. Our focus instantly intensifies. Katsuki just smile at our action "That move is sword technique I create by myself called Guillotine. I vow that the power that I slash will create pressure around my sword and become continuously become stronger until the pressure it's strong enough to destroy the sword. The power is also doubled. But after I use it, the sword will instantly reduced itself to nothingness. The purpose of that move is for emergency or last resort,"
I see. No wonder it so strong. The pressure was from the vow. I can create my own power with this. What an incredible way to become stronger. Suddenly, Katsuki bend down. He look very exhausted.
"Katsuki!" My brother exclaimed in a worried tone while running towards him followed by me. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," he replied exhaustedly. "You see, my body will also feel the same pressure as the sword when I use," he said while laughing.
"Are you an idiot?" my brother exclaimed angrily. "Don't do something that reckless. What if you got reduced to dust along with sword too,"
My brother was right. Even after we use the Vow method. There no knowing what happen if we use recklessly. Your own move might be the one that takes your own life.
"Do you think i'm stupid to be killed by my own move," Katsuki said bluntly. "Of course not and that move is only for emergency. Is not like i'm spamming that move,"
"Spamming?" my brother mentioned curiously. What's spamming means? Katsuki sighs.
"It's nothing you idiot," Katsuki said while laughing. My brother and I was confused but we were happy. For us, Katsuki is like a big brother to us. A brother that constantly help us. I don't know what will happen to us if we never met him.
Suddenly, I feel an immense and ominous aura behind me. I look behind and see that the tree is moving and forming itself into something. The tree form itself as a giant monster with two horns and sharp claws. It looks like a monster that Katsuki called a demon. It eyes glows crimson red and shotted a glare towards us.The aura. The pressure. And the bloodlust. It was drowning me with it. I can feel that my body is screaming to run away but at the same time, fear is paralyzing my body. I can't breath. The same thing also happened to my brother. My brother looks pale and was sweating crazily. We were at our peak of mentality. I was about to pass out. Then, Katsuki suddenly stood up and and unsheathed his dagger. He was already in stance. I was amazed that Katsuki can handle the pressure. Katsuki expression was really serious. At that moment, I thought we will be safe. Then, the monster smile eerily. The pressure of it increase dramatically. That's when I noticed, we don't stand any chance of beating this monster. Suddenly, the monster head toward and went in Katsuki's left side of his neck. The monster completely went in Katsuki and a mark appeared from where it went in.
Then, Katsuki expression change. He held his left neck and bend down. Katsuki was feeling pain. Immense pain in fact. He try to resist the pain but it was to much that he screams in pain to the top of his lungs. I never see someone in such a state. And that person was Katsuki of all people we see. I was devastated by the seen.
