Chapter 2 - The ones that we left behind

We were stunned at the sound of the screams. At first, I thought that it meant someone lost their dog, a mugger was stealing a purse, anything that would make sense. But as we all look towards where the screams had come from we seem that it was the sound of a mother that just lost her child to the storm. Brant asks, "Should we go check it out?". Miley says, "No, we should go home and warn our families or something. We just need to get out of here." While Brant and Miley argue, the storm grows and moves expanding in size. Little John looks at me and asks, "What should we do now?" The only thing that I can think of is, " Let's run!" We all begin running as fast as we can to our cars. Little John and Brant drove with me in my car. Miley runs off in a different direction to find her brother that she rode with. Before we knew it, she was gone. As we exchanged looks, we knew that the storm had taken her. I started the car and broke almost all speed limit laws on the way to my home. Little John, Brant, and I ran in to find his Mom, Amy, and my Dad to tell them what happened. Little John began calling him mom (Kim Storms), dad (John Storms), sister ( Maddison), and brother (Eli Storms). He rang three times each, but the only one that answered was his brother that told him that he was at a friend's house where he should be safe. Amy and my Dad told us to pack our bags and asked Little John upon his plans. Brant and I helped the rest our siblings to get their cloths together ( the siblings in order of youngest to oldest are JoAnna Redford, Jazlyn Redford, Tyler Redford, Sophia Aguila, and Austin Aguila [ Brant's and Amy's last name was Redford and my last name was Aguila]) once everyone was done, I met Little John on the couch. He appeared to be holding back tears. I asked what was wrong. He said nothing and just grabbed my hand and payed his head on my shoulder. After a short while him and I went into the car with everyone else. Dad sped as everyone else was keeping their eyes on the storm. It seemed it be growing in every direction, we had no clue what it looked like on the inside or how many people it took. My older brother, Austin, turned on the news through his iPhone and turned it up all of the way. There seemed to be no explanation for the storm and had an approximate death count of three hundred and growing. They advised to evacuate all areas within a mile radius of the storm. Once Austin turned off of the news, everyone began called of their contacts to see who was alive and what they were doing. There were very few answers, but we didn't know if they were asleep or taken.
