[Among the Ancient Greeks, the Orphic Mystery Religion believes that an already existing soul that survives death and is later reincarnated as a human or animal, can eventually being removed from the cycle of life and death and return to its soul state. Unlike them, Plato believes that the soul is immortal and would reincarnate forever.]

In a treehouse, a 30 years old lady was taking care of a child. That child was special, he didn't look like any other. He had scales almost all over his body and instead of having legs he had a snake tail. His eyes that most people would think look monstrous were just cute snake eyes. When the lady gently patted his head his white curly hair was as fluffy as a cloud. For her, he looked like an adorable child. The lady saved this child who was abandoned by his own village and parents and decided to adopt him. "Well from now on your name will be Hirotsu." The elf lady said with a warm look in her eyes.
***flash back***
As the child's father walked away he heard a low menacing growl. He froze with a cold sweat down his spine. At that second a shadow jumped on the man, making him fall flat on his stomach and groan from pain. The beast bit the man's shoulder and tore it apart. Blood was easily flowing out of the wound. The baby giggled. When the beast got closer to the noisy thing the man started running using the baby as bait. When the beast saw the baby, fear spread over its body. It sensed that something was wrong with it. Even though it looked weak, something was telling him to not attack it.
Because the baby couldn't move from its place, the black beast looked back at the man who was running for his life. The beast found him more appetizing than the little child. It quickly caught up with the man and played with his food. It used its sharp claws to slice the flesh of the man's legs until he became unable to use them and fell down. Then he took a bite of his arm while letting the man breath and feel the pain.
"No please... I did nothing wrong! I can't take care of him." The man started crying for his life. It was a pathetic sight. The beast didn't understand him and even if it could, he wouldn't care. The man was just food in its eyes. The black beast jumped at the man's throat and quickly killed him while he was desperately screaming for help.
For an unknown reason the beast was now attracted to the baby. Even though, a minute ago it seemed like the worst choice, a delicious smell was attracting it to him. while licking its muzzle it turned around and advanced towards the irresistible perfume. It didn't even have time to come that close that an arrow of light stabbed it right through its heart making it fall on the ground with its eyes open. He keeps looking at the direction of the child until the life in the beast's eyes disappears.
An elf woman that was hiding in a tree and watching them from the beginning to the end had killed it. She didn't feel that merciful to help the heartless man but she felt drawn to the mysterious child. She left the best's and man's bodies there so other creatures can take care of it and took the baby in her arms to have a better look at it.
With a smile, she said. "Well aren't you the unusual one?" And as a response the baby happily giggled.
***Yui***
Yui ran as if she was one with the wind. She felt so lightheaded that she forgot that she was an unknown beast and that she was running, but luckily, she found something that looked like a river. Happy to finally see what she looked like she bends her head to look at her reflection. 'Please don't be ugly, please don't be ugly.'
She would have felt depressed if this body was so ugly that it would scare others and even herself. That would make her unable to hunt. 'It's not like l hope to look cute....' She lied to herself. Her wish came true. She had the same purple eyes as when she was a snake but they looked more like wolf's ones. Her fur was as black as night and the most important part is that she was a majestic wolf.
'It would be even easier to kill in this body than my snake one.' She already liked her body even more than before and wagged her tail with excitement. She was still a girl so that was also a plus. Sure, she could get used with time even as a boy but she was happy not to become one. She was never interested in love and hoped to never be.
After all the running she felt the thirst so Yui drank as much water as she could. Even if it looked like simple water it felt delicious. 'Isn't water supposed to taste like... water?' Thinking of delicious things, she had this feeling that somewhere before she smelled something good but can't guess what it was.
Looking at her reflection again, Yui saw something coming at the surface. Curious about this being, she approached her muzzle to the water. She finally could understand that what she was seeing was a big fish mouth that was opened. Unfortunately, the fish had time to reach her before she could run away. With Yui's head in its mouth, it dragged her inside the water. While being dragged she thought. 'Thanks for the bath.' Sooner or later, she herself would have jumped into the water to take a bath.
