It was Winter, Vector liked the cold but he had other matters to attend to, he flew to Brazil..He found a pile of stones that was usually left for the dead, it was Truck's Memorial.
Only those who knew the specific details of his death would know where Truck's memorial could be found, from the troop of revolutionaries, none had survived. The Brazilian Representative had spent great efforts in discovering this location, he felt deeply ashamed for his indifference.
Vector took out five crystals and placed them into the offerings bowl. "I'm sorry, I really thought that you would have lived. In my shortsightedness, I cost you your lives. I will not forget you."
When he had his fair share of grief, Vector once again took to the Air. Making across the Gulf of Mexico and across the United States, he looked to the people on the ground like a shiny streak that crossed the sky. When he got into Alaska, he stopped near Norton Sound and build an Ice Castle on the Lake. It was fairly easy and would last until the Season ended, he spend a few hours on it and felt quite proud before crossing over into Russia.
Following the coastline south he had Japan in sight. Below, he could see the water churning like a blender. Vector had never heard of something like that happening, it explanation simply didn't exist on Earth. He wasn't sure what was going on but there was a cargo ship nearby and it was being drawn into the swirl.
Concentrating in-flight, Vector found he had a lot more control over his abilities than before. Frost spread out from above the whirlpool, it collected and was swallowed by the seas. He pumped more energy into it.
Salt water was harder to freeze than fresh water, especially if it was an ocean. Freezing winds blew off the surface o the water but it was only getting slightly cooler. Vector inhaled deeply and shot out a breath attack.
When the breath attack hit the churning water, a figure shot out. He was blue and rode atop a wave, "Finally, Prey." Charging an energy within his hands, the Vishnan looked like he was enjoying himself.
"I've met with your kind before, you don't scare me." Vector knew very much about the Vishnans or their weaknesses, he had spent time as one with the help of Wu Hai but they had not battled each other at the time. The only thing that Vector knew about Vishnan's was their silver tongues that could charm and enslave. The books said they were Conquerors and alien to the world of Shiyan. Plugging his ears, Vector started to run.
'This is a problem. I have to get away from these ships.' Vector saw the Peninsula coming to an end, just across the gulf was Japan. He slapped his shoulder and made contact with Wu Hai. "Hey, I found something strange in the water. Its chasing me."
"Can you kite it?" Wu Hai waited for an answer but Vector had stuffed his ears.
The crystal broke, pulling another from his storage, it vibrated immediately. Vector waited, he didn't say anything.
"Hold on." It was a moment later, Wu Hai came out of the communication stone with the others.
Behind him, the water was still churning. "Vishnans are able to control water, don't use Fire or Lightning, we already know those to be ineffective." Wu Hai poked Vector, "You should be fine, I was talking to everyone else. Truthers, do your best to suppress mental attacks and don't get caught up in them."
"Say what?" Vector wasn't sure what was going on but he was sure that battling a Vishnan over the ocean was a terrible idea. He pulled the stuffing from his ears and Wu Hai seemed very stern about his decision. "You're going to have to work together."
Camera Drones circled the area while carrying one of the devices for the projectors. It allowed the people to witness the fight from above so that the public could watch and understand. It was borderline impossible to predict where the Vishnan would appear and was good fortune that Vector had spotted it.
Wu Hai's arrival had not been publicized, yet, when his image and the members of his party appeared over the cities of the world there was an uproar. Many people were cheering but not many of them understood what was really going on in the projections. Two figures dressed in white robes, one had a star on her forehead and the other had a sun on his were hovering over the water. Behind them, three peerless beauties were channeling a white energy, flickers of four colored fire trailed red lines that orbited around their bodies.
"This. World. is. Protected." Wu Hai didn't wait, he flashed directly in front of the Vishnan holding the crusher in his hands and swung up.
The Vishnan was knocked out of the water, hit in the face and three beams crashed into him midair. Vector spread a layer of Ice across the ocean floor, freezing the water into a bed of spikes. Noyuki was directly above when Vira, Kuzunoha and Mursayade were busy blasting it with light. She charged a churning mixture of white and black energies, they were rolling together and tied themselves in a knot-work.
A Camera drone was capturing the battle from a distance. When Noyuki made her move, it left the world without room to breath. Brilliant displays of power they thought unimaginable burst out over the Pacific. Aboard the Container Ship nearby, the battle was dangerous to even observe. Great waves and loose ice were crashing against its hull.
Noyuki yelled and thrust her fingers out, the beam danced around itself, tumbling down from the sky. The Vishnan made contact with it while it was still under bombardment.
The Party scattered to avoid the explosion and Wu Hai moved to intercept him. There were only a few seconds before it would gain the ability to escape.
Truthers were doing everything to suppress all external mental energies in the area, one of them cried out and fell from the sky. She was unable to keep up with the strength of the Vishnan's Mental counterattack.
Glaring at the Truther's around him, the Vishnan opened its mouth and a piercing echo sounded. Everyone had their ears plugged but the force of the vibrations that were sent out were just too much to handle. More of the Truthers began to fall.
Vira motioned for the group to follow, Wu Hai was doing his best at channeling. The fight over water was not going very well. He had hit the invader with the crusher and knocked it into the air but once it came back down there would be a problem. Wu Hai stored the crusher to free up his other hand, he grabbed at the Vishnan's throat and dug his fingers into its gills. Flicking his finger, he appeared over New Mexico and threw the Vishnan into the sand.
"There's no water here for you." Wu Hai pulled out the Crusher and stood over the Vishnan.
"That's where you're wrong." Energies poured into the Vishnan and water began to slowly trickle out of the Desert Sands and collect into small balls.
The Crusher came down on the Vishnan's skull, it broke the side of its face, he had died in that moment.
Wu Hai took the corpse into his spacial ring, there was a vibration on his shoulder, he answered. "Meet me back at Tower City." Storing the crusher away, Wu Hai noticed the people staring at him. Dozens of people, like a church group were standing around near a cliff-side and had a full view of the Vishnan's execution. "You're safe now." He channeled a teleportation ring in his hands and vanished.
The Sands around him swirled after he left but some had been carried with him on his arrival at Zao City. The others were already waiting, "What happened? Did it die?" Qingchi was the first to ask, after she had first engaged it, she was worried that they wouldn't be able to stop it.
"I've stopped the Vishnan." He pulled the corpse out of storage, it landed on the stones. Wu Hai stowed it away after, the smell was somewhat unbearable. "What a pain in the ass. I figured it would be easier to fight him in the desert. In the end I killed him before he could finish monologue. Apparently, the crusher is a lot harder than I once thought. Still, I'm curious why did it take more than thirty years for one to appear. Nothing's changed."
"It may have been anything, short of actually heading to the other planets, I don't see how we'll ever know." Kuzunoha looked at the ships afterward. "You're not going there are you?"
"No. We've already proven that they can be killed. You'll just have to come up with ways to stop them. I have a few ideas but I'm the new one here... sort of." Noyuki came to Kuzunoha's side.
Wu Hai nodded, "I think you might have a great idea." It was an idea that had been on his mind since their leaving Earth in orbit. The thought of 'what to do after' had been a big time sink.
He gave Noyuki the floor, "Thanks, I know I'm sort of new but my outside prospective might be just what you all need. I think we should just give power to everyone who isn't a piece of shit or immediately rejected by the Truthers."
"Humans here are violent, its going to be difficult. We can't just allow Billions of Humans unrestricted access to new hunting grounds, it would destroy our world. We can allow some but not all and certainly not those who won't meet our standards or obey law. We contain the lesser demon's within the Demon Territories for safety reasons. If we brought over so many, wouldn't they just pillage the landscapes?" Wu Hai had a plethora of political problems to deal with already, even though he had essentially given up the power to rule as the Emperor, it was only slightly relinquished. The people who knew of him only knew of him as the Emperor and shaking that persona had been extremely difficult.
Now, Wu Hai wanted to become a God.
"The Bombings still haven't stopped." Ying Wu reminded the group.
Bazingah had everyone's attention when she stood up. "the HRMM still wants to meet with the Emperor."
Wu Hai sighed, "I don't want to be the Emperor, the title itself is a cruel joke played on me by Vector. We're both working to change how people view us. I suppose for the sake of argument, I'm still the person they want to meet and I wonder how they will want to meet."
"No doubt its to try to kill you but, with what?" Hana shrugged in confusion. "There is basically nothing here that can even harm us, what exactly could they do to harm 'you' of all people?"
"There really is nothing, I'm sure that, short of a nuclear bomb, they don't have a chance." Wu Hai sat down in a chair and thought it over. "I could go wearing a puppet.."
"Won't they just see through that? Furthermore, why are you negotiating with terrorists?" Vector stood up and walked around the center of the room.
"So the chance exists that they can blow you up. Great." Vira didn't like the way
"I'm more worried that by answering their demands, they will expect more than just a face to face this one time." Vector was right, he slapped his tail against the floor. "I know in my gut that if we capitulate even the slightest, we're done, we will never have any authority on this world."
"I have to agree with Vector." Igenzo stepped out of the shadows.
"Brother Ho, Who is this?" Wu Hai looked the black and red man over, his tail was sharp at one end like a spear and he had a beard.
"Ah.. Father, This. This is Igenzo, My Husband." Hana stepped in quickly. "This is Bazingah, your granddaughter. Bazingah, say hello to your Grandfather."
Wu Hai remembered Hana having a child but he hadn't expected that a Leader of Hell would leave. "So you're Igenzo. I would prefer my daughter to have remained somewhere besides hell but, it seems you're keeping her happy."
"You've been gone for a long time Zao. Things change, people evolve." Igenzo waved Wu Hai off like a fly that had landed nearby.
'What a prick.' Wu Hai turned the conversation back to the Bombers. "We could use the Projectors and announce a manhunt. The Empire can easily give rewards for assistance in locating remnant forces. I could also dangle China in front of them."
"They don't believe that China has been preserved, they believe that the people were imprisoned and made into slaves." Ho shook his head no.
Wu Hai pulled out the Nation of China, it laid in his hands.. "That's nonsense, I haven't even bothered to check in on them yet. In total, they probably only experienced a passage of time. The country is shrunken, not gone. In fact, this is probably the first light they've had in three years."
"We've said as much but with loud mouths that aren't executed for subversion and treason, what else can we do? We're trying to maintain the laws already present but its very difficult since not all of them want to be a part of it.." Ho had some thoughts but most of them were about why giving power away was a bad idea.
