Lots of questions filled Wu Hai's mind, he had the weapon in his hand and he was doing his best to probe its functions. Pushing his energy into the weapon, Wu Hai could see it contained a space beyond a slightly gray fog, the space was fairly large. There things inside, some bottles of red liquid that reminded him of healing potions and orange ones marked with an energy symbol. Cases and cases of them filled the storage space in the weapon. As he dove deeper into the weapon's storage capacity he found a lot of materials, things he had never touched or even read about.
'Soft Nine-Tailed Owl Pellet, Who needs OWL PELLET!' By the end of it, Wu Hai pulled his senses out and gasped in disgust.
"Master, this weapon is like my spacial bracelet. Many, many things are inside, Look!" Pulling a health potion out of the box, Old Man Jiang clasped it in his hands and opened the top. The fragrance of the herbs had been perfectly preserved, it was a top quality health potion. Its bottle showed the era which it was produced had been a prominent one.
"This was inside?" Old man Jiang looked at Wu Hai in a state of confusion.
Wu Hai had sensed a space but to Old Man Jiang, the weapon was emitting power. This potion was indeed marvelous but it didn't match up to the volume of power he was feeling that was almost dripping from the weapon while it was sitting on the counter.
"No no, there are thousands of them and not just these." Wu Hai tried discussing the things he had seen.
Master Jiang was uncertain whether or not he should burden the boy with prophecy and speculation, especially if the book was true. Eventually Wu Hai would have to battle the Custodians, they were beyond his capability and interaction at this stage in Wu Hai's development would prove to be catastrophic.
Wu Hai pulled out his Bracelet and emptied it's contents into the Weapon.
When the items were stored inside, they were immediately sorted. The items sorted to destinations in the distance before settling with similar objects in groupings. Wu Hai's probing could see the newer items from time to time, "This place is too strange."
It was a huge space inside the weapon. When he thought about making a list, one suddenly appeared in his head. Having the power of the mind, he could instantly account for anything he saw.
Doing quick calculations, he could never hope to use it all. 'Its just too much..' Wu Hai set the weapon down gently.
Feeling strange, Wu Hai took his training outside while his Master looked over the cubes. Making sure not to cast them or roll the dice, Old Man Jiang placed them down and went to prepare some dinner.
Wu Hai trained until the suns had come to set. Returning to his room, he grabbed all three dice and threw again. He required something to take his mind off the ticking time bomb in the other room, people had come to kill his father for it and the last person who had it was already dead.
'Water, Stars, Wave'
He was very pleased with the roll, it was more ethereal water. He drew out water and gave it an ethereal nature. Casting it in a collapsing wave pattern on the insides of his body, he could feel his power circulating. Unsure if what he was doing was good or not, it certainly felt that way.. his ears went a little warm and he could feel yang energy flooding his body. His skin grew clearer and sparkled like jade when he channeled. His ability gave him a glowing effect almost like celestial being.
For all the times that Old Man Jiang had used his abilities to strengthen his own body, he had never, in all his life thought that someones skin could be as flawless as Wu Hai's in that moment.
Master Jiang gulped. Wu Hai's body was almost clear in the moonlit night, the refreshing look on his face showed his perseverance in training and ability to accept what lay before him. As a disciple, Wu Hai was a cut above, he kept training even without consultation.
Sitting down to eat with his master, Wu Hai gently played with his powers at the table. He could sense himself coming closer to a breakthrough, it was at his fingertips, literally. Quickly thinking about the tips of his fingers, a pulsating wave of starlight pushed a bubble around his finger, which spread to his arm, then chest, head and legs.
Covered in a strange magical membrane that extended around him, Wu Hai tried to grab his food but the plate moved away from him, as if repelled. 'This is odd,' he retracted his energy and tried to grab the food again but there bubble took a while to come away. Wu Hai ate his food before his powers could have the chance to surprise him all over again.
'This seems to be some sort of barrier, I'm sure it will come in handy if this set of powers manifests again.' Wu Hai had a lot of time to master the techniques and he could feel his abilities getting stronger, millimeter by millimeter. Running back to his room to try again, he cast the dice.
Reading them in his head, Wu Hai wanted to experiments so he cast the many times.
'Fire, Healing, Combat'
'Lightning, Metal, Explosion'
'Ice, Soul, Shooting Star'
'Wood, Stars, Downpour'
'Earth, Stars, Ring'
Again, continuing with his training many more combinations kept appearing. Each time he experienced a different power set, he grew his understandings and knowledge over the elements.
'Lightning, Darkness, Wave'
'Fire, Mind, Downpour'
'Earth, Soul, Combat' Standing in utter peace, Wu Hai felt at one with the world around him. He could sense the bending of the grass by the drains edge, the swaying of the bush, the step of a fly on the wall, the lunge of a sparrow. He could feel it all and it all felt so slightly overwhelming.
It was a strange sensation, stranger than most. Wu Hai's Yang energy overflowed into a fluid mass that bashed into the table. It pooled like a liquid but it was heavy. 'If I can just use this in combat, my opponents would be overwhelmed by its might.'
The feeling was incomprehensible before he had come into contact with it. There was no escaping it's ecstasy as he ran his hands along his body from his legs to his buttocks, then up his chest. Wu Hai even took a peek at his member to notice its own changes. It was a strange feeling, he was hot all over, the energy was enormous.
Feeling the stickiness accumulating across his body again, it was not a normal stickiness. The ick was tacky and hard to remove. Entering his bath, he remembered that he didn't have the power of fire when he stepped into the shower to rinse himself off. The cold shower did him well but left him in shivers. Wu Hai consolidated the power into his body, circulating the energy throughout his muscles until they grew and he kept feeling that something was missing.
He loosed the towel to dry himself and picked up the dice. Thinking that his power set was perfect for the moment, he sat down and meditated with the three dice rolling around in his hand. 'I must think of a better use for these.' Muttering to himself, Wu Hai leapt into his bed and under the sheets. It was still nearing spring and much time was needed before he could truly feel self reliant in the face of adversity.
