Class ended, it was time for Hana to return to the Cabin and Master Lu Sha, she still had training to do before she could rest and eat.
Elder Kesra pushed the doors open and sent the disciples away, one by one they filtered out of the stairs and Hana walked outside. She whistled, a command she was reminded of by her Teacher. Caoimhe gave off a familiar tone as she dove down and landed in front of Hana. Hana hadn't tried flying with her own wings much, to the other student's it seemed a bit excessive for her to even mount the Basket Drake. When the flowery wings expanded and took them into the sky, a sweet scent was left in their wake.
Caoimhe flew low near the treetops and toward the cabin. Her pace was almost as quick as Master Lu Sha. When they arrived, Hana sent Caoimhe off to hunt and then she stepped inside. "Disciple Greets Master." Hana bowed but there was no one there.
A pot simmered on the fire on the third island. Master Lu Sha was no where to be seen. Paper was laying under a rock, she read the note. 'Practice the circulation technique while flying, I will return with meat when its time for dinner.'
Hana didn't know what to feel, she got into position, circulated her mana, channeling her energy continuously throughout her body. The effect of the dimension lessened and then she started to use her wings and fly. She did her best to keep airborne but a hovering motion was very difficult, she bobbed up and down a lot in flight.
She continued for about an hour and then a figure appeared in the rift. It rolled around and unfurled. A small borendum mole, no bigger than Hana came walking through the rift space. It shrieked and a wave of energy crashed out. Fleeing for its life, it started to dig and burrowed into the soil of the first island in the dimensional space.
Hana could see it in the starlight, the dark of the night did little to hide the hues that were emitted when an object entered the spacial rift. The Portal shimmered again, another beast entered, then another. Over the scope of a few minutes about a hundred beasts ran into the portal and started to dig. Hana was getting worried, Master Lu Sha wanted her to train but the Borendum moles were tearing up the landscape. 'Master, you need to get back here.' She kept an eye on the Moles but they had a tendency to dig and once underground she had a much harder time telling them apart. The floating island was being torn to pieces from the inside, debris cast itself into the void, scattering.
"THIS!" A voice cried out. Hana looked down and saw a Minaur holding a stick.
"Who are you!" Hana pulled out a two handed hammer and confronted the Minotaur man. "You are not allowed here, leave." Hana poured some energy into the hammer, lighting it up in the darkness.
He reeled back a bit. "My flock, I can't leave them here but I don't think I'll ever get them to willingly leave this sort of place." Looking around he whistled and the Moles came running.
"Like I said, you're not going to get me to leave with my flock." He pulled an axe from his back and brought it down in front of him, a wave and slash attack propelled itself across the space.
Hana circulated her energy and poured it into her eyes, she followed his movements and tried to destroy his weapon. 'Success?' She watched as a crack appeared on the blade. It slammed against the ground again from an aerial swing. A piece of it chipped off and flew away.
Dodging, Hana looked around at the Moles. They were sniffing at the air while they charged in her direction. She flew into the air. 'The Floating Island.' Hana used the Eagles Eyes Pierces Rock Technique to cut the portal entry pad from the island and watched it float into the space, the island started to break apart, it shattered into thirty pieces. The moles were cast into the air of the surrounding space, some of them crashed into the individual fragments that were drifting while others were stuck floating, unable to change position, struggling endlessly in vain.
The Minotaur man was hopping from island to island trying to keep his composure. When he landed on one of the larger fragments, he saw some of the tools that were laying around. He tried collecting them but couldn't carry much, he whistled and lurched toward the doorway with a handful of loose tools that her Master had left.
"No, Master is a cheap ass, you can't take these from here." Hana flew toward him, she reached for the Axe on his back. He turned to punch but her wing cut at his arm. It severed his hand, using the other he tried to stop the bleeding. The tools fell to the floor and the Moles grabbed what they could. Running away with the spears and brooms in their mouths made little sense to Hana but she didn't want to get scolded by her master on the first day.
A wash of light filled the space between her, the Minotaur and his mole army. They were blinded and Hana swung her hammer. She broke the horns on his head and sent him sailing far into the dimensional space, much closer to the training grounds and away from anything of perceived value.
"Gimme that." Hana grabbed a spear and killed off several of the moles. Moving toward the intruder, she struck down between what was left of his legs. "Why did you attack me?!" He turned, and, using broken chunk of the axe he slit his own throat. Hana tried grabbing the wound but he struck her in the temple and knocked her off of him. His body flinched and twitched for a moment and the light left his eyes.
"WHAT THE ####!" Hana's yell filled the surrounding space, there were moles everywhere. She found rope and tied them together, binding their mouths. 'Master isn't going to like this.'
