Humans were disruptive by compulsion to control some sort of power over nature. The digging into the West Mountain's eastern face was merely a chore for the Clan. A cart rail system was completely unnecessary with spacial rings to transport the rubble, Qu could then breakdown the ore into baser elements. In all, the project would be efficient and didn't leave much other than a gaping hole.
Wu Hai had instructed the Twins to line the inside of the caves with metal rather than strip mine the mountain from the landscape. They could produce basic metals in endless amounts and a steel construction for the mines interior would completely seal and guarantee its survival. Once they had plotted the gemstone lodes in the mountain, the leftover mine would probably serve as a good shelter.
It would be fortified enough to serve as a branch of the sect. Wu Hai thought about it some more and came to a conclusion. The Alchemy Department would take up residence in the Western Mountain. There were endless caverns and caves inside the depths of the Mountain, all research projects associated with Alchemy would go undisturbed by the City happenings.
When Wu Hai left with Jiao Jiao and Khan Ni, Wu Hai was once again forced into being the mount. He could get much larger and carry the duo. Qu and the Bent Tower would have to stay with the Clan until they returned, researchers needed more time and Wu Hai didn't have the Tower when he first started out in his adventures. The journey would be nostalgic, in a sense.
Jiao Jiao still couldn't speak, but his personality was starting to show by the end of the first evening. He had always been in control of his flying but as a passenger he was quite obnoxious. Jiao Jiao would occasionally grip down onto Wu Hai's back from a fear of falling. For some unforeseeable reason he kept feeling like he would fall, like a fresh child Jiao Jiao was still getting familiar with sensations.
Khan Ni was desperate to search for the World Tree Seed. The Minaur Shop that had offered to trade with her had been destroyed in the Sinkhole. Minaur City's population was mostly wiped out by the cave-in. The Vault holding the World Tree seed was buried.
Whatever the reason, Wu Hai was the Taxi.
Getting to his largest Dragon-kin form they set off to the east. Wu Hai tried his best to backtrack to the sinkhole that use to be an Underground City. In the evening there was some distance to go, Wu Hai made a small shelter with wood magic. The Summer months made the the night air cool and relaxing. The occasional passing wolf could smell them, but not enter the sealed shelter. It was a lot better than the scrappy tent he had met the Cheng Twins in.
They had come a long way.
When morning came the suns were at their back, a forest to the North and a desert to the South. The Central plains were more like rolling hills and a lot easier to navigate. The Path was clearer in the Wast and landmarks were few. The scar from the marching horde had destroyed most of the landscape. If the Group had not been able to fly, it would have been a nightmare to navigate at all.
Looking down, Jiao Jiao could see the approaching Sinkhole in the distance. Wu Hai landed and used the tips of his fingers to pull out the cup and die. It was a little comical to see, but he managed just the same.
What was important was that he got digging.
The Black Spot proved to be useful when digging out of the collapsed hole the last time and Wu Hai had gotten an upgrade since then. Moving at a much faster pace with their proven method of excavation, the group didn't take long to find the remains of the lower shops at the bizarre. Wu Hai kept all the debris from the tunneling in his spacial ring.
The city was vacant, there were entire fortunes just laying on the ground. Everyone seemed to be in a hurry to escape. Those that couldn't ended up as debris.
Wu Hai didn't hold back in looting the crushed city remains. He did right by the dead, collecting them into a separate ring. The upper levels had been picked clean by the passing horde looking for slaves and prizes, but the portion that Wu Hai and Khan Ni arrived at had been sealed during the cave-in.
"Which way do we go to find the World Seed?" Wu Hai had been clearing shops and bodies all the while re-stabilizing the ceiling from caving in on them.
The Upper floors had compacted onto some of the lower floors, clearing the lower floor had made an amphitheater in the cavern. It was surrounded by metal and every time Wu Hai struck the soil, the sound echoed. Slowly but surely, Wu Hai had made off with the majority of remains in the city.. more or less.
In one random direction or another they looked, but the store itself was proving to be harder to locate. Khan Ni didn't memorize the way around, she had been popping from shop to shop and gotten lost, then gotten directions from some random Minaur. Her sense of direction underground or in a city was something that had yet to be worked on.
"Darkwing would have been pissed, I'm a little glad we let him train with the stealth corp while we do this. Genba would have never come either, I wish things were easier for him." Wu Hai commented briefly before they went further down into the mines.
Rock after rock was deposited into his storage and Wu Hai had to stop from time to time to regain energy. His large form used a lot more energy than the smaller bodies, having to wait made things complicated. Every hour or so Wu Hai's energy would plummet and he had to wait again.
Jiao Jiao was uniquely attuned, his Wind magic was useful in keeping fresh air in the tunnel, but it was still something to even communicate to him without Khan Ni's help. "Khan Ni, we need more air down here again.. I need you to help Jiao Jiao somehow or we'll have to create a shaft out."
"I'd rather not have to stop, this place feels closer to what I remember, the slope of the road at least seems right." Khan Ni tried to remember, but it was ultimately too difficult when the debris was so thick.
"You said that you think this is near, fine." Wu Hai rolled for soul magic and spread his senses out.
Drifting his consciousness in and out the rubble all around him, Wu Hai's spiritual sense penetrated a lot of things. He was able to see a few dozen shops and then he found one room that was very hard to even look into. "A large safe, much like the one you described is down the way."
Turning to the left and backing a bit Wu Hai re-positioned himself better and started to burrow to the shop.
A lot of the street of it managed to not be destroyed, but its inside had collapsed along with the remainder of the city's section.
"He did say that I was free to take the Seed if I eliminated the Blackhoof Thugs, those assholes are all dead now." Khan Ni didn't want to feel like she was robbing, or even grave robbing.
"Its fine. Let me get smaller, this is cramping me." Wu Hai shrank down and put the Gygax cup away.
"Lets take everything away after we locate the seed. This Minaur shop seemed quite wealthy, this safe was also pretty durable and blocked my spiritual sense. I'm sure that Xuan Kim Li would have fun looking it over." Wu Hai started to clear rubble blocking the safe door.
Once the debris was gone, they started pulling at the door.
It was locked.
There was no helping it, Wu Hai would have to destroy the door or attempt to unlock it.
"Its Locked. I don't know unlock spells or have knowledge about this sort of thing." Wu Hai looked back at Khan Ni.
Khan Ni was a little more than frustrated at the situation.
Continuing he said "I can try cutting it, but... that could make things worse. I should just take the whole thing with me, If I dig it out and use a storage ring I should be able store the whole thing without any problems.
Nodding, Khan Ni gave her consent.
This was her mission, regardless of how it went. Her biggest responsibility in her life before she met Wu Hai was to find a world tree, or start another one when she found a seed. World tree seeds were not hard to find if one was in the vicinity of a world tree, however if you took a world tree seed you wouldn't necessarily know how to get it started and the requirements were enormous.
The 'Blood Price' of the World Tree's germination was intimidating.
"Right, give me a moment." Wu Hai started digging with a gusto.
With the soil removed, the vault started to tilt and was freed from its foundations. Waving his hand, the vault and its contents were swept into the ring.
Wu Hai wasn't done with the promises he made years ago. His promise to Khan Ni had been fulfilled, however; He had promised Darkwing and Genba that if he ever were to return he would not leave Genba's fellow townsfolk rotting in a hole.
Genba had only one request, bury his wife and children together.
There were plenty of things in the vicinity that had auras. Weapons, Rings, Bracelets, Necklaces, Armors, Merchandise laying in the streets that now lay half buried in rubble were in every direction. Thanks to Wu Hai's smaller form, picking out items buried was a lot faster.
Wu Hai found of the places with fallen children, he collected them all into the storage with the others and made his way to the shops. Genba's family home wasn't too far from the main tunnel, it didn't take long for him to find their remains.
Genba had moped around for years, it was only just recently that he had found another love in his life. Wu Hai took great care in gathering the dead for his friend, his family's bodies were stored separately.

Some of the elevator mechanisms were easy enough to take along. Wu Hai deposited the pulley systems and carriages. "More treats for the City Development Crew."
When he was about to leave, he noticed a tunnel gilded with gold and silver decoration. It was unlike the other Minaur tunnels. Jiao Jiao noticed them and started flickering instinctively down the hallway.
Leading the way Jiao Jiao led them to a pool of sacred mineral waters, many colors of pools lined the cave.
Next to the pools were bottles of each. Wu Hai felt greedy, but this was too precious a gift to leave unattended.
"I can't believe this had been here for more than four years untouched. Khan Ni, what do you know about this stuff? Anything? I haven't studied alchemy much at all." Wu Hai waved his hand to put the bottles away and pulled out a number of empty storage rings.
"Here" Tossing a few rings to Khan Ni Wu Hai had her help. "Fill each ring with a different pool, don't leave anything you don't have to and don't mix anything."
One by one the pools were drained. Wu Hai looked at the cave, its basins were starting to fill again. Wu Hai was puzzled. Spreading his senses out again he noticed that a large energy source was feeding the pools below. "I think this place is very special... too special."
Jiao Jiao had been led away by the Minaurs when Wu Hai, Khan Ni and the Cheng Twins had first come to the city. Khan Ni assumed that this was the place. She remembered the sight of the tiny Jiao dancing as it made the way through the city. She saw a few of the stone carvings and statues of Jiao in the city and picked a few up for keeping.
Wu Hai had Khan Ni and Jiao Jiao stay put while he looked quickly. "I'll be right back"
Digging through the bedrock took a lot more effort than Wu Hai had to use for the other passages of the City.
The stones used in the area were a different architecture the further down he went.
"Fun. Looks like this won't be as boring as I thought it would be." Wu Hai found a crack that led to another cave, peering through he saw the energy source.
Wu Hai cringed, he recognized the form of the being.
It was another Orb with an attitude. This orb was not Green and White, but Black and Blue.
"Company? Oh?!" A strange voice fizzled into earshot.
Lights resembling the colors of the pools above started to pour from the opening in the cracks.
"You think I'm a problem? Hah.. Human. Know your place." The voice was a little furious at the presumptive and hesitant look Wu Hai had on his face.
"I've met your kind before, Its amazing that you all act so villainous. To be like this as a species, it must really drag you all down." Wu Hai retorted with blatant sarcasm.
"Mortal, Do you know what we are?" The voice rang out again.
"Why would I know what you are? You seem to be enslaved and treated like a commodity, how Can I respect that? You're being treated as cattle, by Cow-People. The last time I met one of you, the voice tried to kill us with deceptions. What makes you any different? I should just seal you the same way and count my blessings." Readying to leave, the voice called out to stop the Prince.
"Please don't go. I won't attack, but I do want to talk... please, its been so long." The voice turned from demanding to desperate.
To be sealed meant near zero chances of ever being found again.
Wu Hai asked another question. "Give me a reason. What are you and what do you want?"
Astounded by his own willingness to at least hear what the voice had to say, Wu Hai watched an incorporeal form took shape. It was Black and Turquoise with a head that was much bigger than it needed to be.
"What the hell are you? I'm a damned Guardian! I'm so sick of being stuck here.. What I want is out. I want out of this damned tomb, name your price for my freedom." The Mata Turtle Spirit seemed undignified in its response.
Wu Hai was about to turn and leave when the deformed looking Spirit felt the Crusher's presense and his composure turned a deep shade of shame.
The Mata Turtle Guardian was now quiet and gentler.
Kneeling down, the illusion prostrated itself before Wu Hai. "Forgive me for not recognizing you sooner, mMaster."
"Master has the Weapon of the Creator." The Mata Turtle Spirit still had its face to the floor, not daring to look back up.
Even though it was just a projection, the Mata Turtle Spirits feelings about the Creator were real enough.
Zao Wu Hai's Mother Calistown would read to him as a child. One of his favorite books was about the Guardians who stood up to the Custodians. The Guardians believed in the Maker, While the Custodians treated themselves as the highest beings and rejected the Idea that the Maker would return from Death.
A spirit capable of producing those pools was literally throwing himself at him. He would be a complete and utter disappointment to his ancestors in both worlds if he rejected such an offer, but Wu Hai still needed assurances.
"Master? 'Hmmph' I can work with that. You want to leave with me.. first tell me how, then sign a Soul Contract with me." Wu Hai wasn't stupid.
"For me to leave this place, you need only take my counterpart into your possession. These confining crystals block my exit even now." Mata pointing to a large rose colored stone in each direction, Wu Hai noticed what was laying in the center.
Another Gygax and a Red Compass that looked like the one he had in his possession already. Wu Hai took out his green Compass and a suffering spirit slowly drifted out from the compass' inner workings.
"WHAT THE HELL!" Wu Hai was furious in that moment.
Khan Ni called out to Wu Hai from above after hearing his outburst, but Wu Hai told her not to worry.
'A Guardian spirit had been with him? What about when he was facing the danger's he'd already been through.. Why was this spirit even in the compass to begin with?' Many questions were going through Prince Wu Hai's mind.
'If there was a spirit in my compass, does that mean that the Mata Turtle is in the other compass?' The word Counterpart came into his mind again... Wu Hai wanted to snatch the Compass, but it was guarded by the red stone pillars.
When the spirit from the Green compass materialized, it was an Osumare. A flamboyant one at that... Wu Hai had expected another Mata Spirit.
In comparison, he would have preferred another turtle. The spirits were a bit different, but emanated the same style of Auras. Wu Hai thought it was probably due to the Compasses they inhabited.
Then, the Green Compass Guardian chose to speak.
"Zao Wu Hai, its about time we met face to face, so to speak..." Osumare were the Guardian of healing, Fertility and Life. Erinle had been keeping Wu Hai safe for almost a decade without his knowledge.
"I am Erinle" Erinle said his name like it had depth to its context.
"What, is that suppose to mean something to me?" Wu Hai responded abruptly.
"I am the guardian spirit of that compass. I saw no reason to reveal myself till now, do you think there was only one compass?" Pushing his chest out a bit to show his pride, Erinle's image looked back at Wu Hai then at the Mata Turtle Spirit of the Red Compass.
"Please take these crystals around us and put them away, otherwise we'll both be stuck down here." Erinle gave Wu Hai leverage without even knowing it.
"Oh? HaHaHahh! Just a moment." Wu Hai climbed up the tunnel back to Khan Ni.
Explaining, Wu Hai had piqued Khan Ni's interest levels.
She told Jiao Jiao not to come down, and he was okay with that. He waited by the hole to protect their exit. Jiao Jiao was bathing in one of the refilled pools.
His own aura was soaring and his eyes flickered from time to time like he was going through a seizure.
Khan Ni came down with Wu Hai into the small room crevasse buried underneath the Minaur ruins, there was another ruin. She was compounded with disbelief when she saw the same kind of compass as the one Wu Hai had, and another Die sitting on a pedestal.
The Orb was just like the one as when they had fought the Undead.
"That Cavern was sealed, I was there. Isn't your destiny unique?" Khan Ni had been having questions about Wu Hai's abilities and the Gygax.
"So did I, But.. It doesn't surprise me that more would exist. Its a big world, finding the singular, one of just about anything would be near impossible." Wu Hai was intelligible about his argument but he left out a key part and that was that they now had another compass.
The dice had to be used by those who met the criteria. Wu Hai found that when he grabbed the dice, it seemed to recharge them. After a roll away from his hands, he always had to grab them himself to restore their ability. If the owner lost the die, they would still work.. at least one time. This way those who lost themselves had the possibility of redemption.
None ever made it back after having fallen.
Zao Wu Hai stood there a bit wondering a lot about his abilities after she mentioned it. He was wondering if the stories were bullshit. Wu Hai was a genuinely good child, but after going to Earth he wondered whether his soul fit the criteria. The Prince had been reincarnated, and while he had lived a moderate and pure life this go around, he had been a bit of a pervert, even an asshole to many of his colleagues over the years.
He was a far cry away from 'free from sin.' Professor Quanli Jigui would operate on pretense and self-righteousness, so why did his soul qualify to use such a Divine Object. Such power should be for the truly pure, and Wu Hai already had blood on his hands. It was all in self defense, but in the future.. he would never be merciful to the unworthy.
Before Wu Hai could cement his confusion, Khan Ni had already made her way for a closer inspection.
Jiao Jiao was lounging in the tubs above them, there was no concern over him. What concerned Khan Ni was what to do with her life. They had retrieved the vault that was suppose to have the World Tree seed in it, Jiao Jiao had gotten a humanoid body, she had even grown attached to Zhan and Rachael. Her reasoning for following Wu Hai had been obtained.
"Khan Ni, why don't you take the compass. I'd like to collect the die for myself." Wu Hai felt like he had a compromise.
"NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT! The spirit of the Compass in the chamber's rightful owner is the wielder of the Creators Crusher. I cannot allow this." The Mata Turtle Spirit protested heavily.
"WAHCHUNG WILL NOT BE CHALLENGED!"... AWHWHWHHH.. an eerie noise came from the Mata Turtle
Wu Hai looked at the Guardian spirits trapped in the Chamber.
It was refusing to go with Khan Ni.
Zao Wu Hai honestly didn't know what to think about the attitudes or the perspectives that the spirits had. After meeting them, he wasn't quite sure he wanted either of them.
"I wonder what would happen if we just took the items and left these two bozo's here." Wu Hai was furious at the hitchhiker who stood by and watched him struggle, and the spirit wouldn't listen to him.
"To be honest, The Compass' will still work. However, it is my Guidance that has led you through many situations." Erinle spoke up a bit before lowering his head in shame.
"Once, others knew of my existence and well.. It is better to pretend to be a Compass." Erinle tried compelling Wu Hai to understand why he had hidden, but it was not the answer the Prince was looking for.
Erinle had indeed been a big help as the compass but hadn't decided to help when Wu Hai's family was in danger. The only thing he'd done was guide him along the way.
Wahchung started biting at Erinle's illusory ankles. "TRAITOR"
Watching the Mata Dragon Turtle Spirit bite a Merman in the foot, even if they were illusions, was still rather comical to anyone who would have seen the scene.
Wahchung was annoyed and angry.
The Turtle Spirit was disappointed to have his secrets revealed without his permissions.
"Aye, if you want to take the compass, there is nothing I can do." Downtrodden, Wahchung looked at the compass and then back at Khan Ni.
When it finally focused on Khan Ni, Wahchung wasn't even upset. "An Elf? You're the one that wants to keep me?"
"My name is Khan Ni. If you act up I have no problem feeding you to Jiao Jiao, we'll see how much trouble you turn into after being digested." Khan Ni wasn't impressed, she wouldn't take chances either.
The Green Orb had tried to kill them, She had seen just how troublesome the Gygax, Compass, and Crusher had impacted Zao Wu Hai's life, friends and family.
"Bad eyes, Bad Eyes. I don't mind following an Elf. You're qualified to lift the Crusher, aren't you?" Wahchung showed his underbelly in an attempt to curry favor, It didn't go as he planned.
"No more questions from you for the time being. Explain the crystal formation and how to take it apart without destroying this place or its Jiao Jiao's stomach for you." Khan Ni had been reading books on natural formations.
As an aspiring alchemist it was important for her to remember places of particular or special affinities. Without the right environment there could be problems with medicine development or even a cruel twist of fate could happen, turning what would otherwise be a medicine into a poison.
"You have to remove the supply lines for the crystal formation. The Supply Line is the outside of the gemstone and they are embedded into the rock. To get to them you have to dig around them individually and sever all the connections before I can leave. If even one remains, I won't be able to leave." Wahchung wanted out.. he really didn't want to leave with someone other than the Crusher's owner.
"Wahchung" Erinle stared at the Turtle spirit.
There was a conviction that he lacked inside the beastly spirit. Now, he was also stuck in the chamber until freed. If he hadn't been sucked into the formation and somewhat forced into revealing himself Erinle probably would have remained hidden.
"I am sorry." Erinle kowtowed with its illusory body to the Turtle spirit.
"Whatever, you're not doing a very good job as a protector anyways!" Wahchung was starting to get personal.
"What? I kept leading him to more power and more opportunities. I didn't expect another compass though. Were you aware of Others?" Erinle asked Wahchung politely.
He really wanted an answer. For all of his existence, Erinle thought he was the only one of his kind.
"No. Although, now that we meet.. I'm not surprised that more than one of us can exist. You seem rather defective in your attention to defense and contribution to military action." Listening to the Spirits argue through the bedrock was extremely trying for Wu Hai's patience.
"WOULD YOU TWO SHUT THE HELL UP!" "WOULD YOU TWO SHUT THE HELL UP!" "WOULD YOU TWO SHUT THE HELL UP!" The Echo came as Wu Hai yelled at the feuding spirits .
For a moment, Prince Wu Hai couldn't even hear himself think as they were bickering back and forth.
'The Turtle made some good points, I suppose its important that I find out more information' Wu Hai continued taking apart the crystals and stored them.
His rings were getting full and it was more important to store rubble fast. The Crusher had always been a special existence, It was a storage device of massive proportions that fit inside of another storage space without conflict.
Wu Hai had done some thinking and rolled for Earth-Metal abilities and started plowing through more rubble. Making sure to support the bottom of the chamber so it didn't collapse on Khan Ni, Wu Hai had removed all the crystals except the last one near the entrance.
When he finally returned to the Entrance, Khan Ni was starting to have problem with the air quality.
Khan Ni asked Jiao Jiao to blow some more fresh air down into the chamber.
"Thank you Jiao Jiao!" Wu Hai called out as he heard another splashing noise.
"Okay, last crystal. Sign a Soul contract or it stays." Wu Hai was smarter than the average human.
"Why?" Erinle asked.
"Precisely because you would ask with a distasteful look on your face. You're creation was to serve the owner of the creators crusher according to Wahchung. I don't see a reason for him to lie to me, he's been.. well, considerably forthcoming with information. So, this story must be at least partly true. Since that's the case, tell me.. why-oh-why did you think you could have me do your bidding?" Wu Hai laid out a grand reply as he continued.
"I would have accepted you if you had introduced yourself when we first made contact, but to hide yourself for...'years.' That is just unacceptable. I needed help, knowledge, directions, or even someone to talk to other than my duck. Wahchung might not want to be attached to Khan Ni but he still listened intently to my order in the end. He recognized me as the owner of the creators crusher, his sole purpose for Existence.. Tell me why, why I should ever consider letting you leave, let alone allowing you to serve me so.. covertly. Your soul can only be attached to this compass right?" Wu Hai pulled out the compass.
"What happens if I smash it?" Wu Hai pulled the Crusher out and raised it above his head.
He looked like he would really destroy the Green Compass rather than allow himself to be manipulated. In a threatening motion, Wu Hai really thought about smashing the Compass if he got the wrong response. Another compass was sitting right there and Wahchung seemed a lot more interested in directly helping him.
"Please do not, I agree to the contract." Erinle started pleading for his existence.
"I get kicked around and mistreated. I hid because I'm tired of it. You were not the first to find me." Erinle finally submitted.
"I see." Wu Hai tapped his fingers and produced a contract.
Tossing the contract over, Wu Hai showed some deviousness.
"Tell me what else you've been hiding after you sign the soul contract. That way you can never lie to me.. Both of you." Flicking another contract over Wu Hai was now out patience.
Wu Hai knew the advantages he had just found. He wouldn't pass them to anyone, and he could always free the spirit from the contract.
"I just needed answers." After they accepted the soul contract, a pulling sensation was coming from the die.
Wu Hai stored the last crystal and walked up to the compass. Picking it up he passed it to Khan Ni.
"You'll be able to use it to find whatever you need, plus.. it can find me since I'll have its spirit." Wu Hai had thought of everything, except where to keep the spirit body of the turtle.
He could find something down the line. For now he wanted to look at the die.
Sweeping up the die Wu Hai examined it and noticed it was another form die. Just like the one he had been using to switch back and forth but the forms were completely different, except for Human.
"So.. I wonder how many other dice have been found? Hey, Grandpa Turtle. Do you know how many dice there are?" Wu Hai asked the still confused Wahchung.
"I would not know. But if another Compass exists, and you have dice. It would be safe to assume that other dice will continue to surface from time to time. It would take an extraordinary method to find one, let alone activate or know of its use. I don't think its common knowledge if you're asking me questions when you have so many." Wahchung let out another tidbit of useful information without knowing it.
"So, you know I have more dice on me. Do you know what dice I do have?" Wu Hai tested the turtle.
"Just that you have five, ah.. my mistake, now you have six." Wahchung was unforgiving to himself in his prostrated position.
Wu Hai picked up the turtle spirit and placed it on his knee.
The form die had six figures on it, just like the last one. Only the figures on this cube were much more Chaotic. The Six forms were Devil, Ghost, Vampire, Human, Phoenix, and Echinemon.
Echinemon were Dragon Eaters. They loved eating and hunting reptiles in all ways, the natural enemies of dragons. Their shape shifting abilities gave them clear advantages in their thievery. Greedier than any dragon could ever be, the Echinemon were hunted to extinction by the Dragons themselves during the great war.
Phoenix were a delicate species in a grand design. Many sorts of Phoenix could be found, Earth-Phoenix even Darkness and Metal Phoenixes. Their primary abilities all included flight and elemental affinity that included fire, no matter the overall composition of its nature. An Ice Phoenix would still have the ability to control fire, the same would be said about a Water Phoenix. The third ability that Phoenix's were know for was their uncanny desire to conquer leaving the fourth for last. Phoenix were always foretold to be able to rebirth after death.
Devils resembled the Gajah of Eastern India and Western China's Classic Sculptures. Known to be tricksters who surround and tempt those they encounter with empty promises that all lead to death. Zebedee had been one of the Gajah that managed to ride a reincarnated soul into Earth's past, giving the humans an era of Crucifixion and destroying potential. Had he remained in the east, he might have met his end at the hands of the Onmyoji.
The Vampires of the world were menacing plagues on the world, but every time they appeared to ravage the lands all sentient life would gang up on them much like when the demons or devils would come. Their otherwise eternal lives made them walking history books, complete with bias.
Ghosts pertained more to beings like Liches, they would only be able to control certain aspects of their power. The remainder of their power was often times self damaging or completely phantasmal. Incorporeal attacks were impossible to guard against much like soul attacks. Water ghosts could control the very blood in the bodies of their enemies, fire ghosts caused phantom flames to appear and bodies to dry in a radius. Earth ghosts were equally as terrifying. There is record of a metal ghost controlling all the swords in a kingdom and killing the soldiers that held them in a fit of revenge, extinguishing its own soul in the process.
"What a crazy die, it has Undead and Phoenix Isn't that just a little too OP. What would have happened if I didn't find this one?!" Wu Hai exclaimed in a bout of sadness.
"What does O-P mean." Khan Ni had heard the term but never asked.
"Over powered, Irregular.. I guess If I had to use words from this world it would be called Celestial, Heavenly.. Godly." Wu Hai elaborated to help illustrate for Khan Ni.
"I see. I don't see much value in the die, although a shapeshifting ability is useful, to be the natural enemy of dragons would mean that Jiao Jiao would hate me." Khan Ni always found something to reject outside power.
Her inner strength was inspiring.
"Lets get out of here." Sweeping up the chamber and grabbing the table that the compass sat on in the process, Wu Hai turned to leave.
The stand where the compass had sat was made of unique materials, it would prove useful to someone.
Returning to Jiao Jiao caught him off guard, Jiao Jiao had taken a nap from the boredom. In its defense, he had been in a thick solution of magical fluids. Wu Hai wouldn't let anything to go to waste, he put whatever he could find including the basin that Jiao Jiao seemed to like sleeping in, into his storage rings and weapon.
"I want out of this place, it was a graveyard long before we arrived four years ago." The way back to the surface had been reinforced, the exit was a lot faster than their original descent into the sinkhole.
