"Hi, my name is Elle"
--
The bell rang and I sat down next to the other freshman. Mr. V is the photography teacher, and the theatre teacher. He told us to grab a piece of paper and a pencil. He said we were going to do an activity to get to know each other. The rules of the game were simple, Mr. V would give us 4 things to choose from, and we would have to go to one pf the 4 corners of the room depending on our answer. once we all picked something, we would pick one person, then Mr. V would tell everyone what you should write about your partner. He started simple, by having us pick a corner depending on our grade. I saw the mystery man go with the seniors, so he IS a senior. I interviewed the other freshman and went on to pick the next corner. This happened 6 times until Mr. V announced "last round". He said pick a favorite sport, he said football, and pointed to a corner, basketball, soccer, and baseball. I am not a sports fan, but basketball has to be the better of the 4, so I headed to my corner. I then looked for someone to interview, I knew exactly who. Him. The intriguing, odd, senior was in the same group. I was getting up the courage to introduce myself when
"Hi, I'm Jack"
I couldn't believe he actually went up to ME!
"H-hi, I'm Elle"
He had a soothing, surprisingly deep voice, that calmed me and scared me all at once.
Mr. V told us to ask our partners about our favorite seasons
"So, what is your favorite season?" I asked
"Winter, you?"
"Hey same! Winter is by far my favorite."
we started chatting and we talked until we were forced to return to our seats.
Something about him, gave me butterflies. He gave me a weird feeling in me, and I knew I couldn't not try to become his friend, he seemed to interesting.
The rest of the day flew by, Algebra, AP psychology, English 9, Biology, History and Spanish 100. I thought about that mystery man, who was no longer a mystery. Jack.
The next day, I headed to Photography, and this time I was early, almost no one was there, and no sign of Jack. I stood around because I wanted to see if I could sit by him, and the moment I thought about asking him, the door opened. It was Jack, wearing yet another colorful button up shirt with matching pants and shoes and a new pair of FX goggles around his neck. Before I new it we were sitting in the front of the classroom together, I was happy, I had made a friend, and he was older! Little did I know, he wouldn't just be, my friend.
