Listening to the boring lecture regarding a time that happened a hundred years ago was always Brian's favorite class, well to nap that is. Brian was sitting in the middle back row seat not directly in front of the teacher's line of sight letting him take nice little power naps. He tried his absolute hardest not to fall asleep, while Mr. Ron talked about the happenings in the Civil War but his eyelids didn't obey his intent to stay awake. He promptly fell asleep.
Brian woke up, but he knew he was sleeping, "This must be the lucid dreaming I've heard about" he muttered. In all of his 18 years of living, he has never had a lucid dream. "'What suddenly brought this change?'" he thought but yet it was reverberating in the darkness of his dream. "Since this is a lucid dream, I can use this time to play god a little" he smirked thinking of all the possibilities.
Brian always wanted to be able to see name tags just like some MMORPG games with a title underneath it, so he willed his dream to transform into his history class. He then looked around the room containing 15 girls and 20 boys in a decently sized classroom that are currently not even moving at all, just like what he saw a few moments before his inevitable nap. He turned right to look at the seat next to him, at his crush and best friend, Alissa who was coincidentally looking at him.
That however wasn't what drew his attention but a pink name tag with [Best Friend] under the name sure did. He then thought to add a way to understand what a title meant, by mentally thinking of what it meant, it's meaning would be shown under the title.
He decided to try it out and thought, 'Best Friend?'. [A friend among friends, will be there for who she considers to be her friend no matter what]. He sighed, he had hoped to at least see what she thought of him there to give him a confidence boost to confess, even if it happened in his dream. He changed it once again to add how they feel towards himself, and when he looked at her again, he saw nothing has changed it was still a pink na-, he had a sudden epiphany, "Maybe the color of the name tag shows what they feel towards me".
This gave him more questions though, he never added it in the first place, "why would it show a pink name off the bat?" he pondered. "Most importantly what does pink mean in the first place?" does that mean she likes me? He didn't want to assume so, he once again made another change to let him understand what the colors meant following the same means as that of the titles.
Brian saw an array of colors with simple explanations, [Black meaning malice, Dark red hatred, Red mad, Orange annoyed, Grey neutral, White acquaintance, Any shade of green means friendly with the darker shades being more so, Blue is trust and Pink means in love]
Brian was overjoyed when he saw that Pink means in love, he didn't care even though he knew that it is just a dream but this gave him enough confidence to confess after class when they were gonna go to the park to hang out.
He decided to look at other people in his class and seeing many greens, albeit most being light green with the exception of the teacher, Mr. Ron with an orange-red name staring directly at Brian. He realized that Mr. Ron saw him as he was falling asleep and was mad about it. He knew at that point that Mr. Ron would not give me any mercy when the tests come next week.
Seeing that Brian also realized that the colors can be mixed and that the one present color on the name would show their most dominant emotion at that point of time.
Brian was extremely happy with what he had dreamed about and was trying to wake up now. He then felt like his brain was throbbing, which usually happens when he has major headaches.
He got his head up from his table and saw the same scene he did before but with the difference of people moving around and listening to Mr. Ron talking about the Civil War. He made sure to pinch himself just to check if he was still in his lucid dream. He felt a sharp pain from the place he pinched from then realized that it's stupid to check with pain cause he didn't know if he could feel pain in his dream beforehand. Brian looked to check if the names and titles were there and Brian was disappointed to see nothing but the sharp headache came suddenly and he had a random bout of tunnel vision.
