Yuki had her head held low as she listened to the gentle hum of the speeding car, her hands clenched on her knees. The blood splatter wiped with her leather glove, leaving a pink residue.
Although he'd been barely satisfied with her abilities, he was more impressed with her observational and quick analytical skills. However, no one could miss his frosty demeanour, clearly still pissed off that he didn't kill the bastard sooner. His eyes gleaming with menace, raising an eyebrow thinking about the possibility of her being asleep.
"Why did you kill the woman?" Asking her coldly, not thinking he would get a response. Siding off his tie and undid a couple buttons.
"Her work as a prostitute is only a front- she's a human trafficker of young children in child pornography." She explained quietly, taking deep breaths. "I couldn't kill her last time."
'So your saying... Victor' He thought lighting a cigarette angrily.
"That's right he would have been taken advantage of." Being met with a look of disgust as his dark blue eyes narrowed. His face saying if she continued, he'd slit her throat. Making her laugh in her head mentally.
'We'll see if you can try.'
The car mostly quiet except the sound a low growl, as no one spoke, the blue mood lighting created small shadows of their outlines in the mostly dark car.
The hotel and the club were located in different parts of the city, however the fact that the police were paid off they were able to go down secret alleyways and unauthorised streets quietly.
Nico wasn't aware of this because the GPS system which Yuki had designed, had the illegal function enabled. Pinpointing Brothels houses, drug dens as well as the territories of local gangs in New York.
Making him choke on a mouthful of water, as he fiddled with it waiting for them in the car. Like Google Maps but the illegal version.
'Shit! I really need to tell the boss about this' He'd thought as he laughed awkwardly at the user friendliness of the software.
Flailing back against the seat, Yuki was about to open the window when she looked back at the large window behind her narrowing her as she looked deeply at the tinted glass.
Clicking her teeth she stared at Alex quietly in frustration, twisting her arms and her hips to side before undoing her seatbelt.
Feeling her gaze on him he looked up to see her hesitant gaze, as if pondering if it was worth telling him or not.
"What?" He seethed through gritted teeth.
"We're being followed", she said whilst shrugging with a large yawn.
Clicking his teeth, he looked out the window frowning, noticing the inconspicuous black Range Rover following closely behind them, when they accelerated and moved lanes.
Looking at her exasperated, "Why were you so hesitant to inform me?"
Looking at him as if he was stupid she replied matter of factly, "Nico clearly knows what he's doing- he could easily out run them if he wanted."
Upon hearing the situation, Nico clenched his jaw with his vigilance as he clicked his teeth in annoyance. "I'm using the fucking GPS!...son of a bitch." Muttering under his breath.
Hearing this Yuki's body stiffened as she sat up straight on the edge of her seat, looking at Nico through the rear mirror with cold eyes. Shivering, he felt her eyes could penetrate his soul, equally mesmerising as they were deadly.
Licking her dry lips she closed her eyes tightly, roughly brushing back her hair. Her legs spread apart keeping her balance as she cracked the bones in her neck, taking a glance at Alex before cursing in Japanese.
"Incompetent bastards... fuck!"
Alex looked at Yuki, wanting to skin her alive for the disrespect as she bore her eyes into him. Making him breathless at how even more beautiful she looked when she was angry, his strange thoughts surprising him. Momentarily forgetting her true gender.
Wanting to open his mouth, she raised a hand against his mouth, her blade like eyes ceasing the movements of his lips.
"Listen you stupid white boy, son of a bitch from fuck knows-where. If you gonna blame anyone for this, it'd be your fault for not letting me drive. " Spreading her hand out for effect. "Clearly you don't know what the fuck you're doing, so why should I work for the French Mafia? It's like putting a first rate engine in an undriveable car."
Pointing at Nico clenching the joints in her fingers, "So get the fuck out the way."
Climbing over to the passenger seat, looking at him impatiently as she leaned a hand on her face. Not caring about their awkward and speechless faces, she realised Nico was waiting for his approval and gave him a cold smile.
Reaching out she gripped his ear between her thumb and forefinger, forcing his hands off the steering wheel with the pain and leaned forward to take control. Parking in the middle of a busy road she made him sit next to Alex, like a mother and her two teenage sons in the back as traffic blared.
Looking at the exterior mirror close to her, she smirked noticing the men who'd gotten out the back of their car with guns in hand. Holding down the accelerator, as she adjusted her seat and took a glance at the GPS. Changing the car settings to off road, a little excited at testing the professional race car features.
Pressing a button on the steering wheel, the circular ring separated itself into two and was locked in place underneath it. Revealing the traditional triangular shaped wheel similar to those found in F1 professional cars.
The dashboard suddenly opened up behind the wheel as a screen of light blue, showcasing the speed and miles per hour of the car. As well as other minor details such as a live feed of the back of the car. Additionally, the passenger seat folded in on itself as the drivers seat tilted upwards and down, forcing the driver to fully immerse themselves in the enjoyment of driving.
Seeing all of this Nico gasped and almost drooled, before Yuki hammered down on the accelerator making her baby purr. Catching the two men by surprise as they shifted away from the speeding car. Driving expertly and fast in between the cars like a shadow.
Counting the number of cars that were tailing them-four heavy duty, black Range Rovers she frowned muttering to herself. "Why are they so troublesome? So much work."
Alex who didn't say anything had a frosty demeanour, despite being clearly impressed by her vehicle. He found her too eccentric, wanting to kill her instead of allying with her.
Hearing her he didn't know whether to laugh or cry, feeling as if he'd let an animal out of its cage. Unsure of who had the leash around their neck.
'He's just doing whatever the hell he wants... I wonder how many sides this guy has.' Remembering his initial frivolousness and polite words, his flirty behaviour at the club and bloodthirsty aura.
Nobody who insults him as well as his family, gets away without some form of punishment. However, he figures the kid still held a grudge on him for not trusting him to drive his own car, so he placed it at the back of his mind. Finding his arrogance a little amusing, cute even.
Nico who was admiring the car, couldn't help but feel like a small hill in contrast to these big mountains with their intimidating auras. Biting his lips, trying to force himself to not get on the bad side of this big fish otherwise he wouldn't know how he died.
Yuki had no time to pander to their wild thoughts as she did big calculations in her head, figuring out that it would probably be best to get rid of the flies before heading back.
As if she was speaking to someone she suddenly spoke in Japanese, "Are they any abandoned parking lots or warehouses around here?"
The synthetic sound of a woman replied stiffly, taking them by surprise. "In 100miles towards the right you'll find a series of abandoned factories."
"Hana, close all windows and engage the babysitting protocol." She said without thinking.
"Yes Z. Is that all I can do for you?" She suddenly asked as the windows beside the two muscular men slid up smoothly. The grip on the seatbelt tightening slightly as they looked at each other with astonishment.
Narrowing her eyes as she thought, she raised an eyebrow in realisation. "Enable facial recognition."
"Yes."
Driving into a dusty old metal works warehouse, she scrutinised the barren pavement littered with weeds and empty snack wrappers and beer cans. Parking to the side, she returned the drivers seat to the original position so she could exit the car with ease.
"What are you doing?" Nico asked her.
"Swatting flies for the big boss", she replied nonchalantly plugging in her phone and slipping off her oversized blazer. "The cars bulletproof and you probably won't be able to get out anyway, so don't attempt it." Slipping out the car and banging the door shut, before they could utter a word in response.
