A couple of hours pass by and the children's party turns into one for the adults. Exactly what I knew would happen.
I might have come out of my shell over the years but I am not a fan of parties. I am not a fan of drinking, and the whole scene but Darrien on the other hand, loves this kind of attention and he loves having fun.
I get that and I love him for it all.
"Come on, dance with me,'' Darrien comes over to me and grabs my hands and pulls me off the chair. I groan loudly because I don't want to dance right now.
Beau is still outside with us but Alanis went about a couple of hours ago. It is almost ten in the night and I am exhausted. "No, I am tired,'' I beg him as he presses his body to mine. The music is still loud but I wish that we could just go back to the house now."
