Badger leads me into the large dining room. All the lights are on, there is a bright chandelier above the middle of the table. Everyone is seated and waiting patiently for us. I take one last look at the door because I don't know what this is about and I can already tell that it can't be good.
This is a dinner and everyone looks so eager for me to be here. It seems like this dinner is for me but that is what confuses me the most. Why are they all looking at me like I am some piece of meat? There are two empty seats on the table. One that I know is for Badger and the other one that I assume is for me. Where is Gyles's seat?
I mean this party was for the two of us and I know he is busy downstairs but why will she just assume that he wouldn't come.
