"We don't need anyone to come with us. I think this is something we need to do on our own,'' I tell Beau because I don't want to drag anyone else into this mess. I know that Beau is just trying to be a leader to the pack but I don't want to give in to his demands.
"I think it would be a good idea to get some help. You don't have to always shoulder everything on your own,'' he breathes into the phone. His voice is comforting and I completely believe him right now but I am also firm on what I want and I don't want anyone else dragged into this.

He has to believe me; I have the most to lose if anything happens to them. They are my lifeline and I have to protect them. I will make sure of that.
