I leave Gyles and Rex with promised that I hope I can keep but am not sure if I will. I promised to come back. I promised to protect them and get them back home. These all seem plausible but I know they will be difficult. Right now I am playing a dangerous game that I don't know if I will be able to get out of. The fact that I am following Major to this mysterious person that is going to help me is scaring me so much that I don't even know what to think about it. The elders would not want me to use dark magic to eliminate dark magic. In their eyes, it is redundant and not the right call. I already know what they will say when they find out but all I care about it Gyles and Rex.
I am in front of the house as Mage parks his car and gets down from it "You ready?'' he asks me with a faint smile. There is nothing to smile about but he seems excited to be doing this. I don't know why.
