I open my eyes to sounds in the bathroom.
Jumping off the bed, I see that Gyles is the only one on his side. He is still sleeping soundly. My mind goes to Rex because right now, he is not in the right frame of mind and the fact that I can't sense anything from him scares me terribly. The only thing I have is my willed sense. The part of me that makes me less vulnerable to the world and now it seems like there is something blocking my abilities from reading him.
I walk over to the door of the bathroom and knock on it gently. I don't want him to think I don't trust him in there. Yeah, he is not himself right now but he is there. He might not be completely okay but from his eyes, I know he is still there.
"Rex,'' I call his name gently. I hear the rummaging in the bathroom and when I turn the handle, I realize that the door is locked "Are you okay in there?'' I ask because now I am getting worried.
