Blue.
I try to walk into the house quietly but I am unsuccessful. Once I get in the front door, Jules is waiting for me in the living room. I don't know why he feels the need to make sure I come back every night. He has made it a habit.
I stop "Oh, hey,'' I manage at the same time scratching the back of my neck nervously. He stands up from the couch and walks over to me.
"Where did you go?'' he asks worriedly.
The fact that he just met me should give him a chance to chill. I have been doing fine on my own. He hasn't really been in my life all this while and I know he is trying to make up for it but I am not a kid. I am old enough to go out on my own at night.
"I just went for a walk,'' I tell him nonchalantly. It is not like I am lying. Sure, I bumped into Gyles and it made me happy that I went for that walk in the first place. I didn't even expect to see him there. It was almost like those forces keep pulling us back together.
