It took quite some time, whining and I also had to slip some crying potions in Draco's snacks. But all my hard work did pay off.
I did all of this with my only motive being, to not go back to England via Apparition. Dad had to spend some Galleons..... well A lot of Galleons. We had to forge passports and all that grueling work.
I asked Dad why can't we just work with magic and the information that was revealed to me was... astounding and gobsmacking to say the least. It seems that there are certain exceptions to the Statue Of Secrecy that Global Wizarding Authority (AN: I don't know the correct name, comment if u know) goes by.
The Leaders of all the countries in the United Nations are privy to the Magical world IF the leader is a muggle, s/he would be obliviated after leaving the post.
Now since the leaders are aware, and magical security is in place. Then if anyone were to just meander there way through borders, they could very well be considered terrorists... magical ones even.
This information was eye-opening. It gave me the complete sense that it is an actual word that I am residing in and the things that I saw in the movies were not all that there is to it.
However, when we were coming back Grandpa gave me a book on a guide to improving my fashion sense (AN: I need this IRL) and for Draco, It was a book that mentioned some theories that were neither proved to be wrong but not true either. Magical Paradoxes to be exact. He also introduced us to the spell "Reparo" IT repairs stuff. We practiced it on the flight and got the hang of it
Interestingly enough, this book also mentioned that humans are capable of using magic like Magical Beings. But if they are then what is the difference between humans and them. It was an interesting book, to be honest.
Now that I am back from my oh-so-good vacation. I am planning to focus on Earning a little money before. Now if you think that I will be making some Magical iPhone or some shit than you are sorely mistaken.
That is just too much work for too little Profit. It will give me a lot of sway in the Magical world. However, that political power comes with a price. I will have to take sides. I am all for The Light side, but I don't know the Dumbledore here. Hence, I will earn money through the muggle world. Malfoy Family is touted to be as one of the wealthiest wizarding Family however I cannot just go and ask Dad to give me 100,000 Galleons to invest.
So, my visit to France also played a major part in my plans of "GET RICH QUICK". France has a museum that contains one of the most expensive paintings. Namely, MONA LISA. I stole that.
Now I myself did not, but wizards being wizards did not account for the Magical beings (my trusty house-elf molly to be exact) infiltrating their premises. This point also proves that Voldemort was also just like purebloods even while being a muggle..... biased and self-important.
Now what I did with the painting was to sell it in an underground luxury auction. The buyer was anonymous but with the help of my trusted accomplice, I easily found out, It was the richest man in 1980. Yoshikai Tsutsumi.
He and I had a little chat. I 'politely' convinced him to work for me in the property market of the world. After all, I need money fast and long term investments like in APPLE And Microsoft or even the M&T Bank will prove detrimental as I would most likely leave from HP world before I turn 17.
A tit-bit of information I gathered while researching Mona Lisa was the paints consisting the painting have some unicorn blood and a single phoenix tear in it. This painting could be a live saver if you eat it with mortally endangering injuries. Unfortunately, I needed the money.
The transaction with Toshiaki over the painting still stood. I earned 265 million dollars whereas he got alife saving Magical token for a considerably cheap price as phoenix tears are not that widespread as you would think.
An experienced businessman wouldn't really be frightened by a child even if he seems to be able to use demonic arts. What got his attention was the healing property of the painting and a guarantee to cure any and all disease as long as he works for me.
I showed him some normal water and introduced it's phoenix tear, stabbed myself then drank the water. Rest was done by my healing and there you have it. a completely convinced and happy billionaire. It wasn't really that easy though, I had to stab him too and heal it.
He felt much happier and I felt more in control. I feel like I am going down the path of a black-bellied boss. I had to keep in mind to not drop any of his or my blood on the floor though. We don't want any evidence after all.
What I did with my hard-earned money was to take full advantage of the 1987 Stock Market crash (AN: IT IS REAL. I googled it ;D) I spent my 200 million dollars on the stock market, It felt like playing a clicker game, to be honest.
The thrill was just as amazing as bungee jumping or one-wheeling for the first time.
The rest 65 million dollars was spent on a country by the name of Liechtenstein. This country runs a special service of renting itself. Kind of like prostitution but with a country. I rented it for the next 10 years as a safe house.
This all took me around the end of 1987. Now all that is left is to wait for all the preparations that I have done.
It is gonna be 2 long grueling years with my only source of comfort and solace being the occasional meetings with Fleur in Terra.
