Lai Zhiqiang had been on non-stop damage control since the news broke. He felt very bad seeing his past hurt Liu Qiao Qiao and wanted to put an end to the whole mess.
The last thing he wanted was for Liu Qiao Qiao to discover his complicated relationship with Pei Shanshan. To prevent that from ever happening Lai Zhiqiang arranged a meeting with Pei Shanshan. He suspected that this was her doing and hoped to cut it in the bud before everything blows up.
Lai Zhiqiang went down to the lobby and got into the waiting car, his assistant Luo Lei started the engine and drove off. Thirty-five minutes later, they arrived at Pei Shanshan's villa outside the city.
He had called while on the way and informed her that he would be visiting her. Pei Shanshan's assistant stood just outside the gates to escort him into the community. She led him to the door then stepped out to give them some privacy.
