Chereads / The Dissident Demon / Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

"Well, even if I can't have your body, I will at least take your soul. Even without your abilities, your soul and internal Alm are strong enough to be absorbed." The Demon said unwillingly with a disturbing smile on his face. Amil was struggling to breathe and realized he did not have much time left. He forcefully tried to move his legs and push away from the spike but was unable to muster up enough strength. With a pained look on his face, he coughed once again.

'Fuck! I wasn't able to save him… I was too weak… What can I do in this situation? What should I do in this situation?' Amil began to think, but he wasn't expecting the demon to continue his attack.

The demon recalled the shark blade and all the spikes began to sink back into a blade. The spike that impaled Amil in the stomach was violently pulled out and left a fist sized hole in his stomach with blood gushing out. Amil felt like he had just gotten impaled again and began to fall to his knees. But the Demon did not stop there.

He quickly moved towards Amil, grabbed him by the neck and slowly raised him. "Did you think this was over? You're going to pay for what you did. You haven't suffered enough."

Amil's right arm was making a pool of blood on the ground and his stomach began to paint his clothes red. 'What can I do…?' Even through all the pain, and all the anxiety he was feeling, Amil was still trying to think of a way to save his brother. 'Alm restrictions… techniques… deals…' His thoughts were racing against time. He knew he was going to die soon and tried to come up with a way to save his brother in his current state.

While looking up, Amil coughed once more and blood began running out of his mouth and down his neck. "Hey… you damn ugly fairy… I'll make a deal with you and give you my techniques and anything else you want. In exchange… you fix my brother's trauma and leave his body… How's that sound?"

With a baffled expression, the demon opened his light-yellow eyes widely and looked at the dying boy with an excited smile. As a demon, he could not stay in this world without making a deal with a living being. Demonic beings formed contracts with living beings in order to increase their power by absorbing knowledge, vitality, and Alm quality. Summoning a demonic being into the world was not something that could be done through a ritual. A lot of requirements had to be met. A tremendous amount of blood, death, negative emotions, and most importantly, a host who met all these requirements. Even if the deal was bad, the demon would gain something as humans did not live forever, so refusing is something a demon would never do. With everything being met, the demon spoke with a devilish glee, "State your terms before you die, pitiful human."

With a trembling body and shaking eyes, Amil started to speak with a tranquil smile. "You will erase his trauma, leave his body, and become his sword." Even though his eyes were shaking, he only stared at the sword in his brother's hand. 'I'm sorry for not being able to protect you. This is the best I can do. But I hope you can leave this barren land and live a peaceful life. Don't trust this demon… but believe in his power.' As his eyelids became heavier, he heard the demon speak one last time.

"Hahahaha! Two souls in one go! I agree to your terms, Amil Rocnar." A black wind was released and began expanding in all directions and began to absorb all the Alm around them. The ground around them started to wither, cracks appeared all around them as if it was being sucked up. The polluted river started to evaporate, and the rocks started to dissolve. With a massive explosion, a huge crater was formed.

The first anomaly was created. The first wielder of two incompatible natures. The first to strike fear into all kingdoms. The one whom changed and set new rules. The dissident demon.
