"Are you okay now?" Aurora asked Crystal after she drink a glass of water. She is still panting and her body is shaking from the dream. It was so vivid, so real. Her body can still feel the fear and the shock.
"Just give me a few sec and I'll be fine."Crystal took a few deep breathes and calm her nerves.
"Au, why am I dreaming? We are not supposed to have dreams. We are nymphs and only humans are supposed to have dreams. Why do I have dreams?" Crystal massage her temple. Her dreams is making her head ache,
"I don't know Crystal. Yes, we are not supposed to have dreams. But we could have visions. Visions of the past or of the future." Aurora calmly answered her. She nodded at Aurora. After all, Aurora is not only her friend. She is also considered her senior. She knows things about nymphs more than her. Aurora had been a nymph since the beginning of time while Crystal is considered newborn.
Yes, maybe she is having visions and not dreams but what are those visions? She cant understand. Why most of her visions are the same or related or a continuation of the other visions. Who are those people in her vision? Who is Lucent? She heaved a sigh.
"It's almost time Crys. We should get going." Aurora interrupted her thoughts. She looked at her friends who is standing beside the window at looking at the horizon. Looking at a place where the light and the dark collides. The origin of the dawn.
Crystal stood up from her bed and followed Aurora out of their house. Aurora became her guide the moment she was born. She taught her how to be a nymph and her lively nature is so contagious. Eventually they become friends and inseparable.
They walked towards the valley and she is still amazed as she looked at every grass that comes to life whenever Au's presence is felt. The dews are like floating crystals that surrounds them and falls on the grass, flowers and plants as they passed.
She can hear the giggling of the other nymphs as they do their own duties happily. The valley is a happy place. Nymphs are lively creature who have never seen darkness.
Once they reach their destination she can't help but be awed at the wonder as she looked at the two separate worlds. One enveloped with darkness while the other side is full of life. flowers are blooming, trees are full of fruits, birds are chirping and the place have never seen darkness.
Humans may call this place other dimension, multiverse, or whatever they want to call it. We simply call it, Oisa. The place of the deities.
There seems to be an invisible clear glass between the two worlds. That invisible glass which they need to pass in order to bring light to the human world.
Aurora smiled at Crystal once they reached the barrier. They waved at each other and went their separate way. Aurora will be heading to the city and she will be heading to the mountains. Every path that they will passed will be illuminated by gentle lights, plants will be covered with dew, and the sky will reflect beauty of different shades. Their entrance to the humanworld signifies the start of dawn, and soon daylight will come.
Dawn is a daily occurrence in the human world but the most beautiful one. However humans tend to neglect such occurrence.
Crystal smiled as she walked down the valley and the first light of dawn arrived. She inhaled deeply and smell the cold fresh air that is gently blowing on her hair as she looked up at the horizon. What a beautiful thing. She will never get tired looking at it. Every dawn is different from the other one Because every nymph of dawn is different. No one is the same.
Just now, the horizon is a mixture of pink, purple and blue. The faint light coming from the sun which is about to come out make the whole scene seems magical, alluring and ethereal. She smiled and somehow felt proud of herself. Look, she did all that.
She continued walking until she reach her favorite place. It is a hidden stream with waterfalls beside it. Although it is the world of the humans, it is well hidden and as as far as she can remember, no human have yet set foot on it. The orchids of different varieties hangs on the branches and trunks of the trees the circled the stream. They cascade like curtains around it.
The first time she saw the place, she instantly fell in love with it and she made sure to visit the place everyday.
However as she approach the entrance of the stream she felt something awry. She felt an aura. Not an aura of a nymph or of any other creature but an aura of a human. She went inside the hidden stream and looked around. Her eyes focused on a big rock beside the waterfalls and there she saw him. Standing on that big rock and looking at around place as if he owns it. He is holding a huge camera and taking shots everywhere.
She choose to ignore him despite the irritation building up inside her. Much as she doesn't want to share this place, this is still the human world. He could be one of the hikers of this mountain.
She walked towards the stream to start her bath. After all, the human could not see her so it isn't a big deal at all. She started her swim and enjoyed the water immensely and even went beside the rock where the human is standing. He is looking at her but she is sure that he cant see her.
She looked at him to check him out when he smiled and to her shock he said,
"Hi!"
