Chapter 204 - [Chapter 202] Entitled Kid

We stay silent as we walk through the streets, the light from the colorful crystals raining down on us. After about 10 minutes, she asks me, "So I heard you were powerful? Able to...deal with all those assassins that can take out elites is no easy task." She paused in between, probably choosing her words carefully.

I nod as my demonic voice replies, scaring some of the people walking past.

"Yeah, I couldn't watch those girls be murdered for no reason, I mean one that I didn't know. But one of those bastards tried to shank me in the back so I had made my decision firmly."

She stares at me from under her hood, her eyes squinting at me. "That's odd. No one kills for fun unless they are mentally insane. What was your real reason?"

I glance at her as I speak in a softer tone, "What other reason does there need to be? There is a lack of kind people in this world, but that doesn't mean there is none."

She immediately responds, "But those that usually refer to themselves as kind are either egotistical or have an alternative goal."

I smile as I ask, "Who said I was a nice guy? I only made a rational decision."

She raises her hand as she goes to say something, but stops for a moment. A few seconds later, she lays her hand to rest at her side.

'Guess his morals are...ok from what I have heard.'

We continue walking for a little while longer before arriving in front of the massive houses of the noble district. The castle rests within the large noble area, meaning we had to cross it in order to enter the castle. We passed many nobles as we walked through the neighborhood, each one covered in glamorous clothes that mimic plant life, mimicking the one thing I can assume the majority haven't seen. Some of the nobles glance at us silently while others look at us with disgust, most likely assuming we are common folk entering their "priceless lifestyle".

Eventually, an entitled teen my age walkes up to us and yells out of nowhere, grabbing the passerby's attention, "Get out of our area you commoner trash! You have no right being here!"

I glance behind him and see a group of guys and girls, wearing similar clothes while snickering. But that's when I notice that they aren't clothes, they are uniforms. These uniforms have an intricate symbol on the right chest area, signifying they are school students.

'Trying to impress your friends? Alright, my turn.' The kid's eyes go wide as I release killing intent directed at him solely. It would be hard to do this in combat but I'm not in combat which makes this much easier.

The kid's eyes go wide in terror as he falls to his knees, his strength leaking from his soul. He gasps for air under the mass of pressure, gripping his throat in agony. He tries to scream, but no sound escapes his throat. His mind begins to break down as images of his death appear before his eyes, stabbing, murder, poison, burning, every single one.

A wet spot drenches his pants as the color from his brown scaled face fades away. I walk forward before crouching in front of him, my eyes staring dead into his.

"Before you make fun of someone for what they wear or look like, be sure you won't look like an idiot after you smooth brained prokaryote." I stand back up as I immediately withdraw my blood lust, the Royal Guard and the kid's friends staring at me in shock. The kid shivers as he grabs his shoulders, slowly rocking back and fourth in mental agony.

I tap the Royal Guard on the shoulder, breaking her from her stupor. She looks up at me with a tinge of fear in her eyes, but quickly looks away and walks over to the kid, her mind racing.

'Who the hell is this man? I need to keep a closer eye on him if he is going to do this to regular people and even kids!' She crouches down and gently grabs the kid's shoulder, but the kid ignores her as he continues to rock back and fourth on the sidewalk, as if she didn't exist in the first place.

'That amount of bloodlust was...pathetically weak, how did this kid have that much of a breakdown?!'

Due to Kurayami's extensive control, she was only able to feel the aura of his bloodlust. Kurayami has never been able to control his bloodlust very well, but he has gained control over it to an extent thanks to his S rank skills.

The kid's friends finally snap from their trance of shock and hurriedly rush up to their friend, one of them bolting down the sidewalk and yelling for help.

The Royal Guard sighs as she stands up, grabbing my arm and calmly walking away. I glance at the kid as I get dragged behind her. I think it is slightly odd how she suddenly changed, but she begins to explain her reaction to the situation as we get farther from the group.

"I must get you to the queen, besides, the kid is just in shock. The worst case scenario is PTSD which his parents can afford therapy for...but why and how the hell did you do that?!"

I shrug, "Me and entitled nobles have never gotten along, I...." I trail off as I contemplate what I am going to say. She glances at me expectantly as the castle grows closer in view.

"I have destroyed armies, many of them. Nobles who try to put their lives above everyone else's because they are "noble" and have more money are ridiculous. Money doesn't put a price on people and who they are. What determines a person's worth is their personality, and most of the noble personalities I have met are worth as much as the air around us."

She slows down as her a slight tinge of shock appears from her eyes, but she quickly looks away to try and hide it, gently tracing the gate in front of us. "We're here."
