As the carts enter, people look over as various looks cover their face. Excitement, fear, shock, but an overwhelming amount of awe covers these emotions in a veil, unseen unless focused on.
I leap off the wall as I follow beside the train, watching as the seemingly infinite line of carts enters. After about a minute, I finally see the end of the cart trail as it weaves out of the mountains. As the last one enters, I close the gate as I go over my calculations.
'I saw at least 40 carts, and let's assume there are about 20 guards with each cart. That should be 800 guards, why would they need so many to guard these carts?' I ask myself as I see the carts follow the roads from the gateway to the front of my house. I had some plain dirt pathways created for now so we don't have to worry about flowers being trampled, plus, once all the dirt outlines have been created, I can create paved roads all across my kingdom.
I arrive at my house within seconds as I watch the first Dragonborn exit her cart. She is wearing a large and elegant dress as her snout gazes across my kingdom. Suddenly, a little boy comes bolting out of the cart as he runs over to a large empty part of flowers. He takes in a deep breath as he smiles happily, seemingly enjoying the smell of the flowers. With a quick snap of a fan the woman is holding, the little boy quickly rushes back to her side with a slightly disappointed expression.
She walks up onto my porch as she asks in a mature yet obnoxious tone, "So where is this treaty meeting taking place? It better not be out here in this nature infested pigsty or else I might as well hold it in my cart."
The kid quietly complains, "I would rather hold it out here, it is nice."
I try to stay calm as I take a deep breath, no matter how much I want to decapitate her for using such harsh words.
"Please don't refer to our kingdom in such a way...please follow a guard as he will take you into the room where the meeting shall be held."
She looks taken aback and is about to say something, but whatever she says is quickly caught in her throat as a black armored guard appears from my home.
He looks at her with his domineering sight as he turns around and begins walking in. She quickly follows as one of her guards appears by her side, nodding towards me. This type of occurrence continues to happen as I get more and more irritated, but I stay rational as they usually have a kid with them.
But then I hear a familiar voice talk cheerily, bringing a wave of relief over me. I was on the verge of murdering some nobles, granted a few were actually respectful which is why I haven't hurt any yet. This along with the child factor, 'Speaking of, why does everyone have a kid with them? Is it take you kid to work day today?!'
"Hey there Kurayami? How have you been?" Asks Ochil as he walks jollily towards me.
I smile as he approaches, noticing Elizabeth behind him. She is wearing a large purple dress with black gems sprinkled across it, but I can already tell she has her dagger on her. As I look her over, I can sense the two souls, linked together by that single string. But her soul is still large, causing the smaller soul to be seemingly dwarfed by its size.
I shake my head as I come back to reality, "It's nice to see you Ochil-" I am interrupted as he pulls me into a bear hug, seemingly not caring for the staring eyes from the people.
"I have been waiting for this day, well this or you taking over another kingdom." He speaks as a smile rests on his face.
He usually treats me as his relative which I don't mind but he still treats me with respect in many manners. Also, apparently being a "god" doesn't effect his view of me which is a relief.
Since the king is the last one, all three of us enter my house as I close the metal door behind me, 2 shadow guards standing on the porch as they keep a watchful eye.
We walk down the hall and take a turn, entering the living room. Ochil looks around the room with wide eyes, seeing things that he couldn't even imagine the use of. As we continued walking through the kitchen, we enter the large warehouse as Ochil gasps.
Liz has seen all these things before so she gazes across the room nonchalantly, showing her more relaxed self. I even notice that some of the nobles have stopped and are looking around at the large machinery, luckily most of them being the few that treated me kindly. There are a few others that weren't but I have my turrets keeping a silent view on them.
One of the nicer nobles, a red Dragonborn, approaches Ochil as the noble's son follows behind with wide eyes.
"Ochil?! Do you see some of these creations? They are incredible! I need to speak to the artificer that made these things and ask if he will tutor my son!" Says the noble in awe and shock. He looks over at me as he finally notices that I am standing here beside Ochil as he bows his head and asks, "Sorry for my rudeness but who are you? I am the third count of the Fang Kingdom, Jasin, and this is my son." He waves his hand at his son who bows to me.
I smile a toothy grin at them both, 'Respect is one of the many things I admire.' I make a mental note of this as I bow back, "Nice to meet you both, I am Kurayami, the creator of these items."
His eyes go wide as he looks my muscular figure up and down, noticing I don't look like the usual short and stout creator. I can already tell what he is thinking as I get an idea to prove so.
'Get ready for a show.'
