I look at Dreag with a shocked look, there are only 6 Divine Beasts and how did he become one? Out of everyone in the world, it had to be the one person I dislike the most.
"Are you sure?" I whisper to him as I glance over the the tabaxi, his fur gleaming in the light.
Dreag nods, "I am positive, these feathers appear only for the griffin Divine Beast and he is a cat! If he was a bird related species then I could just call it coincidence, but he is a cat!"
I nod, understanding his perspective of the situation. I think for a moment before walking towards one of the few empty spots in the warehouse. I hold out my hand, 'Absolute Shadow.'
The shadows around me jump to life as they crawl towards where I am standing, the large parts clanging onto the ground as the frame rests in front of me. It is a simple frame that creates an empty cube in front of me, the black wisps of smoke floating away.
I pick up the energetic blob from my head as I simply say, "Have fun." He jumps at the piles of large parts excitedly as he immediately begins to assemble them, his skill at figuring out the structure to an insane degree.
It takes mere minutes for the structure to be finished as it stands before me, the once empty cube now whole.
'The isolation chamber. Originally used for training people's minds in the military, it can suit our purpose for now.' I think as I gaze at the large box.
I walk forward as I give it a soul using Soul Manipulation, white veins sprawling across it's black surface. I turn to look at Vitruvius as I simply say, "Get in."
"Why?" He asks while nervously laughing.
I stare at him as I flick gold coin into the chamber. He resists as he looks away, "I'm not doing it until you tell me why."
Erika rolls her eyes as she says, "If you do what they ask, I'll do more than make dinner tonight. His eyes gleam as he bolts in, the temptation of a gold coin and the rare forbidden deal too much to bear.
I press a button as the black door slides shut with a clang. I call Dreag over as I explain to him that whenever he presses this button and speaks, his voice can be heard inside the box. He nods firmly as he presses the button and begins to speak.
"We put you in this room because your body is going to go through some changes at a rapid speed." I suddenly hear a voice behind me.
"And why is my body going to do that?" I swiftly turn around but see nothing.
'I swear that was Vitruvius's voice...' I wonder as I look around. Erika notices my confusion and begins to explain. "His no-magic is like an illusion magic. He can make his voice appear in different places and mess with people's senses if they aren't strong enough."
I nod as I realize he is just using this to communicate. I suddenly hear his voice again, this time in seeming distress. "This cube tastes disgusting! Why didn't you flavor it?!"
"..." We all sit there in silence as disbelief covers our faces.
'Did he just....lick the wall?' I wonder as I stare at the cube. I hear his voice again as it's in no less distress, "The door doesn't taste any better!"
Dreag clenches his fist as he tells into the microphone, "Your the griffin Divine Beast! Act like it!"
Nothing happens as silence echoes within the room, the only sounds coming from outside. Dreag's face darkens as he steps back, "I didn't expect him to accept it so quickly, the transformation has begun."
I take in a deep breath as I wait for something to happen, but after 30 minutes, nothing is still happening. After an hour of waiting, I hear his voice.
"Asshole, that fucking hurt." I smirk as I click the button to open the door. The inside looks horrifying as blood drips from the ceiling, walls, and even the doorway.
'It's as if someone exploded, good thing I have seen even worse horrors during my flashbacks or else I would probably vomit.' I think as I look at the scene that's even worse than horror movies.
I hear sloshing steps as blood splatters out of the doorway. And out walks a tabaxi with feathers covering his arms and back, soaked with blood. His clothes are torn to shreds, the only surviving piece miraculously being his underwear and bag.
He looks around as he simply says, as if he just was on a walk. "That room tasted terrible, do you have a hose by chance?"
I about facepalm as I point towards the bathroom at the other end of the warehouse, "No, but I have a shower."
"Thanks." He says as walks towards the bathroom, his feet slapping bloody paw prints along the way.
I shake my head as I walk back into my living room to grab the mop, blood in the warehouse being a common occurrence with me around. 'Some machines go haywire so I had to make this incase that happens.' I think as I remember the time a machine twisted my arm off. It hurt horribly, but I have learned from my mistakes.
I quickly clean up the blood trail as the tabaxi enters the bathroom, causing me to remember that I will have to clean the bathroom when he is done.
I sigh as I continue to clean, taking a few minutes to do so. After 10 minutes, the tabaxi walks out cloth-less, causing me to jump slightly.
"Do you have any clothes? Mine were kinda destroyed." He asks as he tilts his head.
I nod as I use Absolute Shadow to conjure up a set of clothes, tossing them to him. He swiftly puts them on as he smiles, "These fit nice, I'm keeping them."
I sigh as I look at the bloody floor of the bathroom. 'And I still have to clean that blood bath of a cube.' I inwardly grumble.
