I walk over to the Nightmare suit and open up the chassis, preparing to fix the wiring. 'The chassis was fixed by my nano bots in the shop, I have to fix the wiring myself though since I don't want a mistake made. I grab a black rectangle backpack from the floor as I put it on and activate the clips.
The edges of the black rectangle are curved and a plethora of glowing buttons and symbols cover the backpack. I click a few in quick succession as a curved rod and a thick wire pop out from the bottom, the wire being a lighter gray while the rod is the same color as the pack. I hold out my hand as the famous thought enters my head once again, 'Absolute Shadow.'
The shadows around me jump to life as jumble of parts appears in my hands. I hold up my hand to Slime Winter who mews happily before taking in the small parts. A minute goes by as I suddenly hear him spit the finished product out, causing me to quickly reach out and grab it. They look steampunk in origins as rivets cover the purple outer rims, the only odd thing is they miss lenses.
I quickly put them on and use 'Soul Manipulation' to insert one into the goggles. I hit one of the rivets which causes the inside of the goggles to glow with a black color. A moment later, a black screen covers my vision as a battery bar appears in the top right corner.
The metal bar's tip glows with a bright orange as I think again, 'Absolute Shadow.' In my left hand, a cup of black metal appears in my hand. I put the orange bar inside as the metal melts, covering the tip. 'Time to begin repairs.' I think as I begin saudering, Dreag watching silently.
After about 2 hours, I finally finish as I swipe the sweat off of my brow. 'I can do many things, but saudering requires so much focus since I don't want to burn the wires or microchips inside. If I did that, I would have to replace the parts entirely which would probably make me cry since I would have to dismantle the entire thing.'
I remove the goggles and place them on my saudering pack which I place on the ground beside the mech. I look over the mech which is practically brand new, it's brand new matte black exterior bathing in the light. As I look over it, I nod and hold out my hand. The machine glows with life as it begins to shift, within seconds becoming a black sphere the size of a baseball. White veins cover it as I grab it and, with a wave of my hand, store it in my golden ring.
I turn around and see Dreag walking around, looking at the mechanical limbs, weapons, and armor hanging from the ceiling with a stern look. 'Dreag is back to being calm and collected again. Dreag is still Dreag.'
I walk over to his side nonchalantly as he asks, without even looking at me, "Why do you have all this stuff, some I can't even understand, hanging everywhere from chains? Why haven't you sold them? You could of made a monopoly in the gear market with this gear!"
"I haven't sold them as most of these are either failed tests or designs I might use later." I respond firmly.
He points at a special piece of gear that sticks out from the rest as it's a full set of armor instead of pieces. I glance at it before doing a double take. "I had forgotten about that!" I exclaim as I walk up to it excitedly.
I stand in front of the large piece of armor, its sharp, black exterior shining in the light. It was created with the same design of knight armor, the helmet a combination with a gas mask and the usual knight helmet. It's exterior is a dark gray, the lenses resting within pitch black in color.
"This is a form of...power armor you could call it. It has a mechanical frame inside which can give the user enhanced strength, speed, and dexterity. The entire structure is air conditioned and has a soft padding inside. The lenses in the helmet seem pitch black but you can actually see as clear as day with a custom night vision transfer I added. It also has a headlamp and a screen on the inside to indicate the power level and if any of the parts are damaged." I say in seemingly one breath, silently shocking Dreag.
He takes a moment as he processes what I said before asking, "Are there any downsides?"
I sigh and nod, "Yeah, the weight. I made this thing with the idea of mass production but most of the metals I use would be found at the center of other planets. So I had to go with a metal called steel, another metal called tungsten is harder but is out of the question since I can't even be sure it exists here. I contemplated another one called Osmium for a moment before I remembered it can explode and is extremely brittle anyway."
He stares at me with shock in his eyes before his forehead crinkles up, contemplating for a while. I mentioned about the planets because I have already seen proof that people believe other planets exist.
"Is steel the material you built your building with?" He asks after a few seconds. I shake my head, disproving his guess. "I made it using ornasium, it has the strength of steel but a significantly higher heat resistance."
He stares at the suit for a few moments, "But seeing how it's hanging up, you never used it. Why?"
"I had made it, but then I started remembering even more and I gained the full knowledge I needed for the nightmare suit. I saw no point in using it so I redesigned it for mass production in case Restard started losing the war. But since we are no longer allies, it has just sat here and gathered dust....."
An idea pops into my head as I smile. 'Wait a minute....I'm starting my own kingdom which will need firepower to ward off the other kingdoms! I don't want them squishing this place before we can even start! Since I can't be here all the time, I can give this to my shadow soldiers to use....' I inwardly swear as I remember how it was controlled.
'That won't work, this connects using a sensor near the neck that hooks in and reads the user's commanding signals to move. I don't even think my shadow soldiers have spines!' I sigh again in defeat, trying to think of a new idea to use it.
