I tilt my head as I walk out of the door, "Hey Dreag, you have been on the cube before. You definitely know there is an arena."
I hear Jack shout at me as the chairs disappear, causing him to fall on the ground with a thud. I ignore his angry shouts as I wait for Dreag's response.
He rubs his chin for a moment before shrugging, "It's been 5 years since I last came here, you act as if I should remember the layout."
I nod, understanding his point. 'I shouldn't expect him to remember this place's layout well if at all, a lot can happen in 5 years.'
As we walk down the hall, I see Winter stand up and tag along by my side with a smile. Her tail wags back and fourth as she asks, "Where are you two heading?"
I respond swiftly, "Dreag wants to test my strength, so we are heading to the training field. Wanna come?"
She nods as her smile grows, "This fight is definitely going to be something to see."
Jack runs out of the room, the anger he was feeling moments before suppressed by the excitement to see a fight between to seemingly Divine beings.
"I'm coming as well! Any fight against Dreag is interesting!" I stifle a laugh at his child like demeanor when it comes to fights.
'At least he isn't against it after seeing that World Class beast.' I think as I see a fire burning in his eyes.
I open the door as I open the hologram on my silver band, quickly checking to see if we're staying on course before looking at the cube diagram. As we travel past housing and classrooms, people still stare when we walk by. After all, there aren't any Dragonborn or Orcs in the cube as the population consists of Humans, Werewolves, Mermaids, Vampires, and hybrids.
I look over at Winter who is smiling happily, clinging to my arm as we walk. "How has your mother been lately? She seems to be doing a good job managing the cube so far."
Winter nods causing her silver hair to gleam in the light. "She has been surprisingly happy this past year. I guess running the cube is a relief compared to what happened when you entered, mayhem just follows you." She replies jokingly.
As we continue to walk, I quickly remember that Dreag can't speak English so he probably won't have the ability to talk to anyone unless I get him a band.
I decide to make a small detour and come in front of a certain door with a warning on it. I ignore the warning as I enter to see a bunch of silver crates as deja vu hits me.
'I feel as if I have been in this room before.' I wonder as I look at the crates around us. I look at each of the crates as they have different labels in them. "Medical equipment, scuba equipment, firearms, swords, ah there it is! Spare wristbands!" I pull out the crate as the others on top fall to the ground in a neat stack.
I look around as I quickly find a latch on the edge and softly click it open as a slight hiss could be heard. I open the lid as I rationalize why this container has a latch compared to the others. 'They probably set it up this way in case the power went out in the cube or the things malfunctioned. The cube is supposed to open all internal doors when the power goes out so no one is trapped.'
I grab 2 of the bands and hand one to Dreag and Jack. After looking through the cubes code over these past 5 years, I was able to gather a basic understanding how the wristbands functioned, although I could only skim the code because the amount of it would make my brain explode.
I quickly access the cube's database and create 2 new accounts before logging them in on the wristbands. Jack looks at it with wonder as he looks it over with curiosity, Dreag activates his as I quickly change it to his language so he can do the rest.
Jack looks at Dreag as his eyes go wide, "How do I do that?!" I laugh as I explain to him it's uses while I change the language on his as well. I then guide him to auto translation and choose for English to be translated into Ventristic.
After coming back and fourth for a few years, I was able to input the Ventristic alphabet. Jack's jaw drops as he hears every word that comes from my mouth, his shock growing with every sentence till I swear he is going to pass out.
"Also, you can contact me from far distances like runestones, you can use these without mana as they are powered by the static in the air." I say as he stares at the silver band on his arm, unmoving.
'I think I broke him.' I think as I wave my hand in front of his face, his frozen figure slowly looking over at me.
"This thing must of been created by gods to do so many things, how do you have such items?" I giggle stupidly at his reaction, "This was created by people, humans none the less. This shows you what people can accomplish, and they made all this without magic, so imagine what you can build with magic."
He stares at me with a look of disbelief, and even Dreag looks over at me with a look of confusion.
"No magic? How can you build something like this without enchanting?"
I spread my arms as I say one word, one word that can be used to describe humanity's entire existence. "Determination!"
