The eggs scramble in the pan as the bacon begins to sizzle, meanwhile, me and Winter are talking while drinking the rainbow liquid, I take a drink of it and smile as the taste of pop enters my throat.
'It's very shocking this type of drink exists, it somehow searches the drinkers mind and activates the senses that produce a favorite drink while mana does the rest, I missed pop.' I think as I remember when I first found it.
'When I first saw it, I thought it was oil until people started drinking it. But this stuff is damn expensive! 1 platinum every 5 gallons is just too much!' I complain as I drink it.
I smell the air and turn my head to see the food is done. I quickly grab some plates and silverware made by yours truly before putting food on them, the delicious smell of breakfast in the air as the rays of sunlight begin to touch the plain.
I place the breakfast in front of Winter and place my plate in front of an empty elevated seat to her left and am about to sit down when I remember something. I grudgingly walk over to the fridge and pull out a raw bird of some type, it's neck is long while it's body is large, but it has one leg in its abdomen area.
I walk over to the large bowl in the corner of the room and place the corpse of the poor bird in it. I grab the bottom half of the leg and break it from the knee with ease, tearing it from the main leg. I then walk over and place the torn leg on a platter that rests on the counter. A purple slime happily jumps down and takes it into his body, beginning to dissolve it with ease.
I see Blossom walk into the kitchen as she lays down near the bowl and begins to lick the bird casually, her tongue causing the skin to sizzle. I rub her head as she stops momentarily to chirp happily before continuing to cook her meal.
I turn around and am about to sit down beside Winter to eat when I suddenly hear a beep and a hologram shows up in my view. I see a charcoal colored semi-human dragonborn standing on a grey metal porch, patiently waiting, although a pained expression on her face. I sigh as I inwardly begin to complain again and walk through different parts of the building. 'It's too early in the morning! Let me eat my breakfast in peace, please!'
I enter a living room with a couch in the middle of it. There is a loveseat to the right of it and a chair to the left, forming a U shape as a TV sits on the wall to my left. There is a shelf in the corner filled with books of different types from magic to novels and books.
I walk past the chair and take a right to a conjoined hallway about 3 meters long, a rack to the left attached to the wall holds coats and a few shoes of different varieties. I open the front door to see Princess Elizabeth standing there. After 5 years, she has definitely grown as her height is now 5'2, still short but definitely taller than what she used to be. Her chest has grown slightly larger and her features have definitely sharpened.
"Why are you here so early in the morning Liz?" I ask her with irritation evident in my voice. She wastes no time before speaking, "I want a weapon...correction, I need a weapon." Her voice has urgency in it which makes my irritation disappear almost instantly and then I notice the group of injured dragonborn behind her and her messy and beaten body.
We have been friends and in these past 5 years and I have come to notice that she displays her emotions honestly around friends, but she has rarely had urgency in her voice unless in combat. I quickly wave them in, they look at eachother before limping in. I quickly shut the door and lock it behind them.
"What happened and what type of weapon?" I ask her with a serious tone as I wave them to follow. We walk through the living room as she looks around at its contents while talking, "I have never been in your house before, it's very nice in here..." She realizes she was dozing off and snaps back to the topic, "....sorry. So what happened was I was adventuring with my adventurer group when we were suddenly ambushed by an army from another kingdom."
The light in her eyes fades slightly as she continues, "We fought them with ferocity and were barely able to escape, but some of my friends died." I point at the couch, "You guys can sit here and patch yourselves up." They look at each other nervously before gently sitting down on the furniture, immediately beginning to tend to their wounds.
"Follow me." I tell her as we walk into the kitchen, Winter looks over to see me enter and is about to ask something when Elizabeth enters.
She has a small look of surprise before smiling and waving, "Who is this Kurayami?" I wave between the two while I introduce them to eachother, "This is Elizabeth, Princess of the Fang kingdom. I have known her father for a few years and she is having an emergency so I am going to help her out real quick. Liz, this is Winter, my girlfriend."
Winter nods as Elizabeth waves at her, "Hi....." that's when she notices the ears and fluffy tail, she looks towards me for an explanation but I act like I didn't notice as I enter the warehouse. Elizabeth stares at the tail and ears for a second before quickly turning around and entering the warehouse.
Winter smile dissipates as soon as Elizabeth leaves as she whispers, "You try anything, you will regret it." Before beginning to eat the rest of her breakfast.
I look over at her, "What rank are you and your whole party? And why do you need the weapon, don't you have one that was made by the best blacksmith in town?"
Elizabeth doesn't respond as she looks around at the technology surrounding her in awe. Her jaw lays open as she gazes across the entirety of the warehouse before her eyes land on the two large figures in the room, Program Underworld and the Nightmare. The Nightmare sparks and flashes with lights as the large cuts that haven't been repaired yet are seen, a limb almost mutilated as wires stick out here and there.
That when she murmurs, "Seems he wasn't the best here by far..." as she gazes at the large machines, her worries seemingly gone after gazing at the giant mechs. She quickly snaps back as she sees me walking towards a table. The light in her eyes that was shining even brighter dims again as she remembers her original reason for coming here.
"I am a grade C, there were 2 grade As and 3 other grade Bs. The grade As sacrificed themselves to let us escape, but there were so many....so....many..." she trails off as her hand begins to shake, "I hate them, I want to make them pay-" I immediately interrupt her.
"So you want to, a grade C, have me make you a weapon to take on an army, that took out 2 grade As?" I ask, the seriousness in my voice tangible.
"Please. After seeing all this, I think you can make it possible." She begs as she bows, the pain on her face evident.
"When did this happen?" I ask her, hoping the answer isn't what I think it is.
"A day ago, we lost them in the mountains and you were closer than the kingdom so I came here." She says as she stays bowed.
That's when I hear an alarm and a pitch black screen appears in front of me with white words.
