Auxiliary Chapter

Hello guys and gals, I am making this because, as was pointed out by a very nice review, there isn't much known about our world. I will be describing it in sections and I hope this will help anyone who is confused about things.

First section: Magic

So magic, magic is described as many things, but has usually had one energy, mana. Mana is flowing through all things in the world, from massive creatures like overgrown lizards to little things like the corner of the table you always smack into. Every creature is born with a mana core in this world thanks to mana condensing in their abdomen, but this core will usually stay silent.

The core will awaken when someone begins to try and manipulate the mana within it which then allows them to cultivate their mana and lead them on their journey to grow their now awakened core. Now everyone's core has the ability to manipulate the elements depending on the type of elements the core has determined when it was first made and the core also has a predetermined limit.

You will know when you have reached that limit when you can no longer increase it's size unless it's through....unorthodox means. You may ask why do people have to imagine it then? That's to make the manipulation of it easier along with the veins metaphor as well.

Now, no magic. No magic is another predetermined thing created by the mana core, but it is something everyone possesses. Now only certain people have the requirements to unlock and use it and when it is unlockable, that is when it is read by the magic sensing crystals.

Now the magic language. The magic language was created to help harness the mana into its effects using magic, but sadly no one has been able to decipher it into an actual understandable language as its complexity is too high. This language was created by the precursors of the world, a species that has left its legacy behind for those of its future generations to wield.

Now there are words that have been discovered to have certain effects, so it is written down, but that is the most of their understanding of this language.

Magic circles utilize the letters that were recorded to have a certain effect to create the effect on certain items or places. They also are used to create magical effects that can't be created from spells such enslavement. By the way, enslavement is basically a type of mental magic creating a bond between the host and their minion.

Second section: Species

Next up, species. This world is going to have the largest variety of species I can create from werewolves and vampires to slimes and ghouls. There are different kingdoms for each species like the monster kingdom for example would hold more creatures like goblins, hobgoblins, minotaurs, ghouls, vampires, and many magic beasts but these beasts are different than the ones in the wild as the ones in the kingdom have grown to be more civil and to work for the well being of their kingdom.

The elven kingdom holds...well, elves. The Scaled Kingdom would house more reptilian species such as dragonborn, kobalds, dragons, and lamias.

The human kingdom holds humans, demi human kingdom holds demi humans and beast men.

Now there is the Restard kingdom which is unique from the rest as they welcome any intelligent creature. But since the Restard (or retard as some of you have called.) kingdom are in a war, most reptilian demi humans, monsters, and beast men have left the kingdom due to ridicule.

Now there may or may not be some kingdoms that have stayed silent and hidden....which will reveal themselves later if certain events happen.

Species in my world age differently than in our world. Due to the mana in the air, it gives their bodies the energy to mature faster, leaving their minds behind in age to slowly catch up to their bodies.

Last section: Jobs

There are many ways to make a living in our world from owning a shop to being a royal guard, there is plenty to do. There are a few magical categories that I will describe that will show up commonly in the book. There are normal mages, mages that use spells from their mana. Berserker mages, they cover their body's with mana as hard as armor. Body mages use their mana to increase their body's strength and reflexes. A weapon mage uses weapons that contain mana gems to control mana inside the blade, making the weapon elemental attributes and other abilities. You can usually tell if it's a mana weapon from its special appearance. There are also some less popular choices such as being a beast tamer, a weapon enchanter, an armor enchanter, and a chemist mage.

Beast tamers make a mana bond with their tame that will fight for them or with them. A weapon enchanter and an armor enchanter will use magic inscriptions to make the weapon stronger, but the limit is the gem color, the higher the gem quality, the better the enchantment can be. For example, an orange gem may only allow you to enchant an item with gravity magic that decreases the weight by at most 1 lb. But a purple gem would allow it to feel as if it wasn't there. And last but not least, the chemist mage uses mana, gem powders, and other materials to create potions and reactions for battles. Having a potion that can increase your regeneration could be a deciding factor.

Anyway guys, that is the main basis of the world
