I smile at her reaction as I see her excitement. "Water is a decently powerful element if I'm correct." I say as I smile, which makes her even happier.
"But darkness seems so strong, so I'm slightly sad I couldn't get it." She says as she looks slightly disappointed.
I laugh while waving my hand, "No, darkness isn't strong from what I hear, but I'm an exception." She looks confused and tilts her head, "What do you mean your an exception?" I calm down and look at her entrancing amber eyes.
"I am what they call a divine beast on the surface." This makes her think for a moment before she shrugs her shoulders, "I don't know what that is, currently I'm limited to books about magic worlds for my knowledge."
I nod and wave my hand, "I'll explain another time, anyway, there is one more test we gotta preform." I say as I reach into the bag and pull out a grey stone.
She looks at the grey crystal gleaming in the light that lays on my hand. "What is this one for?" She asks as she takes it and begins to fill the crystal. Suddenly, I hear nothing as she steadily floats in the air, before slowly floating back down with a look of shock on her face as a symbol pops up above the stone. I have shock on my face as I suddenly shout, "Don't move!"
I wave my hand and a book with a circle made of different runes rests upon a brown cover. I immediately start flipping through it till I reach a chapter labeled, runes for control. I look across it until I reach one symbol.
The symbol is a two sided arrow with a purple circle behind it. This symbol is identical to the one hovering above the stone, with two words underneath the symbol in the page. Gravity Magic.
I gulp as my eyes go wide and I see a number underneath the two words. I flip to the page number stated and am shocked to see an half a page of information.
I begin reading in my head, 'This rune is used to create circles for gravity traps or maybe a zero gravity circle if your bored and want some fun. This can either be used as a fun toy or a deadly weapon from being able to crush opponents into nothing, or sending them off the planet, this is a rune not to take lightly.'
Winter stares at me, "What is it Kurayami?" I laugh as I scratch the back of my head and hold out my hand. She looks confused for a moment before giving the stone back. I put the stone back in the bag and, with a wave of my hand, they disappear into my inventory.
I sigh as I look at her, "You have something we call a no magic, meaning that it is a rarer form of magic and two people usually won't have this affinity at the same time unless special circumstances. And your no magic is the ability to control gravity." I say as I sit there thinking.
Her face turns from one of worry to one of shock and then finally to one of happiness. Suddenly, I feel a soft kiss on my cheek as I was lost in my thoughts which is followed by a tight hug. "I can't be more grateful to have met you."
"..."
I sit there in absolute shock as my face starts to blush red. I sigh as I am still thankful it isn't going other places. And when she hugs me, I suddenly feel two soft airbags wrap around my arm. I try to distract myself but when I look up, I see that the seat that was once occupied by Samantha is suddenly gone.
'That sneaky bat escaped so quietly! I would be impressed if I didn't have a wolf girl attached to me.' I think as I look over and see Winter hugging me with her eyes closed and her head resting on my shoulder, the hair on her head glistening silver in the light of the room.
I see her resting there and I just leave her be as I patiently wait for the delicious smelling food to finish. I would say I say there awkwardly, but it was rather comfortable and I quiet enjoyed it. I smell her sweet perfume float off of her and her breathing slow. 'Guess she is asleep.' I think as I close my eyes and rest my back on the couch, seeing how I can't do much else. I begin to refine my mana container while I wait for time to pass, although I secretly would like this moment to last longer.
