Chapter 64 - [Chapter 64] Let The Convincing Begin

I look at my shadow soldier and wave my hand, activating my shadow storage skill. I watch as he becomes ethereal smoke and literally melts before my eyes, like butter in a pan. Then it slides straight into my shadow, a glimmer of purple shimmering in my shadow momentarily before it disappears.

I look up to see the wolf girl gaping in awe at the once physical soldier now gone. I scratch the back of my head and look at one of the metal crates. This crate is small and is about a foot thick cube with rounded edges. I start looking around for a panel and eventually finding something like one. It's a blue hologram keypad with a numbers 0-9 on it.

'I would say this looks like it's made of light but that's because it is.' I then lay my hand on the box and use inspect, and I see a panel pop up before my eyes.

This container is made of a certain alloy that was able to stay in great condition for many many years, but is surprisingly weak to sharp weapons. Which is ironic seeing how this container holds ion blades.

—————————————————————

'Ion blades?' I look over to the wolf girl and ask, "What are ion blades?" She closes her eyes and a moment later, answers my question. "Ion blades are handles which hold energy, they will form to a weapon the user will be most comfortable using. They are in containers like the one your looking at but us kids can't access them, only the manager of the cube can."

I stare at her as I slowly form the same gauntlet that I had used on the vampire. Her eyes go wide as she sees the gauntlet made of shadow on my hand. "What are you doing?" She asks as her eyes narrow. I stare at her while I take the gauntlet and fold it so I am now using one finger. I then turn around as I put my finger on the case and push down slightly, hearing a popping noise along with the screech of metal as my finger enters the case, and I slowly drag my finger till a rough, jagged square is cut in the box.

I then grab the sheet of metal, tossing it on the ground. She stares at me in awe as I pull out two sticks of black that slowly mold to my grip as I hold them, but nothing else happens. I turn around and look at her while curiously look at the handles.

"So do I just say activate or-" I am cut off as all of a sudden the blades start to glow a red color as holograms appear from the handles with a red hue emanating from them.

It shows two blades follow my forearms, going past my hands, and both ending when they grow to about two feet long and about two and a half inches wide. I watch as a metallic ring forms across the back end of my forearms from the back of the blade. I suddenly see as the hologram turns to life as solid black metal forms to create the base of the blades and the sharp part of the blades become red in color.

'These are awesome!' I think as I swing them around a little bit, they cut threw the air so fast that they create wind behind them along with a sharp cutting sound. I look over to see the wolf girl gaping with envious eyes, "You might want to close your mouth before your jaw falls off." I say as I whisper, "Deactivate." The blades suddenly disappear and turn into two handles again. My ring shines as I store them, and my hands become empty.

I see the wolf girl close her mouth and gulp as she notices my now empty hands. 'I should probably not ask him about anything he does from now on. Don't want to annoy him.'

"So what's your name? I told you mine but you haven't told me yours." She nods and apologizes. "Yeah, I'm sorry, I was just so shocked by your sudden appearance before. My name is Winter, nice to meet you."

'Winter? Now where have I heard that name before?' I ask myself sarcastically as I look at her. I suddenly hear a heavy set of footsteps after she finishes talking. 'Guess it's time for her to start convincing. Wait, what the hell is she going to say anyway?!'

She seemingly senses my realization but nods, "Don't worry, I don't know exactly how you entered the cube or what you are, but I have come to the conclusion you aren't from here. I will convince them, and if I can't, we can....think of something on the fly."

I suddenly see the metallic door open and see a large, muscular man with a large orangish red tail behind him. His face looks rough with a strong chin and a slightly wide head, his chin has a little stubble on it, his voice sounds deep but smooth as he speaks. "So what happened here Mavilin?" He asks as he looks over just for us to see the vampire girl from earlier pop up. She then points at me and says, "He showed up from no where and assaulted us, we don't even think he is from the cube! He even had a demon assault me!" She says as she looks around the room in fear.

Suddenly, a pair of wolf ears pop up from his hair and he starts smelling the air, after a moment, he stops and his ears disappear back into his hair. He then looks over at the vampire slightly irritated.

"The only people in here are us and them, but the blood here is strong. Seeing how you and your friends aren't frenzied, he didn't do enough harm to hurt you significantly."

She looks in shock as she looks at him, then us. But before she can say another word, the large man steps forward. "Which sector of the cube are you from young human?" His eyes stare at me as I look over to Winter who nods and then steps up to speak.

"Mr. Morlin, he was from sector D, sadly his parents died from a heart attack and cancer. So in response he was forced to move to sector A. He is currently living with my family till his living accommodations are ready."

Mr. Morlin's eyes constrict as a very faint aura of killing intent releases from him, "Oh really?"
