Chapter 29 - [Chapter 29] What Happened?

I fold up the blade and hold it as I put the black box on my back, I look at Winter, and think of something. "You can change your form, so I wanna test something, can you become a black panther, but instead become eight times larger. "Meow!" Goes Winter as his body transforms, legs sprout as his body solidifies and into a 4ft tall black panther.

"Okay, so you have a limit to how much you can transform. But that makes me wonder, where do you gain the extra mass? And does your strength change along with it?" I ask as I walk towards him. He roars in response, causing a minor avalanche in front of him. "Alright, we have spent enough time in this world, can you fit on my hand again?" He roars quietly this time as a strand of slime reaches out and touches my finger, becoming a slime cat ring again and the panther gets sucked into the ring.

'Home Realm.' Ability: Home Realm, is active. My vision goes black and I reappear in my room, I take off the box on my back and place it down beside the bed. I look at the box and use Absolute Darkness to make a holder for my scythe. On the box's lid appears a black leather like substance covering the top and on it, is a pocket which is large enough to hold many things but I just stick the scythe in it and zip it up.

'Perfect.' I sit on my bed and meditate, increasing my mana core.

Meanwhile in the Shadow Dragon Realm, a discussion of great importance is happening....hopefully.

"So why is your favorite color tan? It's so bland and it's not even a color!" Says a black semi-Dragonborn to a red full Dragonborn.

"I don't know my king, it is just pleasing to see I guess...very calming you could say."

"But again, tan isn't a color!" They continue discussing until a green full Dragonborn runs up to the king, sweating and grabbing their attention.

"You look like you just came out of training, please, go get a drink at the very least." Says the king as he waves down the hall, but the sweating Dragonborn just declines, panting between words.

"No thank you my king...I instead bring...a letter."

He finishes and holds out a letter. The king grabs it without hesitation and opens it, reading the contents of the letter. As he gets further through the letter, he frowns, seemingly disappointed, then his face becomes shocked.

"I must go, please carry on with your tasks." The two full Dragonborn look at eachother and then just stare at the back of their hurried king.

While the king is rushing, he gets lost in his thoughts.

'How the hell could she lose track of him? It's not like he can just disappear, especially after the battle he had. I su-' he gets interrupted as he hears a voice, young yet it has no hint of arrogance in it.

"Hi dad." He looks over to see his nine year old daughter. She is a charcoal colored semi-Dragonborn with no wings. She is about a foot and a half shorter than her 6'5 father, she is currently wearing a purple dress befitting for a princess.

He stops himself, seemingly taking this time to catch his breath.

"Where are going to in such a hurry dad? I only see you running like this when there is cake nearby."

His face that was contorted in disappointment is now laughing. "That's a good one Liz, but dad's in a hurry because he heard that he might of found someone to be your friend."

She looks at him, all maturity gone. "Really?! I never get to play with the other kids and your saying you found me a friend?!" She jumps up and down until she realizes how she is acting and takes a few deep breaths, regaining her cool.

"I can't wait to meet them. When will I ge-"

"I'm sorry Liz but I must get going, love you." He says as he kisses her forehead and starts running off down the hall again, leaving his daughter alone once again. She sighs as if this is a natural occurrence.

When he finally stops running he is in front of a large door that is the word grand. It is a massive set of double doors made of pure steel with the kingdom's symbol in the middle of them. As he walks towards them, they open automatically to let their king enter and what lies before him is two Dragonborn, a full white Dragonborn standing in front of two thrones, one of which holds a white semi-human Dragonborn.

The white full Dragonborn is about 5'6ft tall with a black hood resting on their back, which seems to be connected with a cloak that covers the rest of her body. The white semi-human Dragonborn wears a red dress with black frills, she is about 5'8ft tall and is quite strong looking, with eyes that have experience written within them.

The king walks across the room, passing items that hang on the walls, emanating all types of magical auras. He sits on the throne, his back so straight, a linear line can be drawn from his neck to the chair. He finally looks at the white full Dragonborn, "So please explain, how did you lose him?"

The white full Dragonborn bows slightly before explaining.

"I waited for him to leave the arena preparation room, which he did after a long period of time. I then tracked him to the commoner district where he and the box he wore disappeared into his shadow. That is when I lost track of him my king." The king nods, seemingly accepting her story.

"I see, he is a capable fighter and has mastered a royal ability. I need you to track this boy down immediately, he could reveal a spy in our walls. You can take 50 knights to search for him and when you find him, try to persuade him to come with you, and then bring him to me."

She bows again and turns around to leave. "Before you go! If he refuses, try to sedate and capture him, but no matter what, bring him alive!" The king yells to her, the doors closing behind her as he finishes his sentence. The queen looks over at her husband, her face stern.

"Why are looking for this boy anyway, I can see why now but why were you before?" He looks over at her and sighs.

"There were rumors of a Shadow Dragon King fighting in the dragon arena today. And I believe it is that boy who was the same person the rumors are about."

"Another one? I do not doubt your theory, but what makes you think that Ochil?" The current king of the Fang Kingdom, Ochil looks at his wife.

"I saw the fight and after it ended, he grabbed a black box from the referee. That kid had the same box, and he wasn't in a Dragonborn form." His wife nods, agreeing with his theory.

"This could be dangerous, a new Shadow Dragon King is no small affair." Says his wife, her voice having a slight tinge of worry. "Don't worry, I don't think he is here to challenge me for the throne. Hence why I want to bring him here to talk, no matter his age. And he has mastered a Royal ability, which means we might find a traitor amongst us."
