I walk into the house and into the bathroom, I smile, my big toothy grin gleaming from the crystal light. 'Do dragons and Dragonborn not have to brush their teeth or is it a magic thing with all races?' I stop smiling and use the bathroom, I then grab a quick shower before running upstairs. I see Aeron entering his room and I walk past while saying, "Night." He responds quickly with, "Night." And enters his room. I then enter my room and place Winter down on my bed while I remove my shoes and coat. I lay on my bed while looking up at the sky, the world's glorious three moons hugging the world with it's beautiful embrace. I hear a "Meow." As Winter snuggles under my arm. I rub his gelatinous head and he falls asleep beside me. I close my eyes and give it a minute till I see the swirls of sleep and then darkness.
"Geeeeaaaahhhh!" I yell as I feel someone jump on top of me. I look over to see Elanor, and then I hear the words, "It's Christmas! Come on!" She says as she tries to drag me from bed, still rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I feel a ploop as I feel Winter sit on my head and I pat him. "Morning bud." And I receive a purr and a "Meow" in response. We walk downstairs and see a tree in the living room with a plethora of presents of all types of colors and sizes under it.
Everyone else is siting either on the floor or on the seats. I look over to see someone with their legs still stuck in a cast, everything else is either in bandages or nothing. Elva catches me staring at her pathetic state and looks away, as if she is trying to hide herself. I then sit down on the couch and the others start tearing open their gifts. I wait till their done and see about seven gifts. 'So there might be gifts for me, Yay!' I think as I walk over.
I look at them and about 3 have my name on them, ones a small purple box with a red ribbon on it, one is a lot larger with a circular shape, it has white wrapping paper with a blue ribbon, last but not least is a semi large box, it is slightly larger than my torso and is very wide, it curves at the top but is square on the bottom. it has blue paper and a white ribbon. 'Smallest to largest. That how I'm gonna do it.'
I grab the small purple box and rapidly untangle the red ribbon. I then rip off the purple wrapping paper to reveal...a watch! This watch has a black strap and as I put it on, it automatically adjusts to my hand! 'This must be enchantments.' I think as I look at the face of the watch. It has a symbols of a sun rising, midday, then setting, and three moons rising, midnight, then falling. In the middle there is a hand with a green crystal at the end and it was currently past sun rise and midway to midday. 'I guess they don't have time in numbers here then.'
I then reach open and grab the circular present, it's blue ribbon glistening in the crystal light. I slowly remove it's ribbon and it's white paper to reveal a mask! It's bone white with purple engravings on it. The engravings form what seems to be, a mouth that goes from one side to the other. There are black crystals going from where the bridge of the nose would be to the forehead. I look inside the mask to see...nothing. I decide to imprint it with my mana and when I look inside I see some circular formations with runes around them, two where the eyes would be, one where the mouth would be, and one more on the forehead. I put it on and am shocked by to many things at once.
'I can see and breath normally without any holes! It's like the mask isn't even here! I need to figure out how to use formations at some point.' As I put on the mask, the black crystals start to glow purple and an invisible purple line before appears, connecting them. I hear gasps as I feel power rush from the mask into my forehead. 'This feeling.....this is mana! So this mask replenish's mana, this is awesome! I'm becoming more overpowered by the day!' I look around to see everyone's shocked looks, including Mom's and Dad's. 'So nobody in the family got it for me...I look over to see if there was a tag on the gift and there is one on the mask's ribbon. "From: Solica, I'll be keeping an eye on you."
I shiver as I read the last part. 'Stalker.' Elva stares at me enviously, seeing the crystals glow with power. 'Solica never gifted me with anything like that, it was usually clothes, the most was the armor that she gave me in pieces over the years that got destroyed by that scaly nuisance. She gave me shoes this year with the message, "Be less mischievous, last warning." I will show her!'
I grab my next gift and go to remove the ribbon when I see a note on it again. I reach over and read it. "From: Solica, be prepared for any fight." I am confused as I rip off the wrapping. It's a black box with what seems to be no openings and two straps. 'It seems to be a back pack, but what's in it?' I ask myself curiously.
As I walk around I finally see something on the container. It's midnight base made it hard to appear at first but as I focused more, I could make it out more easily. 'Is this a button?' I ask myself unsurely as I press it. Nothing happens. I then let my midnight colored mana flow into it and it glows blue from where the lid meets the body. I press the button again, my excitement reaching its peak.
*Sssssss* can be heard and the clicking of machinery resound from it as it releases it's locks and opens up to show what looks to be one of the coolest things I have seen in this world, ever.
