The memories that were flowing into Lin Mu's mind were simply tremendous.
It was like a massive ocean was trying to flow into a tiny pond, flooding the banks due to its volume. Lin Mu had to be very cautious to prevent this and carefully 'dig' around the pond to expand its area.
While the memories had been stripped of their ego, which was the harmful part, their sheer quantity alone could still be damaging.
It was akin to someone injuring themselves by attempting to lift something too heavy.
