[Johan's POV]
The door clicked shut behind him. A sigh almost knocked him off of his feet, so he rested his back against the hard wood. Johan couldn't explain the feeling as he walked away from Adrian.
It was twice as painful as leaving Raymond three years ago. But this time, he's not leaving because the person hurt him. He had to leave because he's hurting Adrian, and he will continue doing so if they kept holding on.
Tears blurred Johan's eyes, and it tears flowed to his cheeks like a torrential rain full of broken promises.
'Rain.'
From the bedroom's doorway, Russell stood like a bleak figure while watching him cry. He said nothing, but he approached and pulled him to the comfort of his arms. Johan only cried harder against his chest. And they stood there for a long time until his sobs went down a little. When the need to rest became necessary, Russell picked him up and brought him to the bedroom.
