The first sunrays brushed over the earth, melting the ice crystals formed over the grass and trees. Late autumn had yet to move over to winter, but the temperature was colder than usual, near freezing as the cloudless nights brought chilly winds from the sea to the inner land.
A light knock came from PingZe's door, and he snapped his eyes open, wide awake. Who wanted to see him this early? Surely, XiaoHe wasn't up already and yearning for his attention this soon?
A smile formed on his lips as PingZe hurried up and sauntered over to the door. His night robes were dishevelled, showing off his defined abdomen and collarbones, but he thought it added to his charms.
"So, my little lamb misses me this early in the morning?" PingZe leaned idly over the door frame, a charming grin over his lips as he swung the door open. His smile died a quick death as his eyes landed on an unimpressed MingYu and little AhXin, who was looking at him with bright round orbs.
