Arthur came out of the shower with a towel over his head. He was drying his hair before he realized that his phone had a missed call.
" Butterfly called, " he said as he stared down at his phone.
He was afraid of calling back, " what if she didn't mean to call me " he had asked himself.
He spent the entire day staring down at his phone.
"You have been doing that whole day, please stop and help me out here " Sean complained.
He had been working alone and Arthur was just seated.
"Why hasn't she called back was it a mistake?" he asked.
"Then call her back and see, you know it's that simple," Sean said.
"But if she doesn't pick up?"
"Then it must have been a mistake " Sean sighed.
He stood up and took Arthur's phone.
"Hi that's mine " he shouted but Sean didn't listen and continued to press something on Arthur's phone.
"Here it's ringing now I will excuse myself " Sean smiled and rushed off handing the phone back to its own.
Before Arthur could react to his action he heard Rose's voice
"Arthur?" her sweet voice called his name.
Putting it on his ear he smiled.
"Butterfly," he said.
Both sides fell silent with no one saying anything more. She smiled as he did.
They were talking but with their hearts.
"I miss you too," Arthur said.
Rose hadn't said anything but her heart had done. When Arthur said the words she had said in her heart she almost cried.
"Do you hate me for running away?" she asked.
"Why would I ever do that, am just lost without you here " he cried.
"Am sorry for doing what I did " she apologized.
"I just want you back " Arthur let out.
Sean was listening in on Arthur's conversation with Rose. His ear was plastered to his door as a smile played around his face.
"I will be here waiting for you," he said.
Finally hanging up Arthur turned around and walked to his door.
The moment he opened it Sean fell in front of him.
"Thought you left?" Arthur looked down at him.
"I...forgot my pen " Sean lied.
Arthur raised his left eyebrow, "Then get it and follow me " Arthur said.
Sean got up and followed Arthur.
"What about a pen?" Arthur asked as they entered the car.
"It was in my pocket " Sean smiled.
Arthur chuckled.
"Where are we going anyway?" Sean asked.
"Home?"
"To do what exactly?" Sean frowned.
"To have dinner "
Sean almost collapsed.
"Are you being serious, don't tell me Rose told you to go home to have dinner"
Arthur nodded.
"Then why am I going with you?"
"Cause I want you to "
Sean wanted to cry hearing what Arthur was saying. He had promised Irene a romantic dinner but Arthur had just destroyed that.
They didn't just have dinner but a feast it looked like he was celebrating.
Sean decided to call Irene over to Arthur's place so they could have dinner together.
"It was just a phone call but he changed totally " Sean whispered to Irene.
Arthur was pouring everyone a glass of wine.
"That's how much they love each other " Irene took her glass from Arthur.
"Is that a smile on his face?" Irene asked.
" No that's not his real smile the real one is only for Rose and his son " Sean sneered.
Arthur gave him a look and passed him his glass of wine.
Arthur got up, " Thank you Irene for joining me for dinner today," he said.
He walked away with a smile.
"What about me, the one you dragged from the company " Sean shouted.
Arthur didn't respond and walked up the stairs.
"You lunatic I hate that weird smile on your face so stop dragging me into your boring lonely life " Sean shouted.
Arthur disappeared upstairs and the rest were laughing at Sean. His ears had turned red with anger.
Irene pulled him down into his seat.
"Come down love, your ears are red now " Irene caressed his head.
Sean sighed.
"He will kill me one day " he sipped his wine.
"Calm down and enjoy your wine, then later I will give you a present for keeping Arthur company " Irene whispered.
Sean instantly smiled and gulped down his wine.
Justin was having dinner with his grandfather when they saw Rose walk to them. She has a smile on her face.
"Are you feeling better now?" Justin asked.
She nodded.
She took her seat next to her brother and had her dinner. After staying in her room all day she was hungry so she ate to her full.
"Hi, won't you grow a food tummy if you eat that much?" Justin asked.
After their dinner Rose held her grandfather's hand as they walked around in the garden.
"I will be leaving soon grandfather "
"Then you finally settled your feelings?"
They stopped looking up at the starry night.
"I think so " she smiled.
She felt his warmth as they walked side by side.
They returned inside and found Justin eating apples.
"Justin those are mine," said Rose.
"But I the maid said you didn't want them anymore " Justin frowned.
Rose came closer and pulled them away turning to return them to the kitchen.
But she soon placed them down and ran off.
"Now what's wrong?" Justin shouted after her.
Her grandfather followed her.
"Are you okay dear?" he asked.
Rose was throwing up almost half her dinner he rubbed her back.
After she was done Rose washed her face.
"Am fine just a little dizzy " she said.
He helped her get to bed as he ordered the maids to call the family doctor.
"I think you are too much " he smiled down at her.
Justin came in eating one of the apples she had tried to take away.
"Stop eating those rotten apples, they stink so bad " Rose yelled.
Confused Justin looked down at the apples.
"But it's fine, see " he showed his grandfather.
He checked the apples and confirmed they were okay. Both men turned to Rose with questioning eyes.
