Chapter 150 - "Warmth"

Rose called Arthur telling him about her being given the responsibility of naming Ralph and Alex's son.

"What do you think about it?" she asked Arthur

Arthur agreed and told her any name will be fine.

"I need to get a good name so that Irene won't laugh at me like last time," she said.

" If you need help I will be here," Arthur said.

Rose was already on her way home, She didn't tell Arthur to surprise him.

"I will call you later when I come up with a good name," she told Arthur.

"Okay "

When he hung up Arthur felt depressed again. He knew she was soon returning but he missed her more when he heard her voice.

She sounded happy and that was enough for him but he still wanted her beside him.

They had resolved the issue between them but it felt like something had not been said.

Rose had taken her time to even call him, did she even think about him as he did.

Arthur frowned.

The room felt colder, making the bed feel lonely.

Was this what he had turned to without her, Arthur closed his eyes trying to sleep. But then an image of his son laughing and playing with his toys appeared.

"Don't you miss me too?" he whispered.

Rose arrived home at midnight, little Arthur had fallen asleep. She held him gently and walked out of the car.

Dorothy woke up when she heard noise in the living room.

"Rose?" she called out.

She walked to her hugging her with a smile.

"You came back " she cried.

"Of course I did, I missed you guys so much "

Dorothy took little Arthur from her hands, " Go to him, let me take care of the little one "

Rose kissed her son and walked up the stairs. She moved so slowly and quietly so that she would not wake him up.

She opened the bedroom door, it was dark. Rose walked to the bed.

Arthur was asleep but he didn't look peaceful. She pulled off her overcoat and entered under the covers.

She hugged his body wrapping him in her warm chest. His hands moved instinctively like his body knew who it was, he held her even tighter taking in her scent. His face even in sleep looked happy to feel her next to him.

She let him get comfy and soon she followed him to sleep.

Arthur felt the warmth of the sun hit his face. It was cold last night before he fell asleep. But then he had a dream where he hugged Rose's warm body giving him a peaceful night.

He thought it was a dream because he missed her. But it was so real he could still feel her warmth next to him and her sweet scent.

Arthur moved his hands but then felt someone next to him. Was he still dreaming? He opened his eyes so that he could wake up.

But then he saw her, there laying beside him. Her arms were holding him so close he could hear her heartbeat.

His heartbeat had increased pace, the more he saw her there beside him.

His green eyes stared at her sleeping face. It was the face he always wanted to see every morning and the rest of his life.

Rose woke up when she felt warm lips kiss hers. She could feel his hands on her face. She smiled slowly opening her eyes.

Their eyes met reading each other's feelings.

"Did you miss me?" Rose smiled.

"I did " he nodded.

"But that kiss wasn't enough to show me that you did "

Arthur gave her a smile that was always only for her.

She saw him shift his position as he pulled her closer to him placing her under his body.

His lips met hers again, kissing them. His tongue parted hers invading her mouth mixing his saliva with hers. Her arms held his neck as his lips moved down to her neck then back to her lips.

He left her lips resting his head on her chest. His arms holding her body as they breathed for air.

"I missed you," he said.

She moved her fingers in his hair letting him listen to her heartbeat.

Sean arrived at Arthur's mansion, they had agreed to go to the hospital together again then go to work.

"Morning Dorothy?" he greeted.

"Morning Sean"

"Is Arthur awake yet?" he asked.

Before he could get his answer he saw little Arthur wobbling with the help of a maid to the living room.

"Why is the little guy here, did Rose finally return?" Sean walked to the little angel.

"She did last night "

Sean carried little Arthur.

"Your really the small version of your father " he commented after Arthur smiled at him.

He moved to the living room with him.

"I know your father won't come down right now since your mother returned "

He decided to play with little Arthur as he waited for Arthur.

Arthur and Rose finally left their room and came downstairs. They entered the living room only to see Sean crawling on the floor with little Arthur on his back.

"What are you doing?" Arthur asked.

"What do you think I am doing, am entertaining your son " Sean shouted.

Rose laughed at the scene.

"You look like a fool cleaning my floor with your trousers " Arthur took a seat.

Rose got Arthur off Sean's back.

Sean wanted to shout at Arthur but his eyes landed on Rose.

"Am happy your back we missed you " he smiled at Rose.

"Am happy to be back "

It was then Sean gave Arthur a look.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Arthur looked at Sean.

"I just remembered something, Rose did Arthur tell you he didn't spend two nights at home?" Sean smirked.

But Arthur seemed to freeze.
