Chapter 143 - Her Hand.

The warmth of the sunrise hit his face, Arthur was standing outside the bedroom balcony. His green eyes seemed lost in thoughts.

He knew it was finally time to let Rose decided on her own what to do after she found out about his past acts. It wasn't that he enjoyed it so much but some people just nagged him the wrong way. He wasn't a patient person in business or personal life which made him cold and dangerous when he didn't get what he wanted.

He turned his head back inside the bedroom. She was still sleeping, Arthur smiled when he saw her peaceful face.

He didn't want to destroy that peace so he had promised himself to do what it took to keep it that way. Even when he knew she would not agree with some ways he used.

He sighed.

How would she react if she saw his dark bloody world that he had tried so hard to hide from her? Everything was so perfect that he didn't want anything else but then her father came into the picture. She was strong and put him in his place.

It was finally quiet again but then Justin came into the picture. Taking all his time with Rose, Arthur had tried his best not to punch him In the face sometimes. It was because he knew Justin just needed a place and family to love him.

Arthur smirked thinking about the happiness Rose had when she saw her grandfather. Arthur felt accomplished just seeing the smile on her face.

She was happy and that made him happy. But her father didn't know when to quit. He finally destroyed the last peace he heard making Rose act in a way he had never seen.

Arthur remembered the look on her face that day she stormed into his office. It was something he never wanted to see in her eyes when she saw his face. She had slapped him so hard it made him dizzy.

Her eyes were filled with fear and hate for him but sadness too for being lied to.

He was scared when he saw her ran away from him. That nearly broke him it was the last thing he wanted to see her do. She was fragile but strong, and that made him like her more. She wasn't someone who always needed her protection or help even when he wanted to give it to her. Having been used to working for what she wanted making her a hard worker. Since the day she joined the company and his life nothing stayed the same. The company doubled its profits.

His life had changed in ways that made him shake his head in wonder how she did it. He loved everything about her that thinking about losing her wasn't an option he allowed in his mind.

Losing her would be like he lost his soul. Arthur walked back into the bedroom and sat down on the bed next to her sleeping figure. His hands slowly pushed away her long black hair from her face. Her long black lashes covered her gorgeous blue eyes. His eyes moved down to her lips. The lips he so much always wanted to kiss.

She turned exposing her chest, having worn an open night dress it exposed half of her breasts. His green eyes smiled as they rested on them. His face was covered with a smile as he thought about how he always fought with his son over them.

He bent down his lips meeting with her forehead. She slowly opened her eyes meeting his green ones.

A smile appeared on her face. Rose moved her arms pulling Arthur lowly to her face. Arthur felt her lips greet him with a warm but short kiss.

"Morning hubby "

He glowed, " Morning butterfly "

She giggled as Arthur pulled her up out of bed. He walked to the balcony again this time with her in his arms.

They enjoyed the morning warmth together.

Arthur had taken the responsibility of giving his son a morning bath if he didn't have to go to work early in the morning.

Rose was in the shower so Arthur decided to go bathe his son.

Little Arthur was already up sitting in his crib. Arthur took him out as he giggled happily to see his father.

"Ready for your morning bath, son? " Arthur asked.

Little Arthur played with the bubbles in his tub as Arthur washed him.

He gently raised his little body out of the tub after, holding him in a towel. He held his father as he walked back to his room.

Rose was drying her hair when she saw Arthur walk in with their son. She turned around with a smile on her face.

The moment he saw his mother little Arthur smiled and clapped his little hands.

She opened her hands and received him from Arthur.

"Morning my little prince?" she kissed his little lips. He was jumping up and down in his mother's arms.

Arthur got the hair drier and continued to dry her hair.

Little Arthur soon fell silent as he watched his father dry his mother's hair.

His face was covered with curiosity as he watched what Arthur held in his arms.

"What do you think he will be when he grows up?" Rose asked watching her son's curious face. His little eyes followed Arthur's movements.

"What do you want him to be?" Arthur asked back.

Rose caressed his little head and said, " someone like his father ".

Arthur was surprised at her answer wondering why she wished that. " Why would you want him to be like me. I don't think am the right model for him " he said.

"You might think your not the right person because of your past but your different now and that qualifies you "

Arthur finished drying her hair.

"And besides your his father that is more than enough," said Rose.

"What if I don't make a good job of it," he said.

"Then just trust my judgment " Rise smiled.

They left home after breakfast and headed to the site. Arthur looked disturbed thinking about Rose's reaction to what she would see.

Rose was holding his hand as she looked out the window.

Sean was already there when they arrived.

"Arthur are you alright?" Sean asked his friend.

He nodded but his face said something else.

"Why is he worried?" Sean thought, his eyes moved to Rose who looked calm and ready to see what they hid there.

"It's been long since I came back here," Sean said as they walked through the enormous warehouse.

Rose was still holding Arthur's hand as they walked.

Her eyes looked around noticing how desolate it was.

Finally arriving at the entrance they entered. It was shabby and smelly.

Sean still leading the way ,he stopped at one room. he turned around and looked at the two holding hands.

Arthur looked sick while Rose looked anxious but scared at what sue was going to see.

This is Archie's room, am not sure if he's still breathing so let us check it out " Sean opened the rusted door and entered.

Rose looked up at Arthur and smiled then lead him inside.

A strong smell of drugs assaulted her nostrils as she walked in. It was occupied with one bed and supporting devices. Archie was laying on the bed unconscious.

Rose froze seeing his face again, but this time there was no arrogance he had last time. He looked weak and almost lifeless.

She moved closer and realized the scars he had, she turned around and looked at Arthur.

"You did this?" she asked

"Yes?"

She gave Archie one more glance and walked out.

Sean closed the door and walked further in front.

Rose was now pale.

"If you can't do it we can leave, " Arthur told her.

"Am okay " a shaky voice answered back.

"This one is for that lunatic Victoria, she's still crazy so keep your distance," Sean said.

They walked in but the room was lit with dim lights. Half the room was in darkness with a rusty smell.

This time Arthur walked in first leading Rose.

A skinny figure stood in the corner of the room. Dressed in white it almost looked like a ghost.

"Hi, you have visitors " Sean shouted. But Victoria didn't respond.

"Victoria " Arthur shouted

She turned instantly, her long hair covering most of her face. She walked to them but then stopped.

Rose looked down and realized Victoria was shackled by the legs.

Rose gasped in fear and shock her hand finally letting go of Arthur's hand.
