Justin returned home with a gift for Rose. He always bought her something on his way home.
The house was quiet and empty. He could hear noise coming from the pool.

Justin turned around and ran away not wanting to see more. It seemed they had chased everybody in the house so they could have fun.
"It's true what Sean said, they can't get enough of each other " He mumbled as he left the house with a red face.
Richard had decided to stay low for a while as he thought about what to do.
The old man had not contacted him again after he met with his grandchildren. His plan had failed just because Arthur had to intervene.
"He thinks he can protect her forever " Richard sipped his drink.
He looked at the documents he had received. The one on top had Arthur's picture on them.
"Dad what do you plan to do now, I told you Arthur wasn't someone you would mess with," his stepdaughter told him.
"When Arthur disappears Rose will remain valuable. She will get in-laws and friends but she will still not be strong like when she has him by her side " Richard smiled.
"From what I heard, Arthur has made a lot of people disappear just because they messed with Rose," she said.
They had found out how Arthur had killed the loan sharks that had harassed Rose, then Victoria who was once his lover, Archie his relative, and Nathan who had come to revenge for his love Victoria.
"But where does he keep all those bodies he must have a secret place he deposits them, " Richard thought.
"I don't think even Rose knows what Arthur is," his stepdaughter said.
"Then I will help her see it and maybe we may get something from it " Richard grinned.
Arthur and Rose arrived at work the next day on time. They each left for their own office ready to do their work.
Arthur started where Sean had left off. Sean arrived later and headed straight to Arthur's office.
"And the king finally returns " he shouted.
Arthur gave him one look and returned to his documents.
"You bailed one on such an important day and didn't even bother to check on me, are you still my friend," Sean asked as he took his seat.
"You handled it so well am almost proud of you," Arthur said without raising his head from the documents.
"Almost? Arthur your really a shameless bastard " Sean retorted.
Sean was still scolding Arthur when Rose entered his office.
"My savior makes an entrance, " Sean said as he watched her come in.
"Morning Sean " She greeted with a smile.
"It was only Rose who thought about me when she sent Irene to my office. Take a leaf from your wife Arthur or you will soon lose a friend " Sean asserted.
Arthur chuckled but said nothing.
Sean glared at his friend but failed to say anything more.
"Have a nice day Rose and to you Arthur a bad one " Sean declared as he left Arthur's office.
Rose was just finishing her last report so she could go have lunch with Arthur when a package came in for her.
"Who is it from?" she asked her secretary
"It's just addressed to you," she said back.
Rose took it and opened exposing its contents. It was a letter from her father and a huge envelope.
Rose opens the letter and reads its contents. It read how her father was apologizing and sorry for what he had tried to do. He told her how he had decided to help her get a clear and bright path from the one she was already on.
-" you didn't try finding out anything about your husband before you fell madly in love with him. So as a father, I decided to open your eyes to the truth " she read.
Rose now intrigued continued to read the letter.
-"His family staying in power for all this time it accomplished by the bloodshed of their competitors. They have been ruthlessly killing people like insects without thinking twice. Your father in law was the most ruthless of all their generation and his son Arthur preceded him " Rose felt her hands tremble as she read all the information her father had sent.
She opened the envelope that comes with the letter, her eyes met with pictures of Arthur and Sean before she even knew them on what seemed to be a ship. Their men were dragging a man and a woman to it.
She looked at Arthur's face that had no emotion or remorse for the victims that he had killed.
"Everybody has a past, it's just that he is this bad " Rose told herself.
Her phone rang still hooked she blindly picked it up.
"I guess I have helped you see the truth," a voice asked.
Rose fell silent knowing it was her father's voice.
"You never wondered where all those people who hurt you in the past disappeared to or how a businessman would be so feared in the whole country?"
Rose shut her eyes as tears followed down.
"You innocently entered his dark dangerous world, married him, and even had a son together but never got to know who he was That was so stupid of you daughter " her father laughed.
She could hear the mockery in his voice as he said those words.
"You're just like your mother naive and easily blinded by what you call love. You married a monster that is worse than me "
Rose ended the call not wanting to hear any more of her father's painful words.
She could not control her tears as she cried.
Her secretary rushed in gaping at why she was crying. Rose felt her head hurt as she asked herself if just all her father planned to destroy her marriage.
She started at the pictures on her desk and knew it wasn't a lie. That was her husband's face but the expression it held wasn't for the Arthur she knew.
She tried getting up but her legs felt weak dropping her back to her seat.
The secretary rushed to her helping her get up.
"Where do you want to go?" she asked Rose.
"To my husband's office," she said.
Rose dried her tears collected the pictures and walked to Arthur's Office.
Arthur was talking with Sean about a business deal when Rose came in.
They both looked up, Rose's face was stained with tears while her eyes had turned red.
Arthur got up worried at how she looked. She walked up to them both and threw the pictures on his desk.
Before they could see what it was, Rose slapped Arthur's face shocking both Sean and her secretary who had followed her.
She walked away as tears streamed down her face.
Arthur had felt a sting on his face when Rose slapped him. He had not expected that from her that it caught him off guard that he staggered a little before he could get his balance back.
He turned back only to see her disappearing back walk through the door.
"What just happened?" Sean exclaimed.
He looked down at the pictures and withered recognizing their faces.
Arthur looked down too and knew what just happened.
"But who?." Sean said.
Arthur dropped into his seat "This is bad "was all he said.
