Richard and his daughter returned home late in the night. Justin was in his room when he heard them arrive.
He walked out and met them in the living room.
"Hello brother, did you miss us?"
Justin gave her a fake smile and said, " Not really, I was too busy not thinking about you "
"We will be contacting your twin sister tomorrow, this plan has to succeed no matter what," Richard said.
"I don't think Rose wants to see us especially you father " Justin pointed out.
Richard smiled, " I know she doesn't but after I tell her about what I found out she will "
Justin wondered what he meant, he tried finding out more information by asking questions but his father didn't give him the full details.
He decided to wait until they met Rose to find out. But he still gave her a heads up by sending her a text about what he found out.
"Justin just sent me a text message," Rose said.
She read it and then told Arthur.
They had been waiting for his feedback and finally, they got it.
"Do you mean that whoever wants to see or take you away is related to the three of you?" Sean asked.
"So it seems " Rose answered.
"So are you going to wait for him to contact you or meet him first?" Sean asked.
"I don't want to face him but I have no choice and getting him off guard is a better option, Rose said.
Arthur agreed so they decided to go see him the next day before he contacted her.
Early the next morning, Arthur and Rose drove to her father's home.
Just. who was expecting them wasn't surprised like his father and stepsister. But he played along so he could fool his father.
"I wasn't expecting this visit but am happy anyway since I was going to contact you myself," Richard said as he led them to the living room.
Rose took her seat next to Arthur. Justin sat on the other side with his father and sister.
"And why did you want to contact me ?" Rose asked.
Richard locked eyes with Rose and said, "There is someone who wants to meet and your brothers "
"And who would that be?"
"He was close to your mother that when he heard you existed he was filled with joy," Richard told them.
"Mom had no close friends we didn't even know our relatives. So who is this mysterious person ?"
"You have your answer in what you just said " Richard smiled.
Rose looked at Justin then her father again. So the person who wanted to see them was their relative.
"He was your mother's father which makes him your grandfather," he said.
Rose fell silent as she tried to analyze what he said.
"You mean we have a grandfather?" Justin asked.
"Yes, son and a very rich grandfather at that " Richard smirked.
Rose looked at him and knew why he was interested in uniting them with their so-called grandfather, it was because he was rich.
She smiled and she got up from her seat.
"Sorry to disappoint you but I don't plan on meeting this so-called grandfather, so if that was all then excuse us," she said as she walked away.
Arthur having been silent the whole time followed her outside. She entered the car and hid her head within her hair.
Arthur got inside and started the car and soon they were far from her father's place.
Noticing her behavior Arthur stopped the car.
"Butterfly what's wrong?" he pushed her hair away from her face. It was full of tears.
He pulled her into his embrace waiting for her to calm down.
"They are all the same, even our grandfather would trade us for money and our father would not think twice about giving us a way to a stranger " she cried.
Arthur didn't say anything but held her in his arms.
Back at her father's house, he was so angry as he threw things away.
"That brat wants to kill me, does she think this will stop me. No..she will meet her grandfather whether she likes it or not " he shouted.
Justin watched his father's reaction and worried for his sister.
Later in the day after the incident, Justin called Rose.
"Hi are you okay?" he asked.
"Am fine, did anything happen?" she asked.
"No, but after you left father was so angry that he almost destroyed the whole house "
Rose listened as she wondered what to do next. After her call with her twin brother, she laid back down on the bed.
She felt mentally and emotionally exhausted by her family Drama.
They had been a perfect family but her father abandoned them, then her mother left. But even now that he's back all he cares about is his selfish needs.
She closed her eyes thinking about her smiling mother who always fought to give them everything and always smiled even when she was at her last end.
"I wish I was strong like you mother " Rose murmured.
Arthur having disappeared after bringing back Rose home walked into their room.
"Butterfly someone is here to see you," he told his wife laying on the bed.
Rose still feeling down didn't respond to his words.
"It's someone who would really want to see you," Arthur told her.
She replied in a weak voice, " Am not in the mood to see anyone "
"It's your grandfather " Arthur finally said .
