Rose arrived at the venue on time. Her father was already there waiting for her. He was dressed smartly in a suit as he allowed so dashing.
She could not deny that Ralph's handsome face was got from him. He smiled when he saw her arrive, leading her to their table.
"Thank you for coming," he said.
Rose took her seat without saying any word and ordered water.
"Is that all you going to order and have?"
"I don't think am in any mood of eating with you tonight. I just want you to say what you want and leave " She started her point.
Rose saw him frown but a second later it disappeared and was replaced with a smile. His smile made her feel even more scared.
"So you got married and even had a child," he said as he cut into his beef that had been delivered.
"Your not even a tiny bit qualified to say anything about my life "
"Am sorry if I offended you, I just want to know you that's all " he said.
Rose chuckled at his words, " You better choose your next words carefully or this will the last time you see me " she said.
He was surprised to see her act that way, the Rose he remembered was sweet and gentle even when angry she never talked like that.
Before he could say anything else Rose talked.
"I know your company is almost bankrupt, so if it's money that brought you back like always my husband can handle that. But I don't want to even see your shadow lurking around us after it's done " Rose explained.
He looked at her in awe, she had changed into a scary person. She looked just like her mother but her personality wasn't even close to her at all.
His plan would be sabotaged if he only got money for her.
"Okay am not going to hide it anymore. I would take the money but I don't think it would be sufficient " he said.
"You want more without even knowing how much I was offering " Rose sneered.
"I think it would be better if I stay and play my role as a good father so I can be able to receive unlimited money from you and your husband. Am not being greedy just want to a share of being your father " he shamelessly said.
Rose stood up and poured all the water in her glass onto his face.
"You're a shameless old man. I thought you changed but your still that arrogant selfish man you were in the past. " She got her purse and walked away.
His face and suit got all wet, he watched her walk away in anger. He wanted to do it the easy way but it seemed it wasn't going to work.
He used the napkin to dry himself and remained sitting.
A man and a lady come walking and sat at his table.
"I never thought she was that tough, She looks exactly like her, " the man said.
"Dad, I told you it would never work, " Natalia said.
Rose's father smiled, there is someone who can help us. You kids just seat back and watch " he said.
They later left the restaurant together. Rose who had pretended to leave was in a parked car outside the restaurant watching them leave.
"Who do you think is the man?". Sean asked.
" I don't know, but they both weren't there when I was talking to him " Rise said.
"They must have been nearby and when you left they came out " Arthur explained.
"Bestie, I think your father is more dangerous than we thought, " Irene said.
After her father's car left Rose and her gang left too.
On their way home, Irene started laughing out of the blue.
"She is going crazy?" Arthur asked.
They all turned to her, Irene stopped laughed, and said, " I just realized that we all left home, hid in the car, and spied on Rose's father and his followers "
"Yeah it's crazy," Rose remarked.
"We have to protect Rose, her father seems crazy enough to do anything for money," Arthur said.
They all agreed on that.
Sean and Irene were dropped off then Arthur and Rose rode home too.
"He looked me in the eye and said all that without even flinching it. His more crazy now " she said.
"He won't even have a strand of your hair " Arthur assured.
After a week since her meeting with her father Rose got a call from him. He was still begging her to accept his deal. She had asked Arthur to cut the deal they had with them destroying any connection they had started to get with them.
Rose ignored all his tricks making him more anxious.
He decided to come to the company to beg her but found out she had left for lunch. So he moved to Arthur's office.
"Why are you here?" was his first question.
"That why she changed it because of you "
Arthur smiled but Rose's father felt his body react differently with goosebumps.
He felt scared of the man in front of him for a certain reason. He was looking at with green eyes full of danger. Trying to shake it off he talked.
"I wanted to see my daughter but she isn't in," he said.
"My wife doesn't want anything to do with you and I advise you to stop bothering her or your two dogs of kids will bury you sooner than they think"
Richard looked at Arthur and gave him a weak smile.
"I just want help for my company and her love that's all," He said
Arthur got up and walked to his desk and called for security. They arrived within seconds and took out the unwanted guest.
"And never let him into this company again " he gave his order.
He was thrown out without even an ounce of kindness him being Rose's father.
He felt humiliated and angry, he got up dusted himself and walked to his car.
Rose decided to stay with Irene at yet bakery and tried her baking. They had fun as they chatted. Time went by and soon it was evening. Arthur had offered to pick her up so Rose waited for him.
"Will you be okay by yourself?" Irene asked.
"I will don't worry and get home. Arthur is almost here " Rose said.
So Irene left without thinking about it twice leaving her best friend who is prone to always being kidnapped outside on the road alone. With her crazy father still lurking around her.
Rose stayed there as she waited for Arthur who didn't know she was out alone waiting for her.
A car drove to where she was standing and lowered its front window.
"He wants to talk to you, "a strange man said.
" Tell him am busy I don't have time for him, " She said.
"I would love to do that but he wants me to deliver you instead," the man said as he got out of his car and moved to Rose.
